I had the most awful shopping and customer service experience at Shona Joy. I tried to get a credit for a sale item which cost almost a few hundred dollars! It was brand new, unworn and with its tags attached. I emailed Shona Joy on May 8th, then followed up twice on May 12th and again on May 16th. I finally received a response on May 25th to say they offer no refunds/credits/exchanges on sale items. Firstly, they promote a 24-48 hour response time, which is a joke. And secondly, I’m stuck with an expensive dress that I cannot use. A few hundred dollars may not be a lot to them but it is to me. The business is not at a loss for offering a credit/exchange so this feels like a shamelessly greedy act on Shona Joys part. Overall, it was an extremely poor customer experience from the brand as a whole for me. I will not be purchasing from them again. I caution you to be absolutely sure about an item before you make your purchase as this company does not look after its customers.

I wish I had done my research before I bought from them. From these reviews I never would've bought anything from them. They trick you on their website when they say they accept returns. Like the reviews on here, yes they take returns, but they charge you a $40 fee to return them on top of charging you to send back the items. Shipping back to them from outside of Australia will cost you dearly and makes no sense to send back the item. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!

NEVER order from Shona Joy unless you know for 100% fact that you will 1. fit into the size you ordered and 2. want to keep it. They don't pay for returns, and it would cost me over 50% of the value of the item to return it. Absolutely nuts that a company these days doesn't offer free, paid returns. DO NOT buy from this company. While the dress is beautiful, it's cheaply made and I would never say it's worth the price I paid for it.

They have beautiful but very expensive clothes. Do NOT purchase from them. If you return an item it will cost you dearly and you will never hear from them again. I have sent a customer service email every day for 3 weeks but no response at all. No money returned or item returned. Their customer service phone number doesn’t work from the U.S. and they do not have an online chat like they advertise!

Do not shop with Shona Joy... Their returns process and policy are ridiculous and they do not offer reasonable timeframes to return for refunds for online purchases- full price. Their "team leader" from the customer care team Aimee is certainly not a pleasure to deal with. The reason for the returns is due to their sizing being incorrect and not true to the size purchased online- i purchased 5 full price dresses and non of which fit correctly even when sizing. The quality of their fabrics and products are horrible... I deal with a lot of high end women's designer brands and have never had such a horrible experience with online shopping and returns. Beware!!!

I emaild them to ask for help with my measurements and they were super kind and helpfull! Also the dress was the most beautifull quality and it arrived 2 days early even! I can 100% recommend them :)

Really disappointed that they do not offer a size exchange on a sale item.... with no assistance or suggestion as to what I am to do with a $250 dress that does not fit despite doing using the sizing guide. What a shame.

Do not shop here!!! It is false advertising that they have “easy returns”. They have a time limit and make you pay the cost of international shipping which is more than the product is worth. There is no customer service and they are literally robbing customers. I can’t imagine they can get any repeat business. Buyer beware!

I bought a white linen vest and pants. I washed the pants as per instructions - handwash cycle, cold power washing powder, and the pants have changed to a whiter colour! I can no longer wear them with the vest, which is disappointing as I bought them as a set. Customer service was unhelpful and just insisted that I had bleached the pants. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I am very disappointed!

Ordered a dress for a possible wedding dress option. Came quickly which was great! What’s not great is the 10 day return policy as well as the $170 cost to ship back the dress. Be careful when ordering! Make sure you’re really set on the item & not wanting to order it just to “try.” It’s not worth it to send it back. The shipping cost is more than half the cost of the item. When I reached out I was told that this had been an issue recently and that they were “working on it,” but didn’t have a solution. They recommended I use parcel monkey, which is a 1 star reviewed discounted postal service. Super disappointed and will not be ordering from them again!

Purchased a slip that was way too short and small despite being a consistent medium. Had to pay for return shipping and selected a store credit as there was a dress I was hoping to buy that was flagged as being restocked January 15. The dress was not restocked on that date so I asked for a refund instead. Took a week to respond and in the end I only got a response because I called. I was simply told that it wasn't possible to convert a store credit into a refund. I explained the situation and explained that the event I was hoping to wear the dress to has passed and asked if they could tell me why a refund was not possible. Another 10 days to respond and was simply told 'its not possible'. Extremely disappointed with the service, would not buy from Shona Joy again.

I ordered a two piece silk suit for a magazine photoshoot on a Monday, photoshoot was scheduled for Thursday mid-morning. I met mention i also had express shipping from SYD-ADL. I unfortunately missed the cut off time on Monday so my order wasn't processed until Tuesday. I called Tuesday to ask if it would be sent out that day and she said no, but she can put a request in for it to be done. I thought great, fingers crossed it gets sent out. Wednesday morning comes and no dispatch email. By that point i'm thinking well everything for this shoot is centred around this silk suit so i will request for it to be pushed back to Friday at 12noon. Finally on Thursday morning at 9am on the dot i call customer service to ask where the package is and how has it gone from processing Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning to not shipping until 9:15am Thursday. While i'm on the phone with her i get an email saying it has been shipped. Friday morning rolls around and still nothing, so i call AUS Post and ask for more up to date tracking info. They basically gave me nothing and said there's no guarantees it'll be delivered in time. Finally i give up and scrounge together other clothes for the model (so disappointing to not be able to fully execute my vision). I get to the shoot by 11:45 and get on with it. Checking my phone half way through i have a message saying it was attempted delivery at my workplace (metro-zoned) at 2pm. Just seriously so disappointing and frustrating process. No one has been helpful or even tried to push to get it here quickly. I mean this is why we have express post and i understand everyone is under the pump but i am frustrated. Now i will be returning it, i have had to lodge a return, explain in detail why i'm returning it so it actually gets accepted. Onto of all of this i have to pay for it to be returned and it must get there by the 4th of Feb (4 days) to be accepted as a return. What a joke, there's no urgency for my order to be delivered on express, that's what i've paid for, but the return needs to get back to them asap. I will not be purchasing from here again. I wouldn't recommend this brand for anyone. I found the customer service un helpful and rude. Shipping time is terrible, as well as the over all experience being a down right joke.

Unfortunately I am more and more disappointed with Shona dresses lately. Majority of the styles are only made to fit size 6 tall women. I purchased a beautiful dress that was worn by a model with smaller breasts, size 6 and very tall. Gorgeous but not the average female. I am a size 10 and the dress did not fit anywhere on me at all. Gaping at the back, breasts and so tight across by bottom. Unless you look like the models, do not purchase. Shona - please start using real bodies on your website so we can see what these dresses look like on the average woman.

Terrible customer service. I sent a dress back that did not fit as I am pregnant. I received an email stating there was a mark on the bottle hem and they wanted to deduct $30. Considering I couldn't get the dress past my bust not sure how it's possible for me to have left any sort of mark. They also mentioned if I don't except the $30 charge they will send it back to me. I most certainly did not mark the dress. Get your microscope out to see the mark in the photos attached.

Customer service is horrible, bought a dress on sale (still $350) and didn’t fit. It’s an online store so the only way to try things on is to buy it and then exchange it for a different size. The woman on the phone said the only way I can get the size that fits me is to buy a second dress for another $350. Will never shop here again.

I am shocked at some of the reviews for Shona Joy. I rarely leave reviews for businesses, because unfortunately most businesses don’t give me a real reason to do so. Shona Joy has been absolutely amazing and very accommodating to me. Their customer service team has been incredible and were always happy to answer any questions I had (I’m in the US). The dress a purchased was shipped and received very quickly (1 week US) and was an absolute DREAM. I purchased the Bias Sleeveless MIDI to wear on my wedding day. The quality was better than I expected honestly, the dress is double lined and incredibly flattering. I was worried about the silky material being revealing, but it was not at all. This particular dress is amazing for larger chested women. Their dresses and clothing are all very original and classy. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and will be a customer for as long as I can be. If you have any questions or concerns, I recommend reaching out to customer service. For the record, this was my first purchase with Shona Joy and they treated me as if I had been a customer for years.

I purchased two dresses for my graduation and was incredibly impressed with the quality and sizing of the garments. Initially I was concerned that I had gotten the wrong size to fit my body however the dresses fit me amazingly, no tailoring needed. I chose to keep one dress and the domestic return process was very easy. After reading their return policy I was fully aware that I would need to cover the return shipping cost and was glad to do so. The dress I have kept is exactly what I looked at and ordered online and it outlines my body so well. Although the pricing is not the cheapest you get your moneys worth and it is not see through. I ordered a AUS size 10 and thought I would need to size up but that was not needed and the delivery came within days of purchase. My dress is the La Lune Lace Back Maxi Dress in Olive and uses sustainable fabrics. I cannot fault the dress in any way and would 100% recommenced this website to anyone.

I bought a dress $380 that came with 2 stains, they did return my email super quickly and even sent me a smaller size because my one was too big, everything with no extra cost, the dress is beautiful and I’m really glad that I bought this dress
