“Quality of the handrail seems to be very good and it came supplied with stainless steel screws and wall plugs for fitting to wall, which was a nice surprise. Delivery was within the 3 to 12 working days quoted at time of ordering, albeit towards the higher end. One little thing that has meant a rating of 4 rather than 5 is the so-called tracking system on the SimpleHandrails website. This simply did not get updated. Two days after my handrail was delivered it still said that my order was being prepared and that the data would be updated once it was ready for dispatch. Clearly this was incorrect. Additionally I received an email saying that my order was on its way on 16 June but the Tuffnells system only said that it had been collected on 18 June, which was confusing.”

“Cant fault the quality of this item, arrived in reasonable time given circumstances, was well packaged. You do need a bit of DIY skills to assemble however not to much and could really best be done with two people, although one can do it with a bit of effort. Only fault if you can call it this, is that the ends of the actual bannister could do with being predrilled at centre as I found it a bit difficult to align precisely end caps and joiner. Would have rated five star if ends had been predrilled at centres”

“Very nice handrail at a decent price, however the customer experience was not the best, as the delivery window of 3 days to 3 weeks is terrible to expect a customer to accept. Delivery company Tuffnell you cant track, so you have to stay in all day and wait. They need to understand we are are all customers with exacting expectations, and when a company doesnt keep you informed and when you have to contact for an update, the attitude was we are busy, no apologies just you will get it when we get round to it. So in order to expand as a company they need to up their game on customer service and drop the attitude when customers expectations are not met. Customers dont empathise nor are interested how busy a supplier is, it's the suppliers issue not the customers, however basic information on progress does help.”

“Received handrail within stated timeframe, looks good installed. Comments for improvement, no screws to attach the wall brackets to the handrail included in the box of parts, no list of parts so no idea whether they should have been included. Requested advice through website contact tab, never got a reply. Other than that, all good”

“Very good service given our current situation .we were delivered a lovely length of “British Oak. When put in place and oiled with Osmo door oil the grain come up lovely . I would recommend them.and use them again”

“I bought 2 metre Oak rail. The supplied brackets were not used as my wife felt they caused the handrail to protrude too far from the wall.Also the metal ends came off the plastic centres too easily. I would have preferred an option to buy other bracket sizes. I ended up buying 62mm brackets from Screwfix.”

“Great quality and very good prices. Delivery was bit longer than normal due to covid 19 crisis but when advised kept up to date with time etc which was late at night but could see that they are trying their best to ensure customers received orders. Would have given 5 stars if they had just advised of longer run in time as had to contact them couple of times to find out about my order. Saying that ordered more from company!”

“Handrails delivered very quickly, unfortunately one bracket was missing. Spoke to SimpleHandrails who despatched the missing bracket. Very pleased with their service especially as some of their staff are working from home due to the covid 19 restrictions.”
