“Starts out relatively decent except for the fact they make you jump through hoops to get anything. After that communication becomes terrible. No one reached out to me to let me know my insurance used a specialized pharmacy. I only found out when I reached out asking them not to send anymore female condoms. That’s when I got an “oh, we’re sorry we didn’t reach out to you.” So they were going to let me go without birth control instead of taking time to let me know there was something up with my pharmacy. When I told them I was gonna to have that pharmacy refill my script no one answered. When I did reach out to them about doing the $15/month plan I got a response that they closed my account. Never got a warning. Takes forever for someone to respond. I got better, quicker, more cost effective service with GoodRx. Do your research, skip this one.”
“I love the idea of Simple Health and the process was relatively simple to get started. The birth control I was prescribed had a very negative impact on me. My period got way heavier and lasted much longer, my hormones went crazy to the point of depression, and I just didn't feel like myself. I stopped taking them and my period went away and I gradually started feeling better. I asked to stop my birth control and was told by the prescribing doctor that it may take 3 months for my body to adjust. That is WAY too long to be feeling DEPRESSED to the point that I stated I was. I just didn't feel like I had any support. I asked to cancel and get a refund of the $20 I had to pay (which I wouldn't have had to if I went to a doctor in person). My prescription was canceled but I still haven't received a refund!!”
“I love how simple health helped me get birth control but honestly the birth control it self was very bad the first day I got it I started to bleed all the way til the second pack”
“I gave the "poor" review because I am not at all satisfied with the pills I am using. I started my period as soon as I started taking the pills and I have been on it for almost a month. I thought it was finally about to be over and it starts again. The whole reason I wanted them was to stop my menstrual cycle. I guess I understand that medication works differently for everyone but this is very disappointing.”
“I have had issues the past 4 times my subscription was supposed to be sent. This service, while convenient ruins my cycle due to lack of accuracy and following up.”
“Started out great, but after a few months, I was notified by my health insurance that the Simple Health pharmacy would no longer be in-network after a certain date. Upon receiving that info I asked Simple Health how to transfer my prescription. Without asking, Simple Health canceled my prescription (even though I was due another prescription before the end date). TL,DR: started out great, ended poorly.”
“Simple Health is convenient if you know the birth control you want. If you have any issues it’s hard to get in touch with the prescribing dr & you should still have a traditional gyno.”
“Great customer service, but I just had the worst symptoms on this birth control. I bled everyday I was on it, and was soo nauseous. I hope others are having a better time with it and hopefully it was just a handful of people:)”
“I’ve been ordering birth control for over a year now, during the yearly mark I was going to pay to have my prescription refilled but simple health took $80 out of my account anyways. It took another $100 after I refilled my prescription, and took a week for my refund to process. I just had another $20 taken with no receipt to show why or what it’s for. I’m thankful for my birth control, but unhappy with the billing process.”
“I've got my 3 months pills together with women's condoms which I thought was complimentary since I never ordered however when checked my insurance claim found that it was 377 dollars which wasn't mentioned at all
I don't understand this but I am sure it is such a rip off the charge 377 dollars just on 24 women's condoms which I never wanted.
I wrote to them but I just received a very confused response...be very careful!!!”
“Charges $20 for "unlimited access to doctors" (which is something that should be covered by insurance). I searched and asked and never received any way to contact a doctor, which was a problem because I was experiencing severe side effects. I tried to cancel my order BEFORE it was sent out, but they did not process the cancellation before it was sent out and refused to refund me. Overall, go with another one of the 800 choices for online birth control.”
