1. Communications from the admin staff prior to the move was inadequate. I had to phone to arrange. 2. The initial consultation was great but lacked follow up. 3. The team packing was brilliant! 4. The price for the electrician was excessive - I was totally mislead by the initial estimate. 5. In discussing the cost for the electrician the member of staff who I spoke to lacked adequate customer service skills by refusing to hear me out. 6. The monthly cost for storage was much higher than I envisaged as I was not given a full quite per month. In conclusion the removal were excellent but admin wise I feel very let down by a poor service.

I will not use Simply again. They have moved me a couple of times. They were fine with a simple, small move where I had done my own packing. But my last move, I asked them to pack. They didn't estimate how long it would take. They turned up late. Took too long and by the time the van was loaded it was 4 hours late - which impacted other people's moves. The moving guys were hard working. Nothing was broken. Spoke to someone at the main office who was rude. Don't use.

Hi Sam, we are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your last removal service and that we have lost your repeat custom. The reason the removal service took longer than we had advised though is that the lift at the collection property was not working on the day, as I am sure you will recall. Removing a 3 bedroom flat from the second floor of a building via stairs obviously takes a great deal longer than that with a working lift. This additional time and work for the removal team was not charged on the day either, as a goodwill gesture for your other successful moves. We are of course pleased that you were happy with our removal team though, and that they moved you successfully without any damaged items. Kind Regards Simply Removals Team

Van was far too small. Removals staff tried to be helpful but some of our furniture was scratched. The service was comparatively cheap but not worth the cost saving.

I had previously moved using simply removals and they were great - this time wasnt great. Movers turned up to pack at 7am - with no boxes. So there was a delay whilst some were driven over. Then there were not enough boxes so we were charged £7.50 per box despite have the issue. Then we were informed the items coming from storage were arriving at 4.30pm, they arrived after 7pm.

The people who conduct the actual move are very good and extremely hard working. They were very careful in moving the furniture, they deserve allot of credit, however I have 2 key issues, 1) When it comes to customer service, Simply removals are very poor, we were made to wait for 3 hours between the first van arriving and the 2nd van arriving to pick up our furniture with no explanation, As you can imagine on a stressful day of a move this is not acceptable we phoned multiple times and were ignored, You might allow this as a bad day, however when we had our furniture was redelivered, we had the same experience, the Furniture was not delivered until 23:00? It is very clear that customers are a very low priority compared to optimising their logistics, When we asked to speak to a manager they were not available, they seemed to be in a permanent meeting? They were not available to call back, we just reached a dead end. 2) When our furniture arrived from storage, there was a sticky residue on our Sofa, there was a deep scratch on our dining table, Under what conditions was our furniture held? I have no idea how our sofa would come back in that condition. In the end, we were just glad to get our furniture back, and I will say again the team who conducted the move were very good and careful, they showed allot of expertise, but the consideration for the customer was very poor by the HQ function, and I would not in good conscious recommend anyone to use this company, We just did not want any further dealings with this company, even to complain to their non existant management or customer service, I think that says all you need to know about our experience.

Disappointed! I rang to book this service and was never offered an 'hourly' rate service which would have suited my needs much better. Instead I was offered a 'package' to move my house which consisted of one lorry run which was not sufficient

Hi Lisa, The quote which we had supplied you with and emailed to you had either a Flat Rate of £250.00 + VAT or an Hourly Rate of £60.00 + VAT per hour with a minimum of 2 hour charge. You then called back 4 months later and booked the Flat Rate. The reason that lorry did not end up being sufficient was due to the additional goods you had which needed to be moved, and you turned down the Hourly Rate offer to move those items. Both pickup and delivery were late. Delivery was over 2 hrs outside of the window because the drives stopped to watch the football and delays getting the items out from there storage facility.

We were made very uncomfortable by the men who were undertaking the work halfway through when they described our asian neighbours as 'dirty' and continued to share their racist views with us. We were unable to say anything to the men about this because they were halfway through moving all of our stuff, a fact I'm ashamed about to this day.
