Went on to liquidation in November 2019, took a deposit from me in December 2019. Fraud. Court order raised. No joy

We booked Simply Removals to move us from Maidstone to Herne Bay at a larger cost than others- we paid it thinking we would get a better service. We booked a large lorry and a luton van with a 4 man team. On the day of removal, a small Luton van showed up with 2 guys 3 hours late. No apologies. They were due at 0800 and racked up at 1105. We were meant to be out by 1230. With no sign of the large lorry anywhere I was speaking to the chaps that had arrived and it became apparent only one spoke English, He said phone head office. We were told by the head office it had been stuck in an accident at the DRC and was 20 mins away. There were no reported accidents on the radio or google and we had also driven that road in the morning as we travelled down from Enfield. They lied, 20 mins went by and still no sign of the large lorry it was now 1145 and the 2 guys in the small van hadn’t even started to pack, as the guy who spoke English stated they were waiting for the other lorry. By 1 pm I had lost it with this company, they stopped answering the phone to me; at 1320 another Luton van arrived and was told that was it, the 4 of them stood around for another 20mins drinking coke and smoking before they even opened the vans. My wife and I were moving all the stuff, beds, sofas, tables etc while waiting for them to get their butts in gear. When asked if they were going to start work as they were now 6 hours late, I just got a look. I paid for a service that was not delivered; I have been in a 2 year battle with the company for my money back plus for them to pay the fine from the buyer’s solicitor of £385 due to not getting out the house until 1730. Kieran promised to get the money back to us, he advised it would be 50% but still waiting for them to do it. My next step is now taking them to court. I would advise anyone wanting to do dealings with them to stay well away. Just because they moved David Cameron they think they are the bee’s knees in removals.

Moved in October 2017, from a tiny 1.5 bed flat (to a 3 bed house). Paid £853. Wish I could give them minus 10. Arrived late. First thing i did was ask most senior dude to validate the quote, which he did reluctantly. Tried to charge me for more boxes than they quoted (either incompetent estimate or deliberate a ploy to hook me onto an impossibly low price which they could then true up using my property as leverage loaded into their van on the day)... I saw that trick coming a mile away and told them to fornicate away, sticking to my guns that i wasn't going to pay a penny more than the estimate. Also tried to charge me for an extra trip... saw it coming a mile away and my answer was identical to the previous response i gave them. Damaged both the flat I was leaving and the house I moved into. Damaged lots of my belongings. Damaged my furniture. Damaged my electrical items. Said they would finish by 3-4pm on day 2 (of a 2-day process for the full packing service)... finished at midnight!!! I ended up giving them an extra 50 tip as the poor lads told me they only made 50 a day! Terribly clumsy in dealing with my belongings and moving around my property. Also, seemed to use the toilet excessively and always left it as if a 4 year had just had an accident. Please avoid. Next time I will not be tempted by the cheapest quote, it is not worth it. All in all a MASSIVE HEADACHE, which is exactly what I was paying to avoid. My recommendation is to avoid like the plague. You have been warned.

Upsetting & stressful experience. The removal men (only two arrived when I paid an extra £150 for three) were abusive & rude to us, crashing our possessions around with no care. They then became very nasty at the end & it turns out they are self employed. They took some bolts from our furniture with them so we cannot put it together. Various possessions also damaged, awful that they have taken our money & run. Be ashamed of yourselves Simply Removals; you have made our start in our new home a bad one.

Spot on felix my stuff went missing and could not get compensation for the damage of other goods saw review in trustpilot and seems more accurate. expensive items are not delivered to new location when you mention this they ignore your complaints

every one is right here so be warned most removal men are roma and are immune from prosecution some kind special privilidge from establishment. The company are run by crooks the spag ball grease types get my drift. please go by personal recommendation by friends

Simply removals didnt turn up, I had to call them to find out what was happening, they never called me to inform me of the delay, they told me there was an issue with the removal lorry, they then sent another lorry, which was over 3 hours late which had people who had already done a job that morning and they complained they were tired and my boxes were too heavy so me and my sister carried the heavy boxes booked a early morning slot as my husband was working in the afternoon which resulted in me having to move on my own, the lack of communication was ridiculous and unprofessional, they said they would call me back, I left it an hour and then called them again, they were also quite rude.

Delicate ornaments were packed unwrapped. Valuable pictures were not protected and one was found days after our move in the outbuilding. Boxes were not labelled and ended up where they landed. Total chaos

would never use again turned up at 6.30pm to move me, i had made several phone calls ended up helping the driver was a mess

We moved from Derbyshire and from Oxford to the Cotswolds the same day. Simply Removals handled both moves. The move from Derbyshire went very well and we appreciated the care and attention the crew of four who handled it showed throughout the move. The move by contrast from Oxford was appalling. The packing was 50% good and 50% incompetent. Because for the poor packing many items including some extremely valuable/rare collectors items were broken and a brand new Nespresso coffee maker was stolen. The move was 10 January. It is now 14 March and Simply Removals have not settled our insurance claim. They have been consistently unresponsive to our claim. They have said that the theft of our new Nespresso machine is not their responsibility - it is a police matter - and is not covered by the insurance we took out with them. We took out extra insurance to be sure we got perfect packing. We have taken up this matter with our lawyers and will pursue it vigorously. There were eight different people employed on the Oxford move - two on the first day and six different ones on the second day. There was obviously conflict between the members of the six. Before the six left, we were given a very unpleasant lecture by the leader of the six. They refused our request to stay for five more minutes while we checked whether everything was in the right place - and left. The crew of four who had handled the move from Derbyshire stayed and made it clear they did not agree or approve of the outburst we got from the leader of the six others. We had prepared generous tips for all of them. With the six walking out, they did not get any tips from us. Instead we gave all the money we had prepared to the crew of four who did such a good job with the move from Derbyshire. We have taken legal advice and are on the point of putting this whole sorry episode in the hands of our lawyers. We will shortly be contacting all the trade association Simply Removals belong to, to report this and put it on record. We relied on the reviews on the trade association web site when we selected Simply Removals. Give the very mixed experience we have had, we could not possibly give a score of higher than Very Poor - sadly.

Simply removals were awful from beginning to end - I felt sorry for the poor removal men as the customer service and organisation were simply terrible. Would not recommend or use again.

Do not use this company. Words cannot express what a disaster they caused. They just threw everything into their boxes, things that I had carefully packed & when I asked them to stop they could not understand what I was talking about, they didn't speak much English & just carried on chucking everything into boxes, all my art materials etc. Messed up, some broken. It was a total nightmare and took me a long time to get over the shock horror, I could go on but I don't want to go there. I just want to try and forget one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Do not use this company.

Quite simply the very very worst company we have very done business with ever, never use these guys ever, they are way way over priced, use polish non experienced workers, broke 15 items and did not want to pay fo them or use their insurance to help us. It took months to get our money back and no refund was offered. If there is 1 company you do not to do business with in the UK its these guys!!!

I have used Simply Removals on a few occasions & appeared okay. On this occasion to say I was disappointed will be an understatement. The sevice was appalling, the interaction with the customer can only be described as despicable and worse is they fleece you by deception. I join others who will never recommend Simply Removal under any circumstances.

Terrible. The team were supposed to arrive the day before our move to pack and load the van, so that we could be away early on the day of completion. I waited around all day, they didn’t turn up till 7pm(kids bedtime) - was told this was too late to load the van. The next day the team arrived with a van that was too small. It took until 2pm to pack the van - then told me it was too small. Driver told this this was “not his problem”. I called head office to find out what could be done. Told me they could put the rest in storage in London - at my own expense. In the end I had to go to enterprise to hire a van and drive from south London to North Yorkshire with the rest of our stuff. This meant my wife had to drive our car - with our 3 week old baby. I was told that because I hadn’t stated every item we had in the loft it was all my fault. I actually provided a inventory done by another company who physically inspected the house to provide a quote!!!! If you had arrived on time the day before like arranged and packed the day before, you would have known the day before the van was too small. No one at the company was going to do anything to help. They could not care less. I had estate agents calling me pressuring me to hand over keys, the guys just left to go to the new house as it was a long drive. Leaving me with a loft full of stuff a new born baby a stressed out wife and 4 year old. Truly horrendous experience.

Rude and slow staff. We paid for the hourly rate and felt they were deliberately slow as a result. Stopping for cigarettes and kept having to ask them to actually do their job. Terrible service and very disappointed.

The removal van was not the size we had booked and paid for, also the van had a brake issue. they were unable to get all of items on board, so had to leave my daughter with left items, we told them they would have to pay for a accommodation for the night as we had no beds to sleep on, they then got a second van and crew finally got to final destination at 10.00PM
