I reluctantly ordered this wifi ceiling fan switch because the advertising said: "not for remote-controlled ceiling fans". My 18-year-old, "remote-controlled" ceiling fan is on a 20 ft ceiling and not easily replaced. With a little experimenting, I wired in the SmaFan switch. The fan now works fine with the switch and the phone application! I can even access all 3 speeds. The only issue I have is that the fan-light only works with the original remote switch ...which I never use the light anyway. The reason I marked it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the instructions for wifi-connectivity were a bit unclear and it took me a while to connect. the switch connected to Bluetooth, though, without a problem. It even now works with Alexa! (For those interested, I discovered I had to have the fan set at full-speed with the original remote before wiring in the new switch.)

Hi Kenneth, Thank you for your detailed feedback! May I know which fan model do you have? We only saw you have purchased the wall switch on our store. Ultimately, as for the fan models in our store, you don't need to have the fan set at full speed before wiring in the new switch. You can give us the model name and we can assist you further. When you pair the switch, follow the steps and you can connect the wifi easily: Step 1-choose"Add manually" and add the smart switch. Step 2-"select 2.4 GHz wifi network in your house".Step 3-kindly wait for a few seconds to scan the devices. Then the switch will be added successfully and you can use and enjoy it! The fan is relatively well designed, looks good, and works as advertised. No issues after a over a year.

The fans we ordered are great looking. We had some issues with the motors making a knocking sound. The company quickly sent us replacement motors that fixed the problem. We are very pleased with these fans.

I like the smart fan. The app controls the speed and lighting. Its a great outdoor fan.

It can be a bit confusing as the fan shows up as SmaFan and Carro Home. You have to be sure to load the correct app to get it to function.

I'm giving you a 4 but wanted you to know that the lamps are perfect. The 4 is for the slow shipping and lack of communication. When I checked with what I thought was your website via an email, it sent me to a company that charges for updates..you have got to be kidding me!!! But, the product was very well packed and I always hesitate with glass but you did a great job protecting it.

The fan is beautiful. Felt a bit cheated by the website because I selected black no light kit and received a white one. Then they were out of stock once I realized my order was wrong. So I just said whatever and kept the white fan because they didn't want to take it back.
