“Our tour guide was excellent!! He did a great job and even found more things we could see if we wanted just because they were available while we were there. The bus was the best and the hotels were great. I could not have been happier. The flights were a different story. Smart tours needs to get your flight information to you sooner so that you can get seats with more leg room or upgrade to a different class. Plus, we were supposed to have a direct flight home but ended up stopping in Amsterdam. They searched everyone with Smart tours before we could get on the plane even though we had already gone through security.”

“Iceland was fabulous and the weather wasn't bad in early April. This was our third trip with SMARTOURS. Overall we were quite satisfied. Two concerns. This was our 43rd wedding anniversary trip, and my wife and I were placed in different parts of the plane on the outgoing flight. Secondly, in the paperwork we received from SMARTOURS, it said you can pay in cash for the extra tours. We were told that was absolutely not correct. No American dollars were accepted. My family and I are going on the Ireland trip this summer with SMARTOURS. We will see if our family of 4 are seated together on the plane or not. If not, it will probably be our last trip with SMARTOURS. SMARTOURS says they have no control over seating. For the price we paid, SMARTOURS should insist they have some say in the seating of its tourists. Other tour company groups on the plane were seated together.”

“This is the second Smartours tour I have been on, I would recommend them to anyone. I would advise people to check carefully the activity level of each trip. There were several people who could not do the planned activities. I find Smartours very organized and well planned. Our tour guide for the cruise portion, Granville Warner was exceptional! He went above and beyond to see that all members were accommodated! He was simply fabulous!”

“Wonderful trip to Turkey in April 2019. Tour guide Mary was the best. Our driver was very professional and safe and kept bus spotless throughout trip. Turkey is a naturally beautiful country, very modern, with a fascinating history. Our hotels were 5 star. One minor complaint—the entire tour was by bus and we spent many hours on it.”

“Smart tours acomplish almos all of my expectations in our tour to China; efficient, effective and trustworthy. We went to all the cities and places as planned. We end up the tour feeling that we really met China, its culture, history and development.”

“The tour was planned nicely but that last minute tours from Dubrovnik was not planned properly as you had on last day planned to go to other neighboring countries when we had to fly to US next early morning which stopped me to go I guess it was an optional tour but still I think you should look into it Also it was difficult for vegetarian travelers as the tour guide did not make an extra effort to see if there was vegetarian food available for me Yes I managed myself”

“The tour guide was knowledgeable. He was also helpful to us on trivial matters like getting batteries etc. The bus driver was great and made us feel safe. Some local guides were good and others not so good. I would suggest that use college students as local guides.”

“1 guide with 40 travelers was unacceptable. Tour guide tried but just couldn’t handle so many people. Welcome dinner was 4 or 5 nights into tour...too late. Introductions were done while traveling on the bus so you couldn’t see who was speaking. Total waste of time. Tokyo, Kanazawa hotels were ok, others were less than expected. SmarTour was highly recommended. I was very disappointed!!”
