Bought Smeg dishwasher. DISD 12. It lasted 5years and now I am told it needs a new program board. My previous Bosch lasted 20+ years. Tried to contact Smeg to express my disappointment and was passed from one Q to another with no response. I would not recommend SMEG to anyone as their customer service is non existant.

I bought a Fridge and Freezer in May 2018, happy to pay extra thinking I was buying a reliable product and I would be ok for a good 10 years (in theory). My fridge is now a freezer, so I thought contact SMEG and ask about possible cause and fix. They sent me a link to a back street shop whos reviews are even worse than what I am reading here. I wrote back to the service dept and asked if thisis an approved SMEG technicial and no response still. I cannot find a contact for complaints and to be honest it seems SMEG does not care. I will never buy or recommen this make to anyone

Yes I had trouble with my cooker The man came charged me ‘$165 dollars and said I would need so many parts I could buy a new cooker I wish I had brought a new cooker and I could have put $165 with the new cooker I felt so upset because when the man came I felt he was going to fix it Than when he charged me $165 dollars for just telling me I need new parts Very upset 🙏

Bought a Smeg toaster, not cheap, first both inside stopped working, so it only toasted on one side of your food, which i researched is a common fault and now we cannot use it at all unless we hold the lever down continually throughout toasting. Never again will i buy Smeg

I ordered a smeg milk frother on 11 December 2020 the colour was not the one my daughter wanted. I have been trying since them to get my money back (149.95) the item has been returned to smeg as yet I’m still waiting for my money I have sent so many emails which they do not reply to. Customer services are disgusting a. If you get Jessica sort It out well god help you she’s is the most incompetent person I have ever had to deal with., never replies to calls or emails tells lies all the time. Fails to read your emails and reply to them how the hell this person keeps her job is beyond me, she definitely needs training in customer services. I just hope eventually I get my refund, it is now 2 months and still nothing. Wish me luck.

Don't expect customer service from SMEG's parts and service department. Have sent daily emails (confirmed email address by SMEG with a name) regarding tap replacement parts. I've rang the help line number over a number of days, when you are in the queue for over 30 mins it cuts you off. Really poor, they clearly expect expensive items to be throw away. AVOID, tap only just out of warranty and their advisors can't respond to specific questions about replacement cartridges. I'd score zero if I could.

I would have given 0 stars if that was an option. I bought a microwave, an oven , a second oven and a warming drawer - the microwave door smashed when it closed after about 3 months and then the interior glass of the main oven shattered when running the self clean function. Fortunately I was in otherwise it could have started a fire. I will never purchase a Smeg product again, they are truly awful and in my experience they are dangerous. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Delivered 29/10/20 Installed 10/12/20. Oven kept cutting out after 15 minutes after the same period you could restart for..... another 15 minutes. Chrustmas day sat in the kitchen from 6a.m.until 10a.m. To cook our turkey, bacon on the top cremated on a 'supposed' temperature of 175. Following day it would not work at all. Top oven would not work either. 2/01/2021 grill light stayed on for 2 seconds , grill does not work. Called vendor to arrange 'repair'. 5/01/2021 service engineer took the back off the cooker and found loose connections , two defective thermostats and one defective switch needed to enable functionality if the appliance. He said it would take a week to obtain parts from Italy. Called the vendor and explained the situation and that the appliance is not fit for purpose, as such I want it removed with a view to replacing it with another brand. Do yourself a favour do NOT by Smeg!

The microwave oven door has a big rust patch. I sent photographs of our 2 year 4 month old oven along with proof of purchase and details of how I clean it and been told not their problem to sort it out. I had one microwave oven for fifteen years and never had anything like this. Neither of my ovens cook evenly either, I have to turn biscuit trays round to ensure all cooked. I like the look of SMEG products but will never purchase again. Was dubious reading reviews before bought so should have avoided then. Took out insurance but they don’t cover rust...wonder why, maybe because common problem with SMEG

Unfortunately cannot review with less than one star! Built in double oven is so overly complicated that my mum in law can't even use it, coupled with that the oven glass blew up trapping the door with broken glass so we could not even open it to clear the glass without much prying and damage. Built in microwave regularly does not respond to the open door touch panel thereby trapping food or denying access. Never again and I wish I hade never bought these but bought alternatives.

We have the victoria cooker and hood from smeg. One of the knobs fell off the hood and cracked the glass of the induction hood. The appliances are both less than a year old. Smeg refuses to honour the warranty. At first, they said it was impossible and basically accused me of lying and then they said it was just cosmetic so no covered. This took months of communication to come to as they are so unresponsive to emails. Do NOT buy their products they are double the price of any others with no customer service, they don't even honour their legal obligations. I will be taking them to small claims court.

Bought a Smeg kettle and the plastic rocker switch has cracked, it must be a couple of pounds worth. Smeg won’t supply one, not can’t supply, just WONT!!! The company are so arrogant and pompous typical Italian rubbish, looks wonderful (apart from the cheap and nasty stick on letters) but cheap as chips. When you take it apart it’s as good as any £20 kettle you buy you’re just paying a premium for those nasty little SMEG gold stick on letters!!

Bought a brand new range oven in November - in plenty of time to host Xmas dinner this year. One of the ovens broke 2 weeks later after using it twice. It is now 23rd December, we have had an engineer out twice already and we are STILL waiting for them to come and fix it. They are supposed to be coming Xmas eve morning- but as soon as Xmas is over they can come and collect it, refund me plus compensation for the times we have had to come home from work to wait For the engineer to not be able to fix it. An absolute shambolic disgrace and SMEG should be ashamed. A brand new £1300 oven should not brake and need parts. Nor should it take 3 failed attempts and almost a month to fix. ( which hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow so we can at least cook Xmas dinner) would not recommend to anyone.

Bought a retro SMEG toaster 6 months ago and it set on fire in the kitchen and blew the electrics. After the appliance was checked out it appears the elements are badly designed and touch, which caused the fire. SMEG make it difficult to make a complaint and aren’t interested that this is a design fault and continue selling these SMEG toasters regardless. DO NOT BUY a SMEG toaster. They are a rubbish and DANGEROUS.

spent a lot of money on a smeg kettle because I loved the design. Unfortunately the smeg logo is just stickers and when it gets hot, they peel off!it now looks terrible. I contacted customer service and they said they'd send me some new letters for me to stick on!I hope I get the spacing and position right!don't think you should have to do this, very poor design.

Bought a SMEG dishwasher DFD613W in 2015- It is now 2019 and it has a massive crack on the front panel. It was installed correctly and has not been moved or mishandled. You can only open the unit from the specific catch and still this has happened it looks like a stress fracture where the front is incorrectly supported from the inside, Cost of replacement parts plus labour is half the way to a new unit so will probably cut my losses and replace entirely as I have never felt this cleans particularly well. Last time i will buy SMEG as contacting them is not the easiest.
