I’ve been trying for months to get my account closed. I’ve tried being nice - doesn’t work. They were suspended from taking in new customers by the energy industry omnibus because of very poor dismal reviews. They send me threatening text messages every month even though I call them and tell them I’m waiting for them to correct an issue with one of their own unregistered smart meters (their fault which they admit). I’m sorry I ever chose this terribly run company.

Doesn't even deserve one star. Won't return the credit on my account since June this year when I transferred to another energy company. I have sent numerous emails and complaints and simply received at automated response

I have been waiting months for a refund of £840. 06. I have spoken numerous times with customer services who said they will escalate my complaint, I have spoke to Leona Marcus customer relations who informed me that my refund has been with their finance department for 5 weeks waiting to be processed, I have spoke to Mia Patience ( a very condescending unhelpful character) Customer relations manager, who informed me my refund is with finance but cant do anything about it and so referred me to Ross Mitchel Customer Services Director who is unobtainable by phone and does not answer emails. In short this company is withholding money not belonging to them and will delay you at every opportunity. I have recorded on my phone all telephone conversations, and kept every email. I am now forced to take legal action against them to claim back what is by law mine. Disgusting company to deal with, avoid at all costs.

A true scheme to overcharge customers. Very dishonest approach. They try to overcharge you no matter what. I changed my energy supplier from Solarplicity to Eon. Solarplicity didn't respect the formalities of the transition process, ignored the meter readings Eon sent to them, sent me a bill displaying a random figure that did not reflect reality, kept sending threatening messages to me, whilst gradually increasing the amount they wanted to overcharge me, without any explanation or rectified bill. They ignored all of my clarifications and e-mails and even their CEO publicly acknowledged online how bad their customer service is: https://solarplicity.com/to-our-customers-an-apology

I am waiting for £600 refund. Reticulations have been delayed. I might not see my money back. The last month waiting for them has been a complete emotional nightmare.

I changed to another supplier in December 2018. This supplier has shown me the communication they made regarding my final readings. The Energy Ombudsman accepts these. It is August and Solarplicity are still maintaining they have not received the electricity reading. They have also sent me various different bills without acknowledging that I inadvertently carried on paying monthly for two months afterwards. They have consistently neglected to send me a thorough run-down of payments made by me and energy consumed! They also seem to think i am still with them! Today, I received a letter thanking me for being with them!!?

AVOID - see other comments Do not open a new contract with them. If you have one, leave as soon as you can without incurring a penalty, try and avoid having a credit balance with them and if you do, complain to them as soon as you can so you can wait the required 8 weeks to make an Ombudsman claim. Then hope they don't don't go bust in the meantime. OFGEM should close them down.

I am a solar generator, supplying energy to Solarplicity under the Government / Ofgem backed Feed in Tariff Scheme (FIT). I have not been paid this year for any generation ! Communication with there Ware and Rickmansworth office (email and telephone) is impossible, and the so called "Customer Service" department in South Africa has got to be tried in person, as nobody would believe in the 21st century how bad it can be. Look on the Ofgem website under "investigations" - makes interesting reading.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company are ridiculous. Trouble started when I needed to call them to ask a question about my bill; first of all, ringing is useless as the phone-line is absolutely awful and you can barely hear them. The operators working customer service are snotty, rude, and unhelpful. I was informed that they couldn't help me with my bill because "they had no record of my account" (?!) despite the fact they had been taking money by direct debit for nine months, sending me post, etc. I had given them all my details when I signed up to the service, so this is clearly an issue on their end. The last couple of times I have rang up to try and get through to someone about this, it's like speaking with a Little Britain character ("Computer says no"). They then put you on hold and promptly hang up on you. This has happened twice now, so calling is useless. They are just as bad to contact by email; they sent a message claiming my issue had been "passed on to someone higher up" to deal with - that was back in April and I haven't heard anything back since. I sent a complaint email over a month ago that was never even acknowledged, let alone replied to. In the end I decided to cancel my direct debit with them to see if that would encourage them to get in touch with me; lo and behold as if by magic, suddenly they sent me a message to let me know I had cancelled my direct debit and would I like to set it back up again? I replied by suggesting they actually read my complaint email, and instead they sent a short message back telling me it had been read, and that I was no longer a customer of theirs, as I had been transferred to Toto Energy... I contacted Toto Energy who told me they had NO record of me being transferred over to them and as far as they could tell, I was still a Solarplicity customer. Absolutely absurd, and glad to hear I am not alone in having to deal with this utterly stupid company.

In all my seventy years this must be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Avoid at all costs - they will not answer the phone or respond to emails. Having sent a recorded delivery to their CEO on 3rd April 2019(no reply) followed by one on 28th May 2019 and an email on 26th June 2019 I finally heard from their CEO Complaints(says it all really) on 5th July 2019. This has taken over a year to resolve.

This is a shambolic company. Totally disorganized . I tried to change to another supplier at the end of the contract for gas and electric which they blocked saying we owed money . We actually had a credit of £492 which we are fighting to get back. I am annoyed with comparethe market.com for having them on their comparison website.

Its all been said before, they are CROOKS They will take money out of your account without authorisation, do not give them a direct debit mandate, it will be at your peril. SOLARPLICITY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. They should be closed down, the UK should be embarrassed to give them a licence to operate. I would give them a negative star if possible.

Solarplicty are crooks. Avoid like the plague. They took 6 months to issue a final bill after we switches suppliers, finally issuing an incorrect bill with over £400 of charges with a bill that was back-dated 6 weeks before we received it, swiftly followed up by threatening emails saying they will refer our case to a debt-collector if not paid within 7 days. This is not a mistake, it's a deliberate tactic. They do not respond to emails, and their call centre is a joke – the operatives know nothing and blatantly lie, promising they have taken action 'that email is coming to you now' when they do nothing. The online portal of the website has stopped working and I have been unable to gain access for the last 4 months to verify previous meter readings.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Do not go with them. Nothing has gone right from beginning to end. We are now trying to get credit owed to us from them total of £82. We swapped beginning of June, they then took another direct debit payment end of June, I then cancelled our direct debit which I'm now glad I did otherwise they would have still been taking it. Total rubbish. If I could have given less than 1 star I would.
