I've always used Southwest for domestic travel 1!-2 times a year. They charged me $250, to change my name on my ticket. When tried to call a manager, I was on hold for 20 min. I had to hang up before I spoke with anyone. Then they ruined my luggage. For $250 they lost all my future flights, my husband and daughters future flights. More and more a becoming very dissatisfied with Southwest. I canceled my card.

There is no reason to be loyal to sw airlines. They are no different than frontier and spirit. They are now charging for bags. My bag was 4 lbs. over and they told me it would be an extra $300 or I could buy a Southwest Airlines duffle bag for $25 and put 4lbs in it so it can go on the same plane as my bag. Even though the flight was bumpy going up they did not do a beverage service and we could not use the restroom. Flight was smooth except for first 10 minutes. SW was my go to. Not anymore I will just see who charges less for bags etc.

My bag got damaged , I called to find out what was needed to file a claim. I was told I have to go back to the airport to file, and it has to be within 24 hours. This is crazy, because I have to pay to park to go file a claim!!!

SW ruined my short get away to Aruba. The check-in in Atlanta airport was chaotic and understaffed and the one man they had working was incompetent. He had no clue what he was doing. They had to full to capacity flights leaving and only one person working the gate. He could not figure out how to print my boarding pass. By the time the supervisor comes over to help him the flight is gone. She was unapologetic and rude to me. I was there 3 hours before my flight and was prepared and it really sucks when you think the people that should know how to do their jobs dont. I was offered a free meal and then the lady came back and said she couldn't even offer that. The supervisor rebooked my flight for the following morning. So getting up at 3am to get to the airport by 4:30am to get to the terminal by 5:00am for a 7:20am flight was a big waste of time when the gate check-in is incompetent.

Sooo.....here we sit. Been boarded for over an hour now and still waiting. Pilot says we're waiting on paperwork to be signed off before we can depart. Connector cannot be made now. Horrible start to short weekend trying to visit terminal family. This has now cost me a full day of time with my loved one. Extra money spent for priority boarding was a complete waste of money. No offer of water, and hot in here. Thanks Southwest

Flight WN4677 on 6/28/2025 from Orlando to Indianapolis. My initial gate was 122 position B 29. They moved the gate to 106 B 59 but I didn't notice. I presumed only the gate has changed until I got to the gate and the lady sent me back. I tried explaining but she was so rude. I have flown Southwest for years and never been so ridiculed.

Last 2 times I flew with them. They have delayed my flights pretty bad. Ruin your plans. I wouldn't recommend them stay away from southwest airlines. The people at the desk are very well trained to give you the go around.

I missed our flight, my husband is handicapped and in a wheelchair. The airline refused to even offer a partial credit of any sort to even book another flight home. Just took the 1200 dollars as if it was $2.00 I have never flown before and this will be my first and last time flying southwest. Don’t book this unless you have 100% control over nothing happening

I was sat in the back of the plane which isn't a big deal. Boarding was almost complete when the last passenger came aboard. The only seat open was in the middle seat to my left. This person was on the big side and after they sat down the armrest couldn't go down and this person took up 30% of my seat. Because of the flight being full I had no choice but to sit sideways for 2.5 hours as this person shared my seat. There should be a policy if you can't fit in a standard seat, you should have to pay for two. If there are no extra seats available then that flight isn't for then. I have seen people asked to leave the plan for petty reasons or because they were pick because the flight attendant. This has happen on many flights for me. I feel if I paid hundreds of dollars for my seat, I should be able to use 100% of my seat. I know some people might find this insensitive, but you wouldn't want to pay to go watch a movie at a theater and have to share your seat. I think there should be changes made to make sure everyone is comfortable in the seat that they paid for.

I flew on 4 southwest flights on my trip. Everyone of them was delayed. If they can’t get you where you need to be on time they are probably in the wrong business. I won’t fly this airlines anymore, I would rather pay a little more and get where I’m going.

Southwest checkin agents on the floor by kiosk machines are so rude. They yell and threaten you on your baggage tags. I traveled in May and June going from San Diego to Las Vegas. Both times going and coming it occurred. I'm normally not a complainer but my experience has been awful. They need to have better friendly and customer service like they use to have. I had a good experience on the flight so it has impacted all areas of customer service. Checkin customer service needs to change for me to continue to fly with southwest.

I will no longer fly with y'all because of your new fee on bags and their is a weight limit their are other airlines that have better deals. Y'all were my only airline but y'all have forced me to fly with another Airline now. It's ashame I really liked flying with y'all but all good things must come to a end.

Terrible customer service, you don't get assigned seats you just have to pick whatever is left, flight attendants were super rude and degrading. If you are thinking of flying with them I advice you not to.

I am literally sitting on the plane watching one baggage handler take his ever loving sweet time to load bags. WE ARE ALREADY DELAYED 10 MINUTES WHY IS THIS BEING DONE NOW???!! UNACCEPTABLE, NO APOLOGIES IM NOT FLYING SW AGAIN.

They were bought by an equity group last year and that group has stripped every resource for them and trimmed them down so much that their operational stuff is a disaster now. They are never on time. Not worth the small amount of savings. I would avoid.

--- Southwest Rapid Rewards Review: Extremely Disappointing Southwest Rapid Rewards has been the worst experience I've had with an airline loyalty program. I had over 130,000 flight miles stolen from my account, and when I called to inquire, no one had any answers. To make matters worse, I was locked out of my account and told I'd have to wait 10 to 13 days just to regain access—without any assurance or urgency. The lack of support and accountability is shocking. I expected better from a major airline. Customer service operator was rude and didn't want to try to help find any kind of solution or help in any way

Negative stars! I had 4 flights for my family to get home extremely late. I saw that they had a different one that worked to get us home earlier so I changed to that one for $575. After getting to the airport, our new flight was delayed and now we will miss our connecting flight home. They now have us on the original flight home because it's the only one and they won't refund me my 575 dollars that I paid when I changed my flight. The lady at the kiosk was extremely rude, Joelene was her name. She had no empathy and refused to take care of me after I called her on her rudeness. She literally moved on to other customers and ignored me from there. Delays happen, I get it but putting me back on my original flight home and keeping my 575 is a scam of all scams!!! Don't use this garbage airline

The CEO lost site of customer service and I hate when a business keeps repeating the same response... The CEO keeps saying "We don’t take making changes to our policies lightly, and these decisions were made with careful consideration. Nevertheless, we hear you and understand you’re disappointed," which really pisses the hell out of me. Plus the CEO says the think the open seating is what we want.... I think this guy has it backwards... No open seating and free bags is what we want.... They lost another customer...

Booked Southwest Airlines tickets via Fareoyard. After having read numerous negative reviews of Fareoyard and becoming aware of sketchy terms and conditions, in accordance with Fareoyard and my state's online purchase terms, I cancelled the purchase. Fareoyard provided my financial information to Southwest Airlines and Sourhwest Airlines has made several attempts to collect the funds from a legally cancelled purchase.
