Had no reason to contact Swinton fortunately no claim made. I purchased insurance online and requested documents to be sent to me. Never arrived so had to go in office and get them myself. Having said that, I will renew with them again this year if price is right.

Customer service was rubbish. The policy was easy to sign up to but Swinton make it almost impossible to leave then once the documents are signed. There are a lot of hidden clause in the fine print so please read carefully before buying the policy. When I sold my car and tried to cancel the policy was told I needed to pay all the cost of the insurance even if I don't have the car. Swinton refused to give me my no claims bonus so I was forced to continue the policy with them. They don't explain things clearly and I would not recommend them.

i brought a different car swinton do not insure 2 cars.so took up insurance with another company.i then sold my car and cancelled insurance with swinton.had payed the year up front.the insurance lasted 5months i got nothing back and they actually said i owe them 94pence.i will never take insurance out with them again.

I would not use Swinton again, they are the only insurance company that don't let you pick a certain date to pay your insurance on, you have to pay on the dates they use only and if your payment dosnt go out, they charge you £25!!! My insurance payments have gone up by £40 per month through them charging me. It's disgusting!!! I would not recommend them at all.

A very good and excellent service so easy to buy a policy and a very competitive price not much more to say they do exactly what it says on the tin good full cover @ a very good price would recommend to anyone.

I took out my Motor Insurance policy through Swinton Central Online. I have several times written to them with urgent queries relating to NCB but they never reply. I have phoned them, got told they are too busy to talk to me, they will phone me back - they never did. Appalling! Luckily a friend told me there are Swintons Branches where there are real physical people who answer the phone. I have since dealt with branches and they have been excellent. DO NOT take out your Swintons policy through Online or Central is my advice, look up a Swintons local branch and phone them instead.

My advice is not to take any insurance policy's with Swinton insurance. The staff have really bad attitudes on the telephone . If I were to give them a rating of 1 to 10 it would be minus 10.

twice I tried to claim against the \home \emergency cover which was part of the policy purchased and on both occasions they were quick to find reasons why it couldn.t be covered on one occasion our boiler was making an extremely loud noise which was not right so I turned the system off .Because I had done this they said it was not an emergency and they would only cover if the boiler stopped working by its own accords. A load of rubbish. The home emergency cover is not worth the paper its written on.
