“Greedy and unprofessional overall.
The company was doing fine like five years ago and it has been going downhill since Covid-19 started.
Expensive as hell, dodgy prices and terrible choices and now they are milking the customers by having them pay for service fees on top of delivery fees.
The customer service is terrible too, the in-store credit is practically unusable unless you have a credit card, no choice for a cash only transaction.”
“What i went through with talabat in the past 5 months - around 20 cases and none of them resolvedš
1. Sexual harassment from delivery men, who tried to enter my house - twice.
2. Sending spoiled products, and when i ask for exchange or refund, it is being refused or simply ignored - many times, like every second order has wrong or spĀoiled items. Customer support promises to fix it but in reality i end up keeping and throwing the spoiled items.
3. Packaging - they send me items for food & cleaning in the same bag. Cheese, eggs & fruits in plastic bag with Clorox or washĀing gel or fish, then all the items smell or get spoiled becĀause of broken or leĀaking bottles. Aren't there quality control for such services?
4. They ignore all the complains, when i reach out, never compensate or exchanĀge the items. It's super hard to communicate with the customer suĀpport because they are incapable of resoĀlving, and they have to create case. I have reached few times to the management team for customer support and it even worse - either they just reject the idea of something going wrong or they promise to resolve it and then never get back. Last my order i have reached to them repeatedly because all my order was spoiled with Clorox on food, it was the same response - we are here to serve you and will fix this, never it was fixed.
5. When speaking on the phone with the management team of customer support, they act really weird, close the phone when hear me speak English and don't call back, once i begin to explain what happens they speak in the same time with me to express their ideas - interrupting disrespectfully or they act carelessly saying that it's their policy to take 10days to review the complain (about exchange of expired items! How is that?)
6. The items in some of restaurants have higher price in taĀlabat - doubled. When i spoke of it to the lady from maĀnagement team, she refused that such thiĀng exists without even checking it, she refused to check it even š³ and it was never changed, so i had to make order from the restaurant with double less pricĀes than written on talabat.
7. Delays in delivery, wrong estimated time and so on - these are minor issues whiĀch happening daily.
Many of these things are illegal, how such company is still existing? I feel super frustrated...
Is there any other similar app that i could use instead of talabat for quick market delivery?”
“Very bad experience. A discount was announced for an order with a specific Credit card I had. Although it was mentioned also on the page while I was ordering, the discount didn't take place, nor reimbursement despite 2 chats and reminders!!!
I do not recommend this website. They're not serious!”
“Very bad service. Getting worse day by day. I ordered food and one item missing + no bill was provided to me and also bank offer not applicable talabat. What the hell is this. I am deleting talabat and Zomato both and shifting to noon delivery. This was my last order with Talabat/Zomato”
“I ordered at around 12:50 and then it took like more than 2hrs to deliver the food ! What the heck , is it coming from Abudhabi or something š³ . I have spoken to the driver and asked why it tooked so long to deliver it but he couldnāt understand that much of English šµāš« . “Im a regular customer of Talabat/Zomato I had a very bad service with *Talabat grocery* driver Ali mobile no 056***6234 - case number 188041905 who clearly had problem reading location went and delivered to landmark building and left grocery infront of wrong apartment/building door.
When I called the driver to clarify we have not received the order and explaining him the location instead of delivering again to correct location he replied āI cannot and I donāt have time now, if I receive any order in that area again I will deliver to you.ā such kind of driver with such attitude and the way of response shows talabat substantial services along with combination with poor chat operator (Junaid ) all along he responded āI have escalated your complaintā but when I asked him for complaint number he responded āthere is no such thing has complaint number in their systemā, thinking Im a women and he can fool me , I had to force him to give me my case number (Talabat management can go thru his chat conversation) and telephone conversation of Ali to understand how professional your staff are , in the end I asked for refund and when I receive refund email it stated āunable to reach you after several attempts and your order 741628972 is cancelled ā this shows how poor the service level is and how Talabat works.”
“I had a problem with my bank in Dubai that I order from talabat and they claim the money from each order twice from my debit card !!! And wen I made my complain they confirming to me that they didnāt do it and claim my money twice in each order even I submitted the bank statement that is the biggest prove to there eyes and they still denying that itās cheating and steeling how come what they think me or the Bank are making a storyās !!! Thatās so bad he careful on your money everyone itās not safe to deal with this people !!!”
“Bad experience more than one time. Order couldn't be delivered in 2 hours. Took more than 10 minutes to get connected to Chat and Cancel order. No way to find out where the order is and how long will it take. Very poor delivery service.”
“They gave a low class an poorest device ever! There is no telephone no clear email address no one responsible there! They blocked my account with 250 AED in it? (Credit for refund) and many points in it after follow up for 2 months finally they said saying your account being hacked! If acc is hacked you should inform me and if it's hacked it shows how untrustworthy is your application ā¦but even when I sent many emails and calling you keep ignoring me ā¦. Finally after 2 months they contacted me recently asking me open new account to put my money an points there. I created new account but they said we are not able to transfer it please place some order then we can add it! What do you call this?! If I was not following up with you you would never call me to refund my money now after months contacting you asking me to place some order if I want to get money and points back!”
“The delivery guy from a grocery is faster than yoursā¦. totally not good to use your service I not ever ever totally good. you have the poorest service ever always late and not allow for any refundsā¦”
“It was not the first time facing problems with this app, but this time my patience has run out! I ordered 2 juices and 2 Manoushe which usually takes about 30minutes to deliver, the app was showing 45 minutes delivery time. After 2 hours and half of waiting, I tried contacting the restaurant, the number on talabat was wrong, then I tried contacting talabat on the helpchat, they made me wait for 30minutes until I was connected to someone to assist me, then after a long conversation they told me that my order is cancelled due to a technical issue, and they told me that my money will be given back to me as a talabat credit or voucher only with compensation of 10 dirhams lol 2 hours and half waiting for my order to ended up without my food and not even sending my money back to my card!!! Many times I received food late and cold, 2 times I had my order delivered to another address, and one time someone took my food from the talabat driver and they told me driver made a mistake! Lol but this time was the end of it. I made a complaint to dubai Consumer service center, and I've deleted this app. I'd rather pay extra than have this unprofessional service handling my food, I highly not recommend it, better call the restaurant directly. “The Worst Food Delivery company ever,
Very Expensive and Rude behavior from most of the employee specailly the Riders as I had so many bad situations happened when I order food and of course it will be delayed but, In addition to that you will not ba able to expedite your delivery, you cannot contact the rider as he either ignore your call or giving you any lie such as ( 5 minutes sir, the restaurant took long time preparing your food, all the building here are similar so which one is yours ? etc...) they will find a way to justify their very low level of customer service and above all, You will get a cold meal !!!
Why should anyone will order from a company serving its customers this way ?”
“The worst experience Iāve ever had. The delivery was very late and when I called their customer representative he was not able to address the issue and was poorly executed. I donāt recommend this delivery app. They donāt value your time as a customer.”
“we ordered from 11 am and scheduled it to be delivered at 1 pm. quarter to 2 and we still haven't got the order, no update no nothing so we called the restaurant. Restaurant said pizza has been sitting for 2 hours waiting for a rider but no one has been assigned to it. Their reason was there was no driver suitable for our big order which were 5 boxes of pizza! Seriously?? Only after we called the restaurant that someone from talabat contacted us. They only called once within the 3 hour time frame. For more than 2 hours there was no available near the area. With the 2 hour time span they did nothing to solve the issue. They has the audacity to tell us "we apologize for the SLIGHT DELAY, we will compensate you with 8 dhs." Ridiculous! The restaurant had to book for careem to have our order delivered.”
“My food was very delayed. It took the rider almost 90 minutes to deliver my food. He did not reply to my calls when I called him. He delivered the food & did not wear his mask properly. The mask was extremely dirty. He was very rude & unapologetic. I will follow up with this issue further with the authorities.”
