WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My recent experience with Talabat has been extremely disappointing. After a delayed order (over 1.5 hours for an order placed at 9 PM), I contacted support and requested escalation. Around half an hour later, I received a call from the “complaints department,” but it felt very scripted — the responses were repeated and no resolution was offered. I was told that “management” would call me. At 2 AM, my phone started ringing continuously until I picked up. The calls were presented as “management,” but the interaction felt no different from the earlier call center. What was most concerning was the timing — being contacted in the middle of the night, repeatedly, without any consideration for customer convenience. When I raised that this was highly inappropriate, the conversation simply continued as if nothing had been said. As of the next day, there has been no resolution or meaningful follow-up. This raises real concerns about customer service standards and whether proper policies are in place to handle escalations. I share this feedback so that people are aware of what they may experience with Talabat, as the company has not taken responsibility for resolving such inappropriate practices.

I had an issue on June 13th when a restaurant through DineOut charged me twice, and more than AED 100 was deducted from my account. Since then, I have called Talabat support four or five times requesting that the money be credited to my Talabat wallet. Every time I speak to an agent, I’m told “OK, give us 30 minutes and we’ll solve it.” Afterwards, I keep receiving requests to leave a five-star review, but my issue has still not been resolved until today. This situation is very frustrating and embarrassing. I am not happy at all with how this has been handled.

I am very disappointed in Talabat and Grandex Supermarket. I ordered for Rice Krispies and Milk on the 20th of August. Which was in the night around 11pm, I received the order and kept it without using. To my surprise my son asked me to open the pack yesterday because he wants to take it upon opening the pack I found life insects inside the rice krispies and inside the box as well. What if I asked my son to open it himself as a child he may not have noticed. I've complained to talabat and reported the issue and I need a refund. But no response from both party's this is highly unacceptable and disheartening. I am here on holiday and getting this common do something with a prompt response fix your app please that's why I like instashop they would have resolved this matter since. How i wish the app will allow me upload the pictures even this browser is telling me to contact customer support which isnt working. I have proof and evidence with pictures. Not just one picture

warning to all customers On 11 August, I placed an order (Order ID: 3092069510) with Talabat which arrived late at night around 11:00 PM. The delivery driver claimed he had no change for my payment of 500 AED. He was supposed to take 60 AED and return 440 AED. Instead, he took the money and ran away, never coming back. I have CCTV footage showing him taking the money and leaving. Since that night, I have contacted Talabat repeatedly—via chat, phone calls, and even requesting to speak to a manager. Every single time, I get the same empty promises: “We will escalate this and get back to you in 24 hours.” It’s now been days, and nothing has been resolved. The so-called “manager” promised to call within 60 minutes yesterday—never happened. When I asked for the driver’s ID so I could report this theft to the Dubai Police, Talabat refused to provide it. This makes me question whether they are hiring outsourced or even illegal workers without proper visas, which is why they can’t (or won’t) locate him. I am a PRO member paying a monthly subscription fee, and a regular loyal customer. This is how they treat their paying members—by protecting a thief instead of protecting their customers. Talabat, you have lost my trust forever. If you cannot guarantee the honesty of your drivers, the safety of your customers’ money, or even the basic courtesy of following up on a theft complaint, you should not be in business.

As a business partner, working with Talabat has been an incredibly frustrating and one-sided experience. It’s clear that their sole priority is squeezing out as much revenue as possible, even if it means walking all over the partners who actually deliver the service. They listen exclusively to customers, no matter how unreasonable the complaint may be, while completely ignoring the vendors. It’s obvious that their support team is instructed to ignore the partners – every conversation feels like talking to a wall. You raise legitimate concerns or flag issues caused by their own system or delivery staff, and you're still the one penalized. There is zero accountability, no real communication, and certainly no respect. Talabat doesn’t build partnerships – it exploits them. If you're a business thinking of joining the platform, don't. Unless you're ready to be treated like a disposable cog in their money-making machine.

Most 50% offers are fake, original prices are doubled. Hard to reach live customer service some discounts are not really applied, some item price discounts are not active at all

I ordered a contour stick received a highlighter and I wanted to exchange they said I can’t reach to them so I will send a courier to pick it up he came and took it and now for 4 says I didn’t get my money back case is opened on the app and not yet resolved and no one is even replying very miserable experience

Talabat delivered me wrong item from pharmacy, after returning they told me in 30 min I will get refund. But didn’t refund me anything after many calls and many days. They just reply the same statement phrase of apologizing and to wait.

Very poor service. Riders deliver order in 40 minutes even your house is closer. Wrong items bring and never comes back for replacement. Even corporate team calls you to know what is an issue but they don't have capacity to resolve the issue. and closed my complaint unresolved. I want my money back Will never order grocery via talabat . for grocery delivery insta service is better.

Drivers are a safety hazard - I have had several accidents with them because the drivers are unskilled, detracted or on their phones. Customer service is fairly useless.

Talabat is the worst app ever . Driver always press delivered before delivering the order. I had an issue with damaged item I spoke to 6 agents and they just added 15 aed compensation voucher whereas the item was for 200 aed. They don’t relive any issue. Don’t use this app

less than a star.. they never take responsibility Talabat support staff are prisoners to a rigid process. it is well known that Talabat are responsible of any mistake happens (like a totally wrong order) !! yet they fail to comply to this responsibility, and the sad part is that they take customers light!! sad, but true. If you oray for rain you got to deal with the mud, and Talabat is failing to fulfil customers rights. I have been going back and forth for more than 24 hours now with their complaints team which is a total failure.

The recruitment of cheap incompetent labor has lead to failure in providing quality services, this includes riders who ring the bell late at night with no common sense or training that they would be disturbing an entire household for a single order even with delivery instructions. This is a continuous issue, which has lead to deleting the app after 7 years. A major decline and failure in quality of service.
