Having placed an order for some Lightwaverf home automation equipment I received an email from The Smartshop acknowledging my order and payment but have heard nothing since. I have received no confirmation of despatch, no indication as to delivery date and there is no facility to track the progress of an order on their website. Rather disappointing. Could have walked into PC World and bought similar kit by Samsung or Swann over the counter. Argos even offer same day delivery online!

Good afternoon Mr Benson, Many thanks for your comments. Apologies for the delay with getting these items to you. Due to the Christmas period and the bank holidays orders have incurred delays. The team have worked around the clock this week to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. I have checked the details of this order and it has been dispatched with Royal Mail. I placed an order on Christmas day and never saw any mention of the place being closed all over the Christmas period. so item not dispatched till Monday 4th january. emailed to ask when it would arrive they mentioned delay in posting but omitted to say again that they were closed over the whole christmas period. if I'd of known I would of cancelled the order and paid more locally. it was only a phone call today that prompted them to say they were closed. I had numorous e-mail flyers. telling me about a 10% sale on selected product ending 28-Dec-15. It was hard to find what was in the sale. There was no indication whether the item I was intereted was in the sale. Tried to phone. There was a message stating the office was cloesed until 4-Jan. I boight the item on the 28-Dec-2015 it the 6-Jan and I still haven't received it

I am extremely impressed with the quality of service from this team and look forward to buying more items from them. I have been in lots of conversations with theSmartShop as my requirements were 'unique' and every single person I talked to was so helpful, if they didn't know the answer they passed me on to someone that did, there was no passing me from one person to another it was straight to the person that knew the answer or a call back, and they always called back. I'm very impressed!

I needed to purchase a smart wifi socket kit. The web page was very clear regarding what equipment I would need. I checked with telephone sales person and she was warm and friendly in her response and clearly answered my queries I am very happy with your service Regards John Kennedy

First time ordering with The Smartshop and my first impressions are very good! I ordered quite a few products and a couple were out of stock but I was kept informed by customer services and they only took a couple of days to dispatch. Courier was DPD, which is perfect for working people, as it can be sent the local shops or redirected easily. Haven't used any of the Lightwave RF switches yet, as they are going to be a Christmas present. I have full confidence they'll work great and an added bonus they offered free gift wrapping! Can't find a fault, good price & service. Will be using again soon!

Product price was good and delivery time was good. However it would have been useful to have an estimated delivery time and/or order tracking. Having the delivery driver banging on my door at 7am was a bit of a rude awakening.

I ordered on Sunday 29th November and Had to call them twice to chase delivery, today (11th December) I get a txt message saying goods will be delivered by dpd on Monday. Very poor service and very poor communication, and what makes it worse your not sending the full order out and I will have to wait God knows how long for the balance. Not professional. I needed this last weekend to install it, could of got it quicker from maplins and wish I had.

I chose The Smartshop.co.uk because it has the best prices for the products I was looking for. Easy to use ordering process with free delivery for orders over £50. Simply put it was the 'Smart' choice to make. Highly recommended.

Order was easy to place, Was disappointed some items were out of stock, however a numbers of emails asking for delivery dates was efficiently handled.

Equipment ordered arrives very quickly. Very well packaged and the equipment itself is very well designed and robust. Easy to install by any DIY person, no need for a specialist, engineer or electrician, even for wiring in the boiler switch (which is the only wiring job you will have to do, if purchased). Questions entered through the support ticketing system can take a couple of days to be answered, but if you e-mail customer services at the SmartShop, then they will help you very promptly with expert advice and help. Would strongly recommend to anyone wanting to automate their home heating. Cheaper than many alternatives.

Customer service on the phones (excellent) but It would be good to know when goods get despatch, as I had to phone 2 times to find out when I will be receiving my items, update by email would give you 5 stars.

I placed my order on the 12th of October (39 days ago) and its still not arrived. After enquiring I have been notified that its out of stock but that's pretty poor availability in my opinion and surely the website should tell you the lead time \ availability.

Hi Robert - Many thanks for your comments. Apologies you have had to wait for an item to return to stock. The Smartshop don't handle the distribution or production of LightwaveRF goods so are dependant on the UK distributer having stock. The website runs a 24 hour stock system currently and we hope to have a better supply moving forward. Apologies again. Smartshop Team
