Absolutely disgusted with Tesco Mobile. I did everything I was supposed to do. I was in Greece, manually selected my network, spent most of my holiday connected to hotel Wi-Fi, and never even set foot in Turkey. Yet Tesco still charged me roaming fees because my phone allegedly connected to a Turkish network in the background. €97 + € 60 After hours of messages, reports, and explanations, the answer was basically: “Our system says so, therefore you pay.” No common sense. No real customer care. No accountability. Just a bill and a refusal to take responsibility for a situation that was completely outside my control. A loyal customer can do everything right and still get hit with ridiculous roaming charges. Be warned.

I would not recommend going to Tesco’s Mobile network. I had nothing but signal issues and got told I would get compensation for the problems I hadand haven’t had a thing I have now gone with a different network which I would highly recommend customer service or just full of false promises. Staff in the Tesco’s Mobile store was very helpful. More helpful than customer service was..

In Northern Scotland and Cumbria, including coastal regions of Cumbria us absolute rubbish. The customer care is just as bad. Engineers say it us fine. About time a few senior managers found tgemselves surplus to requirements

I have been with Tesco mobile for years. Their top up structure has changed for the much worse. For years I have just topped up with my debit card as necessary. It has just taken me 3 hours to get home from the local train station because I couldn't contact my husband to pick me up. I had to get a branch line train and then a bus. Tesco mobile did not warn me that my balance had expired, and now, if it does, you cannot top up with your debit card, that you have used for years, you have to find a Tesco and buy a voucher. Any attempt to contact them results in being redirected to the app. I am not stupid, I have the app! The app does not let you top up if you have no credit left. Asking me for my "new" postcode when I have lived at the same address for 20 years-what is that about? Shockingly disappointing. New mobile supplier and new supermarket is definitely a job to do for tomorrow.

Absolute disgrace. I am not a Tesco Mobile customer as I was never even able to sign up despite multiple attempts, a visit the store and several calls with sales and others. They do not even know what the issue is and have no ability to override it. Absolute dogshit. They in the end suggested I tried another provider which I have.

Honestly if there is one thing that you… Honestly if there is one thing that you do in life do not take out a mobile phone from Tesco, their customer service team are not based in the UK, their agents are not fit for purpose, the don’t even know how to spell Christopher, you cannot speak to a manager, they will just give you a reference number then when you call back the next agent will advise that reference number is not valid, I tried to make a complaint so I could go to the ombudsman and have just been fobbed off continuously, please there are companies out there that are so much better, please please please do not use Tesco mobile, they are not fit for purpose and should not be able operate in the UK ..

I’m beyond thankful for how they showed up for me when I needed help the most. If you’re feeling stuck or Mrs. Zamora Lisette, I highly recommend reaching out to her. They turn stressful situations into clear, manageable steps—and that kind of support is priceless.

Tesco Mobile whole customer care team and CEO are shocking! Trying to charge me over £1000 for an error they made! They even confirmed the error and admitted fault but not willing to fix it. DO NOT USE THEM.

Today, Saturday 18th April 2026, I went to Tesco Mobile in Hanley, store number 5851, to enquire about upgrading my sim and also my wife's in order to connect to the internet. I was served by the store assistant 'Cindy'. What an amazing experience I had; she answered every question I put to her with confidence that I fully understood, needless to say she sorted me with a package she recommended to meet my needs. She is a 100% credit to the company.

Appalling customer service and mobile data no longer available in France I have been a customer for around 15 years. Service was previously ok and I recommended Tesco mobile in the past. Never again. What has happened? Have Tesco mobile outsourced customer services? FAILURES OF SERVICE: - Mobile data no longer working in France (for whole of 2 week period (it did work fine over the previous 4 years) - Tesco mobile can give no explanation and no resolution to the problem (O2 worked fine for a a family member not on a Tesco mobile contract who was with me) - None of their trouble shooting options worked - Tesco mobile state they cannot assure me it won't keep happening each time I am in France (which is quite often) - So 'home from home' service no longer available - Tesco mobile sent me text messages and left voicemail messages during this period despite knowing I had no mobile data to receive these. - No longer an option to leave a personal greeting when a phone call is received but you are unable to answer phone at that time. - Poor and inconsistent advice every time contact with customer services made. - 'Live' chat can take over an hour to respond. - No attempt to address concerns and put right - just a 'computer says no' approach. Customers not valued. Be warned and shop elsewhere - I now have to change my provider to get what should be a basic standard service.

Very poor signal in Worcester (WR14 area). Data and calls often don’t work at all, even in central areas. Been like this for 2 months. Would not recommend if you rely on stable coverage.

I rang Tesco mobile on 7th April(Tuesday) to swap from pay monthly, to pay as you go. Was told it was going to take 24 hours. No problem I thought. It's now Friday 10th April and still it hasn't been done. I have rang up everyday and was told it'll take 48 hours then phoned up again to be told it's going to be another 24 hour and I'm going to get compensation. Bloody incompetent. Update 11th April, phone number still not working. Keep getting told different things every time I ring, like today. Update 13th April.... Phone number still not working as they promised, they are now telling me I need a new SIM card, however I did ask them last week if I needed a new one and got told no, the one you have will work fine.

This app is not user-unfriendly, it is UNWORKABLE!!! The old app was simple and easy to use. Now after putting in passwords, address (which it should know), and inside leg measurement, it refuses to move on beyond "CONTINUE TO PAYMENT"! The only way to pay is by voucher, 20th century technology. I am going to change service provider.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced and an appalling case of mis-selling to an elderly lady (my Mum). Instead of helping her with her existing phone, they persuaded her to change to Tesco without advising she could keep her number or put her SIM in an unlocked phone. They sold her a contract that locked her in and a phone that's too complicated for her to use, with barely any signal at her house! She's been in an awful state and despite multiple visits, emails and phone calls we haven't been able to return the phone and cancel the contract. The contrast with BT, who have been so kind and helpful every time I've spoken to them, couldn't be greater. We've referred the whole matter to Ofcom now.

I have experienced the same hinge-related screen fault three times on a Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 within a relatively short period. After the second failure, I was incorrectly advised by Tesco Mobile that the device was out of warranty and directed to Samsung for repair. I followed that advice, and the phone was repaired — only for the same fault to occur again. When I contacted Tesco Mobile for the third failure, I was willing to allow inspection of the device, but was told only a further repair would be considered. Given the repeated nature of the issue, I do not consider this a reasonable solution. Communication has also been very poor, with missed callbacks, inconsistent responses, and no clear way to engage with the complaints team. I have now had to escalate the matter to the ombudsman in order to seek a fair resolution. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
