Helped with all the paperwork, but finding a job was a bit difficult. Overall would recommend!

My trip coordinator was helpful from start to finish. She assisted me with any questions or concerns i had about the trip. She was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout this transition

How lucky am I to be in Italy! And to still have the time outside of my work schedule to be able to travel through Europe! My coordinator, Julie Anne, has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you!

I've had a great time teaching in France so far. The staff at the school are very kind and welcoming, and the students are eager to learn. The family I'm staying with is also very gracious, and we've shared a lot of laughs together. I suppose my only issue would be that occasionally it is difficult to know what is expected of me in the course of a school day. Sometimes the teachers don't know what to do with me. The advice I would give anyone wanting to do this program is LEARN FRENCH. The French as you might know are not known for their English skills, and I found knowing the language to be indispensable in helping to clarify things and get properly oriented. Thanks Julie-Anne and the team for helping me to organise this trip!

The trip has been amazing so far, the activities and team have been really good and helpful! Only problem has been getting a job sorted which isn't fully in globals control but still a pain

I can say that this was the best decision of my life to go overseas and live abroad for a couple months. I count myself very lucky as I've had amazing experiences on this journey and will continue to have many more as I have created a new life in Edinburgh, Scotland. The team I had with Global Work and Travel made me feel secure and ready to leave my life in Australia for some time and explore what else life could offer me. I want to thank Rebecca for helping me with my flights and travel insurance as I hadn't ever booked them before on my own. (I can now as I've had opportunities to fly around Europe!) Krystal has been fantastic, she's been there for any questions I had about the Visa, SIM card, bonus activities I had for my UK Plus program and more. I felt I got a handle being on my own quickly, but knowing Krystal was there just solidified the confidence. (Unfortunately not for weekends or out of work hours, so luckily no dire need for information at those times for me). While not everything is perfect with Global, I am grateful for my experience with them. Thank you!

The course you take is very intense, but the people you meet make up for it.

Bec and Ellen were great and supportive throughout the whole process. And they answered all of my questions clearly. I would recommend, next time staff go on holiday, to set up an out of office - there was a period where I was emailing Ellen to no reply, but when she finally replied she said she had been on holiday. Otherwise, it was all good!

It was an amazing experience! The only criticism that I have is, is that I didn't have a job when I was already in New Zealand. I would much rather had a job already before I left. Also the process of getting IRD for people from the states. If your verification doesn't work you pretty much have to do everything in person. She should know the steps, I feel like we were figuring it out together. Overall everything else was amazing I loved getting to know my person, response time was quick.

Taylor and Ellen are very attentive and invested in the best. Great job! 4 stars because the conditions of the hotel aren't the greatest but not terrible.

The service from global was really helpful and made me feel at ease about moving to the other side of the world! I secured a job (very easily) with the assistance of Asti. The packing list etc are useful and thoughtful helpers to preapre you fro your jounrey and there are enough checkin opportunities before your trip starts. I had a few hiccups when I arrived in Australia with my pickup service and calls to the helpline cost me dearly. The set up of the mobile sim and bank card are really helpful, as well as assistance with your TFN if needed and guidance for Medicare (if applicable). The trips (national park and surfing) I had on my first two days were excellent and i really enjoyed them, although it would have been nice if they could be shared with other Global travellers. I am looking forward to my Great barrier Reef trip too. I have given four stars as I was not very comfortable sharing a mixed dorm in my first hostel and I think an option for single sex dorms should be given, I would have also expected a slightly better quality of accommodation for the first week for the price that is being paid. I also think a wider range of employment options could be beneficial.

I was super excited to be Au-Pairing in Europe for the first time! The first 2 weeks with my host family were a bit rocky, I reached out to my trip coordinator and they gave me SUCH great advice. After taking their advice me and my host family have great communication and all parties are happy with our placement.

My trip coordinator Gagan was awesome. Meeting me at the airport warmly in Nepali fashion. He informed me I was the only volunteer. This was a bit of a shock to be honest. It turned out Gagan offered to take me up to his home village and visit his school. 40km from the Tibet border. No Global persons has been there. The multiple school visits I did were inspiring for me and beautiful children. Most nights the principal would join us for dinner. He also runs a farm. Planting rice on the steep slopes of this village. After 5 days up there, I returned to Kathmandu. Rested then headed to the orphanage and home stay. It turned out there was a volunteer from a different agency also volunteering there. We teamed up and had an awesome experience with these special children. A mix of helping with their homework and playing games we had brought. They love their music and I left my blue tooth boom box with them. I spent a lot on extra items for this group of wonderful children. I was brother Tony to all of them. And stated an extra 4 days. Our host family were warm and welcoming. A clean new home cooking and facility s were above expectations. Apsala our host was inspiring and loves the orphanage kids and really cares for their welfare. This orphanage is supported by a Swiss group. However I would like to say apparently a representative from Global visits once a year. Global say profits from my trip and others goes to this community. It is apparent nothing has been contributed to this orphanage. A significant amount was allocated to a dog shelter some where I do not know. But nothing to this orphanage from which Global is making significant income from paying volunteers like myself. I truly believe the orphanage is a much higher priority than stray dogs. They need assistance in basic lighting. An improved kitchen washing space to clean large pots and pans and all the dishes from 40 meals a day for three meals. They currently was on a concrete bunker at ground level. The two Aunty s care and work so hard. Maybe a higher large sink at waist height may assist their washing process and save their backs. I really hope some one in your company takes note of my feedback and I will be following up on this personally. Thanks for this opportunity. I would love to return in another way.

The experience was lovely, everything was taken care of in a substantial manner. Little scary when it came to the timing of interviews, I think resume's should have probably been sent out earlier than they were but it is all well as everything turned out well. The accomodation provided was alright, probably not worth the money, an inclusion for a private room seems more fair. Overall, it was a fulfilling experience, Holly was amazing and tried her best to get us ready. Her reception was amazing and she really helped us out when we arrived and continues to check in on us.
