Today I took my watch to one of your labs for a battery replacement and reseal. The technician was really helpful . He replaced the battery and told me that it had not been possible to reseal it due to the stopwatch buttons being damaged due to wear and tear which I fully accept. I am however questioning whether I should have in fact been contacted by him to tell me this before replacing the battery and not being able to provide the full service that I had paid for.

Told my watch would take 2 weeks max, 'falser than any other company out there' I was told. They also told be it would be going out tonight for repair (Thursday). I ran today to get an update on my watch as it's been nearly 2 weeks only to be told it went up on Monday 13th (when all collections are made) and it's going to be another two weeks making the 2 weeks promised service nearly 4 weeks. Not sure what the quantity is like as I've not had the watch back yet. So, don't believe them if they say it's a two week service, more like 4 weeks.

Frustrating, have my omega, won’t give me an up date , just say quoted 4 weeks and will be in touch after then . Just want to know the stage it’s at as manager in store at Nottingham said can sometimes take 1 week so just want to know if back sooner for my holidays. Won’t call up or find out for me . £295 for a new bracelet clasp , scandalous

Went to cribs causeway. Shop opened late but waited. Male assistant apologised and gave me story of flat tyre. My tag watch battery needed changing. He stated that it may need servicing and it may stop even if new battery fitted. Left it with him, returning hours later. Indeed, he said I needed a service and my watch now did not work at all , even with a new battery. Not happy, felt like I was being had over so took my watch and left. I then took it to a good jewellers and advised that If it needed a service to go ahead. I was told when I picked it up that a service was not necessary and all that was required was a battery. I will never go to watch lab again.

Took my 18 month old Victorinox watch into Woking branch for new battery and reseal. Was told 2 year guarantee and reseal essential to maintain water resistance (100m on this model). Back home reading the invoice it states only 12 months guarantee and NOT water resistant. Also various scuffs and chips not there before. I didn't go over the watch with them to check for scratches before I left it with them - more fool me but I have been charged £50 for a job the local man would do for £5. He wouldn't guarantee water resistance either but he wouldn't have scratched it.

My Partner asked for a quote through The Watch Lab website for a new battery for my 2 year old Raymond Weil Jasmine watch. After a few days he hadn't received a response so we took my watch into The Watch Lab at the Bluewater Shopping Centre (Kent) on 26th July. We were told by Richard Hancock that a replacement battery would be £69.95, after been given all the sales pitch about resealing it etc etc... Richard also offered us a "mini valet" (sonic clean) with more sales pitch at the 50% reduced rate of £20. Against my better judgement I agreed and paid £89.95 for both services. When I collected my watch later that day the clasp was very stiff to fasten and the bracelet was also tight. Richard said this was as a result of the sonic cleaning process. We mentioned to Richard that we had requested a quote on line and had no response and "joked" about the irony if the quote came back cheaper... ...My partner received a phone call from The Watch Lab a couple of days later on 28th July in response to his original enquiry. After a discussion about the exact make and model of my watch he was told that a new battery would cost £49.95 i.e. £20 cheaper. He then told the lady on the phone that we had already paid £69.95! She was shocked and confirmed that all The Watch Lab outlets should be charging the same price. My partner then telephoned The Watch Lab at Bluewater and spoke to Richard. After a conversation my partner was told that I would be given a £20 discount the next time we took any watch into The Watch Lab. No confirmation other than it would be recorded on their computer against our home address! I am not happy with this response as I have no confidence in them and I will not be taking my watch there ever again. I want a £20 refund! I called The Watch Lab head office on 9th August, explained what my complaint was and asked to speak to a Manager, I was told that a Manager would call me the next day. I advised tham to leave a message as I would not be available to speak to the next day. "Jonathan" from "Head Office" left me a voicemail message on 10th August informing me that he didn't see an issue with the discrepancy in the quoted prices because of the many different watches made by Raymond Weil - this despite my Partner having had a detailed conversation regarding the make and model of my watch. "Jonathan" did not leave his full name or contact details for me to return his call. We will not be using The Watch Lab again and we would not recommend their poor service to anyone else! Avoid The Watch Lab!

Took my watch in for a battery and seal. Assistant offered me a clean while it was in for only £20. When I picked it up I could see residue maybe polish all over the bracelet so I mentioned it to the assistant. He rubbed at it with a cloth and said "Yeah thats done". Upon getting home and inspecting the watch more closely it covered in grime, polish and generally looks terrible. I'll have to spend an hour cleaning it myself which defeats the object of a clean for £20 doesn't it? Won't be using you again.

I was visiting Leeds and saw your shop . I asked for my battery to be replaced and also to shorten the watch bracelet, at the time the shop was busy and could I leave my watch and return in an hour. When I returned the battery had been replaced and the watch was working, I did not try the watch on my wrist but was told the links taken out were in the plast W hen I got home I tllok the watch from the bag and realised the bracelet had not been shortened. I rang the shop and they refunded the money for not carrying out the shortening

Rotary watch The price went up by 25% after you had already had my watch for six weeks because you had made a technical error regarding the workings of my watch as identified the wrong timing mechanism

Wanted £195 to replace battery/reseal and fit an additional manufacturers link for my Tag Heuer. Sent it to the trusty company I've used for 20 years and they charged me £53 for the same service. I only went to Watch Lab for the local convenience (Bristol - Cribbs Causeway)!

I put my watch in to Buchan Galleries to get a link removed and a slack pin tightened. On return of my watch it hand not even been cleaned and was still covered in prints. Three of the pins have damage to the screw heads that could only have been done with an undersized screw driver. The pins were set with loctite but are still so tight that the bracelet is stiff. Being a high quality watch I would not recommend or use this company again. Rolex Deep-sea.

I was happy with staff and service. I was not happy with price. Over 40 pound for a battery is way over priced. I paid it as I really needed it but in the past I have went else where and paid 10 pound. I would not recommend or use again due to this.

Quick friendly service but I paid £70 for what was basically a battery change. My watch was then losing about 5 minutes an hour. I took it back and was advised It needed a service for another £125....just too expensive

Order No. 3343497 The watch arrived packed in two cardboard boxes and a Lorus plastic case which was broken in bits. Fortunately the watch was still intact and works well. The box is in the recycle bin. The delivery was quick with tracking. I believe the packing is inadequate for Royal Mail.

Your shop in Reading replaced the battery in my Timberland watch on the 24th June (along with 2 other watches) but they couldn't refit the strap so advised they would send it to your HO and I should get it back in about a week. I called to chase on 7th July and was told that they would check where it was and to date, still no call. 3 weeks to fit a strap? Ironically, that watch came from one of your other Group's shops and isn't that old - surprised it needed a battery so soon. Poor customer service

Watch sent for service and new battery of tissot watch. Cost £125. Six weeks later got back but running 5 min slow each day. Returned to watch lab under guarantee but now total of nine weeks and been told could be a further 3 to 5 weeks before fixed. Guys in shop very pleasant so I 'm sorry I can't currently give positive feedback
