“Went to collect jacket that had been altered on arranged day and had not been done! I had paid for it too, won't do that again and probably won't use zipyard again as my Son in law went to collect his trousers that were being cleaned on agreed day and you had lost them!”

“The dress I couldn't wear because zip was not opening properly and I had only wore once for wedding and wouldn't wear again in case it got stuck The lady who did the alteration managed to use same .Zip and my dress is now running beautifully Thankyou”

“Unfortunately the zip on one of my wife's favorite handbags broke. I have driven up and down Wimborne Road a few times and seen the Zip Yard so took it there Very helpful staff took a look and said they could replace it with a new zip £30.00 later (less expensive than a new handbag) i picked it up and must say it was a wonderful job. Wife well pleased Also there was a problem with the zip on one of my fleece jackets. That was soon fixed and the jacket is now like new”

“The alterations are done well but they are a lot more expensive than they used to be. They also take a very long time 11 days!!! Which is far too long. The situation of the shop is however very convenient. But the service is sadly not as good as it once was.”

“very expensive in comparison to other shops in Bournemouth £28 to shorten two pairs of shorts !!! rip off could have bought two new pairs - also was told to pick them up over ten days later by then they were useless”

1 STAR!! If it was too expensive for you WHY did you book your shorts in with us and not go to the other shops in Bournemouth as you say! When you arrived you would of been told the price and a due date, which you were clearly happy with otherwise you would have gone elsewhere or bought two new pairs as you say.

“The ladies were friendly and helpful. Suggested I try the garments on to check requirements before alteration which I really appreciated. Very pleased with finished results. A good experience I will recommend to friends and will be back. Thanks Ladies ????”

“I had a beautiful jumpsuit which I bought with the intention of losing weight. I did so but it was still too short in the body and I had given up hope of being able to wear it. However, I brought it into the Zipyard as with previous alterations I have needed and the wonderful ladies once again sorted it out by adding an extra band of material. The jumpsuit fits absolutely perfectly and I couldn't be happier!”

“I've been using the Zipyard for several years by having items altered, taken in, taken up or remodelled, and have always been delighted with the skill and courtesy of the seamtresses. They are friendly, polite and knowledgeable, although when visiting yesterday, they were clearly working under considerable pressure in the absence of any management or front of house staff. The seamtresses were having to take a lot of flak from customers who should have been dealt with by someone on the front desk, instead of taking them away from their workroom. When the manager is in, he's not the most knowledgeable, is more interested in being flippant with customers, regardless of how many are in the queue and seems more of a hindrance than an asset to the very capable and talented team of ladies in the back room, who are brilliant at their job, but are not being supported by the manager”
