“They made sure my garment was ready 2 days early to enable me to wear the trousers to a party. Friendly, helpful staff. Used before and would definitely recommend them.”

“Dropped two pairs of new trousers in to be taken up. Was told if I want to express service it would cost me around £28. However; I can take normal service for £22 and colect by 4 pm the next day. This suited me as i was flying that evening and could take the trousers with me. I arrived the next day to collect my trousers but they could not find them, even though they told me they were on their system. I waited first i the cue and then was told to wait by whilst they dealt with other customers, I was then asked to come to the back of the store to look for my own trousers. I found them at a back of rack, and they had not even been taken up! I was then told if I could come back a 5 pm, this was not an option for me as I has a tight schedule and another meeting plus a flight to catch. I was also concerned that they intend to just rush the job through. I has to leave without my trousers. I then received a call from the store apologising and saying that the trousers had been done if I could get there, which I couldn't. I told that my wife would have to collect on the following monday. The call apologies and said I would receive a discount. My wife collected on the monday, no sorry, no discount!!! I did however get a parking ticket for waiting to long before and now one of the pairs of trousers has already started to come down so I have to take somewhere else.”

“Excellent service. My daughter got her prom dress at the last minute and it needed taking up (two days before her prom), I had visions of me making a hideous mess! Someone told me about the zipyard, fantastic job done and so quick! I will always go there now for all my alterations.”

“Always precise and good standard of alterations however £50 to have 2 pairs of trousers taken in is a little steep, especially when you're a student. Maybe introducing a student or multiple garment discount would entice me to come back more. Always friendly service at the Winton, Bournemouth store (and super convenient location).”

“The beautiful Italian seamstress . . She is impeccably presented, flawlessly friendly and helpful, and a total demon with a sewing machine. If it was up to me, she'd be instantly promoted and given the type of raise which could only be described as obscene. I never imagined mere curtains could be so uplifting . .”

“Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The button was replaced perfectly on the jeans as requested, cost about £4 which I think is reasonable, and saved me buying a new pair. The shop is close to work, so no parking issues, and the garment was ready on time. Professional job, took from Wed morning to Friday 4pm to complete, which was the only disappointment - I would have preferred a 48 hour turnaround.”

“This is about the 5th time I have had either alterations or cleaning work done at Zipyard and I cant praise then enough. I would never dream of going anywhere else as their work is far superior to anywhere else I have been. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and make sure that what I want is understood. EXCELLENT. L”
