I was recently charged the excessive and unjustified charge of almost £500 for a simple blocked toilet call-out. As a vulnerable pensioner, I believe I have been taken advantage of, and I am extremely concerned about the legality and fairness of the price charged.
The service provided did not reflect the cost demanded, and at no point was I given a clear breakdown of fees, a written quote, or any explanation that the work could cost such an excessively high amount. The action required to unblock the toilet was minimal, and the fee charged is grossly disproportionate. Expect a formal complaint ASAP. Trading Standards have also been informed.

I strongly advise other consumers—especially elderly or vulnerable individuals—not to use this service. The cost charged was excessive, not explained beforehand, and does not represent fair or ethical practice.”

The plumber was able to fix the leak within 15mins, so I am at a loss as to why I was charged £198 for a 15 min job. I thought it would be still be £82.50 even though the work was done in less than half hour.”

“This company charged my mum and dad who are aged 84 and 89 £198 labour for less than one hour’s labour to fit a new tap and cistern. No doubt the company will point out that they told them up from how much it would be so on the face of it aren’t breaking any laws but like many vulnerable older people my parents were so trusting that they just assumed that this was the going rate. Totally reprehensible and immoral behaviour and I just don’t see how they can sleep at night. Avoid at all costs.”
“Do not under any circumstances deal with this company. They charged me £222 to repair a dripping tap, I hasten to add not new taps just a simple washer type thing costing £60 plus vat and £124 labour plus vat. They are robbers who don't fully explain their costings on the phone. If it were possible to give zero stars I would.”
“I was told £62 pure half-hour plumber was with me 25min but i got stung for £162 the plumber used PTF tape and a washer to repair a dripping joint on a copper pipe going into my storage tank in the attic he was told to change the whole tank ..but no need as the tank itself was fine.. beware this is a bunch of cowboys out to Rob people at least Dick Turpin had the curtesy to wear a mask..”

I'm writing to warn others about my disappointing experience with this company. Their services were advertised as 62.50 for half an hour work, but was charged an hour for a less than 15mins work
Specifically, I found their practices to be misleading, with promises that weren't fulfilled. Given the issues I encountered, such as hidden fees and poor communication, I believe their business practices are questionable.
I would not recommend this company to others without serious caution. Hopefully, they'll take steps to improve their services and transparency.

“Absolutely appalling how these people are still in business. My elderly mother in law has no hot water on the shower, turned up and said they can't do it. Tightened the BATH TAPS, which was never the issue and then left her an invoice of £198. I am likely to report this company so they can keep getting away with this.”

I just asked for the shower to be connected, a process that takes half an hour. I agreed to half an hour. It took two and a half hours. The plumber took advantage of my illness and kept going down to his car and coming back four times, stalling until it took two and a half hours. He took 585 pounds by force. He robbed me.”
“Update on a previous review. I eventually got through to them and after missed appointments the origin plumber came. He spent 10 minutes "looking" at the problem and then told me the problem was with the shower screen. What utter nonsense. If that was the problem there would be water on the bathroom floor. However, we have replaced the shower screen to no avail. The shower is still leaking. I shall endeavour to engage a reliable plumber and recommend that this company is never used.”
