“It helps, the app doesn’t stay open so I have to fund it and navigate which is a pain with aura. Now I’m trying it for prevention, hope it helps!”

“Using the device has been a very good experience all in all. The acute care companion (I think that’s what it’s called) has canned music that comes to the fore at the end that’s too percussive and repetitive to be relaxing, but the other audio tracks are fine. One thing that has been an unpleasant surprise and an unfortunate development is that the patient can no longer obtain refills on one’s existing Nerivio device up till its expiration date by pressing the refill button. We now have to purchase an entire new device, arm band and all, at full price, each time the 18 treatments have been used. This causes distress for the patient who has limited funds and moreover makes no business or economic sense. It also causes environmental waste. Sending the old device to be “recycled” is of little or no consequence. I hope that we can get back to using our devices until their given expiration dates. Mine is to expire a year from now (9/19/24), yet I’ve only four more sessions I can now use. It will now be rendered useless once I’ve used them up.”

“I am Masuda Begam, 29 years old. I have been suffering from severe migraine for the last 15 years with 8-10 frequencies monthly, after using Nerivio for about 3 months it has shown good results in controlling my migraine and now the frequency has reduced to 4-5 times monthly. I would highly recommend people who are suffering through severe migraine to use Nerivio on a regular basis it is going to give you positive result.”

“I am only given this a three because I haven’t been using it for long but has not been hopeful as of yet. I feel like the amount of money you spend on something like this should let you continue where you left off even after 5 minutes, but unfortunately it does not but oh well. I feel like that’s a design flaw and it should be allowed to continue where you left off on a treatment if you don’t complete the whole 45 minutes.”

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback, Krystina. For effective results, each Nerivio treatment duration should be 45 minutes. Each session can be paused up to 3 times. If a treatment is not resumed within 5 minutes, it will be stopped automatically. When the treatment is resumed, the stimulation intensity will gradually increase to the level used before pausing the treatment. For migraine treatment: Based on our clinical studies and feedback from users, we recommend using Nerivio about 4-5 times to evaluate its efficacy for aborting your migraine attacks. This will allow you to get accustomed to using the device and app, set the intensity level to an optimal level, and experience the app's behavioral therapy feature - GIER. For migraine prevention: Our clinical trial shows that after 2 weeks of treating with Nerivio every other day, you can already benefit from a reduction in attack frequency. To experience a larger reduction in attack frequency, we recommend treating every other day for 8 weeks, which was shown to lead to a mean reduction of 4 migraine days per month.
