“I am only given this a three because I haven’t been using it for long but has not been hopeful as of yet. I feel like the amount of money you spend on something like this should let you continue where you left off even after 5 minutes, but unfortunately it does not but oh well. I feel like that’s a design flaw and it should be allowed to continue where you left off on a treatment if you don’t complete the whole 45 minutes.”

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback, Krystina. For effective results, each Nerivio treatment duration should be 45 minutes. Each session can be paused up to 3 times. If a treatment is not resumed within 5 minutes, it will be stopped automatically. When the treatment is resumed, the stimulation intensity will gradually increase to the level used before pausing the treatment. For migraine treatment: Based on our clinical studies and feedback from users, we recommend using Nerivio about 4-5 times to evaluate its efficacy for aborting your migraine attacks. This will allow you to get accustomed to using the device and app, set the intensity level to an optimal level, and experience the app's behavioral therapy feature - GIER. For migraine prevention: Our clinical trial shows that after 2 weeks of treating with Nerivio every other day, you can already benefit from a reduction in attack frequency. To experience a larger reduction in attack frequency, we recommend treating every other day for 8 weeks, which was shown to lead to a mean reduction of 4 migraine days per month.

“The device works well for my migraines. The only downside is that there is no way to use the device without my phone. I get light sensitivity, and having to use the phone to set up the device and increase/decrease the intensity is really painful.”

At the start of treatment, you should set the treatment intensity level by increasing it to a level that feels strong yet comfortable and not painful. If the sensation is uncomfortable or painful, you should decrease the intensity by 1 or 2% or until strong but comfortable. During treatment, you might feel that the intensity has become less intense. This does not mean that it has stopped working, it simply means your body has slightly adjusted to it. “Right now it doesn’t appear to be working for me even when I do it right away my headache just gets worse. It feels better while using Nerovio but afterwards, when the sessions over , it just goes right to worse and I need to take sumatriptan.”

Hi Karen. Nerivio leads to pain relief in 2 out of 3 people with migraine (67%) and to pain freedom in more than 1 out of 3 (39%). However, every individual experiences migraine differently, and as with any migraine treatment, not everyone benefits from Nerivio. In such cases, the migraine attack itself may continue and even worsen with time, which is the natural progress of untreated migraine attacks. In other words, the worsening of an attack may result from the patient being not responsive to the treatment, not from the treatment itself. It may take some time to become accustomed to using the device and app and determine the optimal intensity level for you. I can connect you with our Nerivio Cares support team. “I was wakened by the migraine, so I put it on after taking my Rx, but neither seemed to help. I was awake for over 2 hours and when I did fll asleep it was still a light sleep. I'm exhausted now.”

“I've used nervio 3 times for an actual headache. 1 time the treatment stopped the headache for about an hour after treatment. The 2ndctime it inky helped while wearing an active nerivio. 3rd time it seems to have helped longer but I also used triptan.”

“I don't know if it's doing anything or not but my arm is sore two days later like I worked out and I couldn't figure it out and then I realized I did a treatment. No big deal about the pain it's the level I had it set up so I switched to the other arm today and kept it lower and we will see what happens.”

“Easy to use. Not sure if it’s working yet. Need to give it more time. Wish they would not send a new arm band each time you get a refill. Not v environmentally friendly. No need to get a new arm band each time. On website says insurance eligible but when I called they said vast majority (almost all if not all) don’t take insurance so feel like that is a bit of false advertising. When I called with a few questions, I’m not sure I got answers. So this review is really about the whole package not just the device.”
