“Steak and kidney pie. Huge chunks of meat but that meant that they were not tender as not cooked through. Whole kidney, rather than trimmed which, therefore included the tough core. I love pies but this was simply awful.”

“I'm sorry to say my first peppered steak pie from a batch I ordered was horrible with tough meat and gristle I did contact customer services to tell how disappointed I was with the quality.”

“Been ordering pies for a few years but the last lot was terrible. Two lumps of meat and very fatty meat and sadly I won’t be reordering again! They are not the same Quality!”

“This company has now been sold and is no longer as good as it was the originators now have set up a new business which is as good as this one used to be so l suggest you try them instead once this company left Sussex it went downhill”

“I Ordered two boxes of their boozy Christmas mince pies, other years I’ve ordered these and they’ve been sent out in December with a good date for Christmas NOT this year they were out of date before the end November!! on contacting them they said to freeze them which I did only to find when they were defrosted they looked nothing like the photo they used to advertise them, the pastry resembles leather and is rock hard so much so you’d need a chisel to get to the filling, they agreed in an email the pies weren’t up to their normal standard but they have refused to give me a refund (very poor customer service) they told me I should heat them up!! These used to be the best mince pies on the market and although expensive I felt worth every penny but not anymore, as I’ve already said you need a chisel to get to the filling ONLY FIT FOR THE BIN TOTAL WASTE OF £30 and so sad such a good business is now no longer interested in their customers comments, poor on you, The worst Pie Company 😡 The company did offer me £10 discount off my next order but what about the other £20 I’ve wasted, after the treatment I’ve had a £10 voucher is no good as ill never place another order with this company See photos of what I got and last photo is the photo they used to advertise pies, mine look nothing like theirs and definitely doesn’t show how rock solid they are😡😡😡😡😡😡😡”

“Products ordered eventually arrived soggy and damaged, customer service was non existent, when i did finally manage to speak to somebody they point blank refused to give a refund or send replacement items. Avoid this company at all costs”

“Customer service is appalling, had an email from their courier saying delivery would be made on friday which was not convenient so changed to saturday, had an email to confirm this, pies finally turned up on monday, meaning after sitting in the back of a van for the weekend the pies were scrap, tried to phone pie company to ask for refund all i got was an engaged tone and then it cuts you off, email address supplied on invoice is incorrect, got email address from website only to be told as i changed day of delivery its my fault and refused any refund, after paying nearly a £6 delivery charge you should be able to select a delivery date convenient for you. Also this company needs to realise they are responsible for delivery of goods even if the courier is at fault”

“Loved these pies lots of filling and very tasty. Have seen these on a shopping channel so was delighted when I went to your web site and found I could order individual pies for mine and my husbands taste. Have yet to try the sausage rolls that I ordered but feel sure these will be just as good as the pies. You will definitely be getting another order from me. The ordering was easy and delivery very quick. Thank you.”

“Exellent delivery service and have now tried 5 different speciality / award winning pies and all were delicious. The pastry is nice and crisp and not too thick and there are decent sized chunks of meat. Would definitely order again.”

“Excellent pies. The only downfall is you are given no indication of when they delivery will come and you can't arrange special delivery (this was a birthday present so needed it to arrive on a specific day which i couldn't). I phoned the contact number 5+ times to ask about this. I left a message each time but no one every got back to me. Excellent pies but poor customer service”

“Delighted with my order, everything I have tried so far is delicious, a bit more pricey than other places but the food is worth it. I had an issue with 2 packs of pies not being delivered, however on reporting it I did get a response really quickly. The missing items didn’t arrive when I was first advised, and no one contacted me to inform me but again a quick response when I reached out and they arrived second time round. More communication would be great, as I shouldn’t have had to chase up what was happening. Only other sticking point is you can’t order everything they sell directly from them. I’d love to try the Apple and banoffee crumbles for example but these seem to be exclusive to QVC and I refuse to pay £5-6 per item ordered for delivery from QVC, plus for many items QVC charge more than ordering direct. Bit of a shame as I would order more regularly if all items were available to buy direct from you.”
