“Very happy with the pasties & beef pies I've had several times. However, the chicken pies I tried were entirely bland, I added my own seasoning to them.”

“All pies are filled to the brim with filling and the pastry is crispy and flaky even if you cook from frozen. The steak range of pies are the best with big chunks of tender beef and are truly delicious. We like the steak and cheese range best. The chicken range are also good with a wide range of accompanying ingredients (eg ham, leek,mushroom). Our favourite in this selection is chicken with sage and onion. The non-meat range are also quite nice for a change and are ideal to keep in the freezer for the vegetarian guest. The very best in this range is the chestnut mushroom, leek and stilton (we like this one a lot!). We have also tried sausage rolls and crumble pies which are also a special treat. All of the products are expensive but far surpass the quality of competitors. Sometimes a little more seasoning would do the trick to make the pies more flavoursome and a little more imagination in the non-meat range. The quality of the delivery service is excellent with very efficient packaging. Well done The Real Pie Company - keep up the good work!”

“As much as I think that your product is good, some of my last order lacked as much filling. This mainly concerned the black pudding sausage roll, it had almost no black pudding in it. Also the chicken and leak pie was lucky if it had half a leak in it? Maybe this was just a one off? However your advertisement always has photos of pie's and sausage rolls packed with filling. Like I said I really like your product, so I hope that you can find this as constructive criticism.”

“I have ordered these pies several times , sometimes pies are great . My first batch of steak and Kinney has no kidney , I rang and e-mailed and never got a reply . I did order again , but felt the customer service was very poor . So that would be my last order . Consistency is important for me . No question the pies are filled with meat .”

“Hi I have seen your pies demonstrated on a shopping channel for several year's now. I thought that it was about time that I should give them a try as there are no good pies in the shops. Along with friend 's we ordered your pies and had a tasting session. This is how we judged them, Chicken & ham..... Very little ham and very dry. Beef...Very dry. Chicken & Leek, Dry & lacking in taste. Traditional Sausage Roll,....Too much sausage & the meat needs something to bring it to life. I make my own pies and sausages in the winter so I do know a little about baking and talk with experience. I do think you have a good product but it needs tweaking to entice me and my friends to come back. Its ok to have a full pie of meat but not at the expense of taste and liquid content, after all the taste is in the gravy or sauce. You can take what I have said on board or just ignore it, its up to you this is not so much a complaint but suggestions. John Reeves”

“greta pies and good service until delivery - DPD left them on my door step and took a photo saying left in a safe place! we live on a busy road so free to anyone to take or a dog to p@@ on. lucky for me a kind neighbour took them in for me when she saw them”

“The sausages rolls are big and chunky, and taste amazing heated up in the oven, as are the deep filled pies, but I was disappointed with the Summer Quiches, they were only 2.5cm in depth, not a lot of filling, I make my own to a minimum of 4cm.”

“I recently took delivery of my last order which included the new summer range quiches. I was bitterly disappointed with them and wrote a complaint asking for return and refund via the site form. I have heard nothing since. The pies are usually excellent and these are well below standard, with hardly any filling making them tasteless. A couple of them are overcooked but I understand this can happen. Buying 12 of these quiches, means I have wasted £14 and await their comments.”
