“Ordered plants costing £64 when they finally arrived in stages they were in a terrible state not even worth saving,and only a quarter of the begonia corms came to anything,tried to cancel this order as it was taking so long to arrive and requested a refund but then received email a few days later to say order had been despatched,have complained to them again by email about state of plants but have had no reply,will never order from them again.”
“I ordered £152.00 worth of plants and delivery charge of £4.99 . I thought it would arrive within a few weeks but it said more than 21 weeks so I cancelled and talked to an employer on the 19th and they issued a refund . It has now been 20 days and I have not received my refund. I received back my £4.99 delivery charge but no refund . I got sent an email a week ago saying 3 days from email I would receive refund ….. still nothing . I called 3 days ago they said they put it for urgent refund and yet again nothing . I WILL BE CALLING TRADING STANDARDS . THEY ARE THIEVES”

“I placed an order on 26 May, with a despatch time of 21 days. By 3 July and still not having received my plants, I decided to cancel. As T & M are not taking phone calls, I emailed as requested, assuming that they would be checking emails daily. Unfortunately not. I have today received notification that my plants have been despatched, some 4 days AFTER I cancelled. I have bought quite a large number of plants and have always been very happy with the quality. Unfortunately, this is my first experience of having to deal with Customer Service and to say that I am appalled at the service received is an understatement. I have emailed again today to state that I will not accept these plants and have requested a reply to my email. However, given that earlier emails have been ignored I am not confident about receiving any communication.”
“Avoid this company at all costs. I placed a seed order last month (June 2020), and T&M took the money from my bank account the following day. I emailed them three days ago requesting either a refund of my money, or that they fulfil my order, and apart from an automated response from the "customer service" department, I have neither had a reply, a refund or indeed, my seeds!”
“I started in April to order online, something I’d never done before? I ordered first from Sarah Raven and received some beautifully conditioned plants. However Sarah Raven was not displaying many container plants at the time so I made a foray onto the Thompson Morgan website which was displaying enough plants to fill the Albert Hall.
Unfortunately it was more show than substance because all I ever received were some anaemic looking Fuchsia, one of which had given up the ghost entirely.
I waited in vain for my petunias, (two types) and a month later I received some geraniums whose foliage was so heavily yellowed they they looked as if they’d been camouflaged for use on an army base.
In between I received emails telling me that in the interest of fairness my petunias has been distributed to other unfortunate clients so that everybody had something to plant. Such largesse at my expense.
This firm deserves nothing less than bankruptcy!”
“I sympathise with all those who have had problems with this company. I ordered over £107 worth of plants and tubs in early May. As with others the money was taken the same day but then I was told that some of the items would not be delivered until early 2021!!!? Plug plants that did arrive were poor quality and very few have survived. I have contacted customer service twice now and had no satisfactory reply. Despite asking for a refund I have, today, received 9 Dahlia plug plants to replace the tubers that I had ordered. They look healthy but I didn't want them now as I have already ordered and received replacements from other companies.
Very poor customer service and pretty much no satisfaction with plants. I will not order from them again and am still considering making a complaint to the Trading Standards Office.”
“On reading customer's complaints I don't think I have buckleys chance of hearing from them. I look at my pathetic and meager £64.00's worth of plants and could cry. They are taking a lot of nurturing. This was meant to be my summer treat what a disappointment. I've never ordered plants on line before and never will again. Total rip off.”
“Have ordered with Tompson & Morgan many times, generally no issues, delivered as promised. Didn't expect a lot during lockdown, however, delivered as promised. Very responsive customer service. Any problem resolved efficiently. When I had them, the company resolved them quickly offering refund or resending the plants when available.”

After payment made and cashed on that day I received an e-mail stating the plant order would be delivered at end of July and a cloche with extra parts would be delivered by September!! One little box of broken begonia plants arrived but remaining order is still outstanding. On June 10th I asked for plant order to be cancelled, that hasn't happened, money has not been refunded! Still the 'amazing' adverts appear almost daily!! I have pics but can't get them uploaded.”
“Ordered begonia plants, months later they arrived, or what was left of them. Withered plants, snapped stalks, out of a tray of 24 I have managed to save 3. But they are so poor I doubt if they will grow. Sent an email complaining, no reply! I know it has been a difficult year for everyone, but they are very happy to take your money and deliver very inferior goods. DO NOT BUY FROM T&M.”

“We have used this company in the past and have been disappointed, however because of being one of the very vulnerable I have not left our house so thought things could only have got better from the last order a few years ago. However how wrong could you be, out posti plants were barely two leaves so we only managed to nurture about a third of them.
The next and what we thought was our last plants came bizzy lizzys there were tree empty cells and several of the plants looking worse for their journey and to our dismay our other 120 plants have not arrived they are supposed to have arrived with the courier five days ago but have sat in the depot during the hottest days of this year,so I don't have any great hopes of what we should!!!!! Receive.
Please please avoid this company they did not deserve the second chance. We did try to call the company but no go.”
