I will never use Thompson and Morgan again. I have been growing plants from seed for over 40 years. This year I have spent over £150 with T&M. Very few of the plants have arrived in good condition. Most of them had very poor root systems and would not establish - indoors in perfect growing conditions. T&M also cancelled one of my orders, they did not tell me and I had to telephone them to get a refund. Over the same period I also bought from Dobies - the plants arrived in good condition and without exception established well.

I came to Thompson & Morgan through the moneysavingexpert website whose recommendations are usually trustworthy - but I've never had such a poor experience with a company. Over the last few months I have tried to be extremely patient with T&M because I know it has not been easy for any company during the coronavirus lockdown. However, T&M have been truly appalling. Instead of being up-front and admitting they either could not honour my order or that there would be a significant delay, they greedily took my money anyway and then brought the shutters down. More than four months after placing my order I am still waiting for the company to contact me and still waiting for my refund. Here's my journey: 28th March - Tomato plants ordered. T&M tell me to expect them by the end of April. 22nd May - Tracking link isn't working so I email to enquire where they are. 26th May - MD Chris Wright emails all customers to expect "up to a two week delay" 29th May - I get an email to say my delivery has been delayed UNTIL MARCH 1ST NEXT YEAR! 31st May - I email to cancel my order. 20th June - With no response, I email again to cancel and get an automated email saying someone will be in touch within 14 days. 21st June - Despite me cancelling THREE WEEKS earlier, six dead tomato plants are dispatched to me. 24th June - I email for a third time requesting my refund. 7th August - Still no contact from the company and still no refund. I cannot advise you strongly enough to avoid Thompson & Morgan. I can forgive them for being overwhelmed by an unprecedented situation but I can not forgive them for their deceit and absolute refusal to apologise and return my money.

Ordered a melon plant on 1st April. Being promised the plant on the phone/ e-mails but we are now at the end of July and still nothing. Very disappointed. Has requested a full refund so hope that this will not take as long !.

Plants ordered took months to appear then were damaged total order was not dispatched at same time and promises of shipment not actioned. Hermes deliveries not made with lies told about reasons. Still awaiting shipment of two items ordered a month or so ago. Abysmal service

1 star was obligatory to give a review of 1 to access the comments box. I wouldn't give them any stars and won't be ordering from them again. It took 3 emails and 3 months to get any sort of satisfaction so very poor customer service. I've 2 out of 3 Pennisetum fireworks still alive, just limping along, very poorly plants that will never reach their potential by the end of the season, that if they live. Lobelia cascade waterfall also arrived long after the due date in the form of post it plugs. 6 tiny little plants which have to be fair finally picked up but at what a price. £9.52. Snow peas for £1, 20 in packet, daylight robbery. What really annoys me is i feel that many customers like myself have been taken advantage of because of the pandemic and many others agree, only 8 percent of you recommend Thompson and Morgan. I shall never buy from this shambolic company again.

Ordered some plants in May. Received half the order at the end of May and all the plants were dead. The remaining order never arrived. After many many emails l received half the refund and this morning I received an email saying that they have given me the full refund which is not true.i have already sent pictures of dead plants. Very disappointed with poor service.

Ordered £65 worth of plants, absolutely gutted by what turned up this year. Several emails to customer care met by silence. Won’t be ordering again only disappointed this isn’t more widely viewed to warn others.

The worst experience in many Years. Utter rubbish sent out, lots of items dead .Trays of plants missing. Customer service terrible, just a standard email reply saying thanks, we will be in touch ,then never hear from them again, Definitely jumped on the corona bandwagon as excuse for poor service. Phone lines closed no reply emails ,license to print money selling rubbish.

Ordered garden ready flowers and when they arrived they had been trimmed but looked ok. Now a week and a half later they are dying. They were put in good compost and fed but the roots have not grown outwith their original rootball. Very disappointed

Absulte rubbish. One set of plants arrived dead having been in the post for a week. Still struggling to get et a refund for that and another non delivered delivery. Rude response. Never again

The only reason I gave this company one star, is because you can not write a revue unless you do. It should have been none. I and four friends used this company for the first time because of lock down. Never again. Just read all the reviews about this company. All of them negative and rightly so.

Spent over £100 with these people. Order came in in bits and pieces. A quarter of the first lot were not worth planting. The second delivery are half dead and the third are dead after two weeks. Believe Me I looked after them. Don’t go there.

Ordered plants costing £64 when they finally arrived in stages they were in a terrible state not even worth saving,and only a quarter of the begonia corms came to anything,tried to cancel this order as it was taking so long to arrive and requested a refund but then received email a few days later to say order had been despatched,have complained to them again by email about state of plants but have had no reply,will never order from them again.

I ordered £152.00 worth of plants and delivery charge of £4.99 . I thought it would arrive within a few weeks but it said more than 21 weeks so I cancelled and talked to an employer on the 19th and they issued a refund . It has now been 20 days and I have not received my refund. I received back my £4.99 delivery charge but no refund . I got sent an email a week ago saying 3 days from email I would receive refund ….. still nothing . I called 3 days ago they said they put it for urgent refund and yet again nothing . I WILL BE CALLING TRADING STANDARDS . THEY ARE THIEVES

Placed order on 19/4/20. Still waiting for completion of my order.What I have received has been damaged and of poor quality.Extremely annoyed at the lack of customer service and will never order from this company again.

To all future customers of T & M please do not entertain this site in any form they are absolutely terrible ,you order the plants and they arrive in a very bad state most were dying can't tell you what the rest of the plants were like as they never arrived !!! Try contacting them and you get no reply whatsoever 10-14 days they say it takes to reply HELLO WE ARE STILL WAITING . We have sent for a complete refund HELLO WE ARE STILL WAITING for that as well You have been warned !!!

Despite NUMEROUS emails I am still waiting for a refund . I am sorry but Covid19 cannot be blamed for the gross inefficiency of this company and their couldn't care less attitude. I would advise people if asked to avoid this company at all costs. Plants that did arrive in May were appalling and have still not flowered but no offer of refund for these just my cancelled order.

I placed an order on 26 May, with a despatch time of 21 days. By 3 July and still not having received my plants, I decided to cancel. As T & M are not taking phone calls, I emailed as requested, assuming that they would be checking emails daily. Unfortunately not. I have today received notification that my plants have been despatched, some 4 days AFTER I cancelled. I have bought quite a large number of plants and have always been very happy with the quality. Unfortunately, this is my first experience of having to deal with Customer Service and to say that I am appalled at the service received is an understatement. I have emailed again today to state that I will not accept these plants and have requested a reply to my email. However, given that earlier emails have been ignored I am not confident about receiving any communication.
