Absolutely appalled at a) the poor quality of plugs and b) delays in orders Repeated response, “we’ll respond in 72 hours”. Offered a refund but not to the value spent, no response when I queried the shortfall. First and last time ordering from this company.

My first purchase, 6 mixed courgettes, arrived broken, I called and was told they would replace, this has not happened. My second order 72 perennial plugs, dreadful condition will be lucky to get 20 plants from them. Will not purchase from them again.

Had a problem with every part of my order. Contacted customer services who replied fairly quickly and sorted it out. To be fair the last part of my order which was plug plants were half dead and broken so complained yet again and to be fair they refunded my money. To be honest not worth all the hassle.

Gave them two orders for plug plants.First one arrived 10 days after they said despached.Theywere so bad they were decomposing and slimyAfter contacting Paypal I quickly got a full refund. The second order only took a short time for delivery but the stems of the plug plants were about five or six inches long onto a small plug.ther was no way these plants were viable.and again a refund issued.I had previously sent them a photograph. They did not hesitate to issue the refund. Where is the Thompson and Morgan of old when they really were great to deal with.

I wish I'd have read the reviews before ordering!!! I've had the same problem. Plants in poor condition, no reply from emails. I'll never order from here again nor recommend them. Awaiting refund.

I ordered a buddleia. They had three chances to get my order right but three times I received a broken plant with broken stems under a pile of soil. It’s not rocket science. Plants in the post should be packed securely.

Spent almost 200 pounds on about 16 9 of which are potted shrubs and a bird feeder with all the feeds the Symphoricarpos shrub was suppose to come in 3 days as advertised 2 weeks passed no delivery or update had to chase it up by email to be told its coming mid June so I'm baisicly waiting 2 months for something advertised as coming in 3 days also ordered 5potted black thorn shrubs have dug up back garden and bought compost for these shrubs and now they won't be coming for another 2 weeks although advertised as being dispatched in 2 weeks so it has completely thrown my plans and I am absolutely disappointed in the service I find the website to be extremely misleading and they should better communication with their customers especially when they are paying hundreds of pounds im yet to see my bird feeders either who waits a month for a bird feeder absolutely ridiculous and to have orders so scattered coming miles apart from each other 🙄 never again

I ordered 72 begonia plugs, 72 geranium plugs and 30 trailing geranium jumbo plugs 3rd May, despatch said within 72 hours. I emailed several times chasing order and was told to add an additional 14 days grace to the order...what?! 72 geranium plugs were apparently despatched 7th May, via Royal Mail. They just arrived today, 14th May, fit for the compost bin. I had no idea where my begonia and other geraniums were until the day of delivery. The jumbo plugs were mixed up so no idea what colours they are until they flower and the begonia were absolute rubbish, although I've tried to pot on those which might stand a chance. I've asked to be refunded for the mini plugs, but they've set up another order for the begonia! I don't want them, I don't want to go through waiting for a delivery again, I want a refund so I can spend my cash elsewhere. Over £50 wasted! I have baskets waiting to be planted so I went to Lidl today and picked up some lovely trailing geranium, 6 for £3.99 I promise I will never buy from T&M again, so please don't send me a voucher as compensation. I placed an order in Feb 2021 for 72 Perennial Plug plants to be delivered End of March. I am still waiting for my order, despite contacting customer services and being asured I would have it by End of April. Then looking on the My order dection of their website estimated delivery date 25 April 2022. I also ordered 24 Aquiliga, delivery sent out 3 May, I got them 12 May, half were dead and the rest not worth planting. I am still waiitng for a response to my complaint, I sent photos of the atrocious plants if they could be called plants I will never use them again

Ordered two hydrangea plants, what eventually arrived were appalling. The packaging was smashed, the pots were broken, one plant had three bare twigs, the other had soggy roots that were disintegrating, and the leaves were drying out. They refused to honour their 100% satisfaction guarantee and told my husband that the plants would recover. I doubt it. Had I seen these pathetic specimens on a reduced shelf at a garden centre for 50p I wouldn't have bought them, the order was around £20 in total. Recently I have seen beautiful hydrangeas at both a well known discount store and at one of the top four supermarkets, beautiful healthy looking established plants for a lot less money in the long run. I will never buy from Thompson and Morgan again.

I just read the posted reviews, I was beginning to think I had the kiss of death. Bought a selection of seeds last year waste of time and money, so tried again this year, again a selection the usual suspects tomatoes, runner beans etc, out of two packets of scarlet emperor runner beans I got 6 seedlings, the seeds I bought from suttons have all germinated and doing well. Will take my business to sutton next year, list of seeds required already written.

I gave up on T&H some years ago after I began to find their seeds very unreliable as to germination. More recently I received plug plants from Suttons that were useless as they were dried and mostly shaken out of the tray - no packaging at all - see photo. I've recently discovered that several major gardening related companies, including these, are now owned by BVG - The two above plus Dobies, Van Meuwen, Garden gear, Organic Gardening Catalogue, Happy Breaks, Waltons Garden Buildings and Mercia Garden products. Prospective buyers are advised to check reviews of all the above before placing orders.

Have to agree with the comments below, dreadful company. I ordered 3 plants and paid via visa, but confirmatory email said I'd joined the gardening club for £10! I rang, complained and was refunded, so I reordered the plants. Visa statement arrived today and I've been charged twice for the plants, which I'm still waiting for, a month on, despite website saying immediately available. Foolishly placed an order for some shrubs, which were tiny and an insult for the price, they were rammed on top of each other and broken to pieces. Rang again and complained and was offered a refund on 2 and a replacement for the third (a lorapetalum). I was furious that I then found a lorapetalum at the local garden centre, x5 times bigger for half the price. I will never order anything from them again. Total rip off.

Think twice! They send tiny plants that you could grow quicker from seed
