“I ordered this last year (2019) and my box took about 6 months to arrive; I vowed never to buy it again. However, I heard they had a new shipping system, so I tried again. It came in a matter of weeks. Much improved! The one MAJOR criticism I have is the quantity of some of the treats. There were 5 treats in my box that were a quantity of 1. One gummy, one marshmallow treat, one grape soda gummy. Not even enough for my family to share and other subscription boxes I receive, at the same price, have much better quantities. They really plan for the family aspect. This box boasts a large amount of treats, but when you realize how small the portions are in some of them, the bang for your buck is disappointing, even more so, when you add the additional money for shipping in, which other subscriptions include.”

“Its a fun idea and some of the treats are interesting, but their customer service is horrible. The value is over priced though as most of the things can be purchased cheaper elsewhere.
If you miss cancelling your subscription you're on the hook for the entire cost. Even if you reach out immediately, they will not pro-rate a refund. What's worse is once you create an account with them, you can never delete the account. Your information is there forever. I'd leave a better review if only they had better service.”
“Shipping is quick. My package arrived A LOT sooner than expected. Prices seem reasonable for what is offered although the shipping cost may be a bit much at least they do a great job of it. Will continue to be subscribed to Tokyo treat!”

“First Tokyo Treat box, and it was great! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so a few weeks ago I was scouting for a snack box to subscribe to that would give me some spooky goodies. Iām glad I chose Tokyo Treat because all the snacks in the box were perfectly themed and tasted amazing. The only criticism I would give is that the butter beer ramune candy wasnāt up to par with the other premium snacks. Other than that, Iām excited for the November box!”
“Brought back memories of Japan. I was familiar with almost a the brands, but was happy to discover a couple of new ones too. Delivery was a day early. Only small complaint is that the KitKats were a bit meted, and one of the packages was dented.”

DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I HAVE BEEN IN A DISPUTE OVER A BOX I DID NOT RECEIVE BACK IN MAY. I PURCHASED THE INSURANCE AND EVERYTHING! FINALLY THEY AGREED IN SEPTEMBER TO GIVE ME CREDIT TO USE. I TRIED TO USE IT BUT IT DID NOT SHOW UP. MEANWHILE I HAD WHAT APPEARED TO BE A DOUBLE CHARGE FOR SHIPPING AND SO I QUESTIONED MY CARD COMPANY. THEY RECEIVE INFORMATION THAT THEY WERE 2 DIFFRENT TRANSACTIONS SO THEY DENIED THE REFUND, NO BIG DEAL.
NOW TOKYOTREAT IS REFUSING ANY CREDIT ON THE INSURED MISSING BOX! THEY SAID I HAVE TO DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY. THE PURCHASE FOR THE BOX WAS OVER A YEAR AGO AS A 12 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION WHICH MEANS THEY WONT ALLOW ME TO DESPUTE.
EVEN MOST OTHER BOXES HAD MELTED CHOCOLATE WHEN IT ARRIVED. DUE TO COVID WE DID NOT HAVE TRACKING AVALIABLE (WE PAID EXTRA FOR), INSURANCE NOT HONORED (PAID EXTRA FOR), AND HAD TO PAY EXTA EVERY MONTH FOR SHIPPING. RIP OFF COMPANY!”

“MAJOR FLAWS in Customer Service and Customer Portal. It seems they intentionally built a low-grade portal to prevent customers from easily accessing important subscription & payment information.
At NO GIVEN TIME in the previous weeks/days did this company have the courtesy to provide their customers the OPPORTUNITY to review their subscription renewal, especially when charging another 12-months ā and then to not consider some kind of refund is quite off-putting.
I was already charged extra for DHL services during COVID (though I had tried to decline), and did not complain about those charges.
Considering I replied within 24-hours of receiving payment confirmation of charges, I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service provided by this business.”
“Bad customer service! Rebilled for a box I did not want in March and I still have not received it despite over 20+ emails back and forth with customer service. Increasing shipping prices without approval from the customer and charging from free (in march) to 5.95 to 10.95 per box on top of the premium price. No help from customer service over 7 months and no desire to keep happy customers. Not worth the effort or the money as soon as anything goes wrong.”
“I got the premium box, it did not disappoint. There were items for everyone to enjoy. My favorite was the drink, this month it was creme brulee milk tea, delicious.”
