The glass can turn black for many reasons such as burning unseasoned wood, faulty airwash system, wood burning against the glass, not burning hot enough or poor draw. This is not because of the glass. For tips on cleaning wood stove glass check out our glass cleaning page https://www.woodstove-fireplaceglass.com/info/glass-cleaning Do not use stove cleaner as it will eat into the glass making it more difficult to clean over time.

“New glass arrived quickly, and was well packaged for safety. My only issue is that I also ordered gasket replacements, but they were the wrong size. I'm not sure if I just ordered the wrong product but it was not specified in the product description about the width of the gasket material. It was too wide, so I had to buy additional gasket material at a local shop.”
