They take your money. They then cancel because it is not available. They continue to advertise same room dates and price after they cancel. They disappoint people so much. It is not just me. Have a look across the internet at the number od people saying just what I am...AVOID! Xx

i have found travel republic extremely disappointing as i received a lot of stress on the way back home. Due to flight amendments, travel republic failed to change transfer times to suit our flight, which we have paid for. On the day of departure, we phoned travel republic several times and they have ensured us that shuttle bus time has been changed to suit our flight. However, after 1hrs 30mins of wait shuttle bus failed to arrive and unfortunately, we were forced to take a taxi to the airport. After speaking to travel republic about the mistake made by them, they have promised to refund the money within 14days that we paid for the taxi.we have been trying to contact them for the last 14 days, but no one would answer the phone. As a result, we have lost a large amount of money. I would not recommend Travel republic.

Avoid! Please. All ok until something needs attention when TR are exposed in having zero resource to help. Spend more on a more reputational agent. This is my first ever review as TR have ruined our family holiday this autumn and won't even call back with help. Desperate and saddening.

Charged 20% to cancel due Web error I been charged 20% of booking for cancellation which happened due to website freeze on wrong month on check out! Disgrace

Disney World Orlando 14 Day Ultimate Tickets advertised at "from £330" but no tickets were available on the site. We phoned Travel Republic to be repeatedly told this is a "from" price, although no date had the option to buy at £330. Misleading false advertising to draw people in. Beware!

Booked a hotel, only to find out with just over a week to go that the hotel had been overbooked. The alternative offered was not to the same rating / spec.

""I needed to extend my hotel reservation by one night and Travel Republic said I couldn't as I'd booked an non-refundable package. I explained that I wasn't after a refund I just need an extra nights stay but they were not interested and said there was nothing they could do . I contacted the hotel direct and booked an extra night with them without any problems and it was even cheaper per night than what Travel Republic had charged me. Will never use Travel Republic again.

""I have used Travel Republic many times previously and always felt confident booking with them. However, they have now introduced a £40 cancellation fee without informing customers and also refuse to price match if your booking is outside of the initial 24 hours. When you book for £1 deposit if you decide to cancel it costs £40 so stick with other companies like Booking.com who do not charge a cancellation fee. Our holiday to Benidorm was that much cheaper with Expedia even with the £40 cancellation fee we saved money. So beware booking holidays with this company. I will never book with them again and will be advising all my friends and family to look elsewhere.

First of all, I received an email from Travel Republic less than 24 hours before we were due to fly to Lanzarote to say that our hotel was overbooked and that we needed to change hotel which we accepted. Travel Republic changed our hotel to Occidental Lanzarote Mar in Costa Teguise. When we booked our original hotel we booked and payed for all inclusive and I was told by Travel Republic this new hotel would also be all inclusive considering that's what we paid for. WRONG!! when we arrived at Occidental Lanzarote Mar we were told that that we were only booked in for bed and breakfast, the hotel manager was the most rude and unhelpful woman I have ever dealt with and responded to this whole thing by saying this "was not her problem". I have never been so disappointed in a company and hotel in my life! After reading other reviews about both Travel Republic and Occidental Lanzarote Mar I have found I am not the only one who has encouraged problems similar to this. So word of advice to anyone looking to make a booking through either Travel Republic or Occidental Lanzarote Mar, don't do it !!!

I have been in the UK and travelling around Europe (>5 times a year) for the past 4 years and have not experienced anything like this before. In summary, worst travel experience ever and very poor follow up procedures post travel period. My partner and I we have decided to use Travel Republic to sort out all our arrangements as we would like to save the hassle and we have booked our trip to Hvar, Croatia. This was done 3 months in advance and notification of payments and travel reminders were given to us every month, before our trip. Upon arrival, we were denied checking because we weren't booked into the system. The whole process causes our wait for more than 3 hours and they weren't able to address this until 2 days after. We only manage to check in as a result of the hotel's gesture to address our frustration but was told a "full payment" will have to be credited in the form of deposit into my card but will be refunded until when the issue is rectified. After our trip, we wrote in and there was no solid/valid explanation as to why this happened despite bookings made months ago and that the issue (poor internet connection. what? whilst every other agent could book their guests and checked them in as scheduled?) could be resolve within the period prior to my travel. The response was very slow and it took them more than one month to send 2 replies. Travel republic made no attempt in addressing the unsatisfactory experience apart from being a messenger copy and pasting response from their local (Hvar) travel agent, which clearly, was avoiding taking responsibility for my incident. I have exhausted with options and based on my past experience, this is not how other travel agency would deal with cases/issues like this and have therefore decided to write down my honest and open review of my experience with them. I will not use them anymore and will be more sceptical with using agency/services as such for my future travels.

Refused to return money for not providing the service. Left us without prepaid in advance transport to airport, Were forced to take a taxi. Subsequently learned that Travel Republic act as an agent, they have placed booking with a supplier TI Travel (third part travel agent)

As a regular user and following several phone calls which may I add I was waiting over 10 minutes each time before getting an answer to complain about the site not been updated as you are supposed to be able to manage your holiday and check your status hotel, flight, and transfers are all coordinated properly and dates match etc. The only response I got to the lengthy wait on the phone is we are very busy sorry but so am I and don`t have time to waste When we got to our hotel on our last holiday the hotel could not trace our reservation luckily enough they were not too busy and gave us a room on production of our printed receipt We are fortunate enough not to have issues as bad as the reviews I have read to date but I have decided as a business person not to use this company due to the lack of professionalism in their customer service department Tony Dillon

hotel was cancelled less that 48 hours before trip. new hotel was offered at additional price. when we arrived at the hotel at 10pm on receptions we were told that there is no room for us and they can't help and offered room in a hotel which was £300 cheaper to book online. Despite all protest and room reservation confirmation on hand we had no choice and moved to another hotel. We had all inclusive board, but at new offered hotel there was no bar or restaurant and we have been told to go for meals and drinks to nearby hotel. Rep from travel republic called and raised ticket next day asking whether we prepared to stay where we are if discount received. For the next 7 days there was no news from rep and as expected he called 2 hours after we checked out to say that they can't offer any compensation. Ruined holidays. We are planning to file court case and report these cons. IF YOU LIKE TO PLAY LOTTERY THEN THIS IS THE PLACE.

Used this company for a trip to the costa brava. Below is a brief summary of what happens when things go wrong...basically, they pass the buck. I've also added this under Holiday taxis. both as bad to be honest. 8 weeks down the line and I've given up on them both. As can be seen from my profile I have traveled around a bit, during out my own arrangements without a probe, often using local transport. As I'm getting on in years I decided to take it easy and booked a shuttle from Girona to Lloret with this company on 3rd may 2017.'when we arrived the rep told us that there would not be a bus and that we should get a taxi and claim the cost of the transfer back from holiday taxis. We did and expected a simple process to get a refund. We had booked then through travel republic so contacted them and have the details. 1-hour later TR stated they had contacted holiday taxis and we would get a response in 28-days. We didn't. RE contacted them and have 14 days for a response still nothing. I contacted them myself and wss told they had no record of my complaint. 7 weeks down the line they have asked for a taxi receipt ( we shared one).. If they can't get something so basic sorted out God help anyone who had a serious problem I have emailed them myself and contacted them on Facebook. No response. They say you can tell how good a company is by its response when things gob wrong. This lot have failed miserably. Scandalous, I really would avoid this lot at all costs. Dear Mr Gale Thank you for your recent Complaint Form received on the 4th June 2017. I do apologise for the delay in providing a response. We do aim to please every customer and I am sorry that on this occasion you are not satisfied with your experience of booking through Travel Republic. Travel Republic is an online travel agent and acts as agent to various travel providers. In the case of your booking, the relevant travel provider was Holiday Taxis. I have relayed your concerns to Holiday Taxis and over the past few months we have tried our utmost to obtain a formal reply from them, regrettably we have been unable to obtain their comments and for this I do sincerely apologise. I note that Holiday Taxis have advised you that they are refunding the amount of £13.96. I have tried on several occasions to find out what this amount represents, however unfortunately I have been unsuccessful with this. I am happy to offer you this amount and I will continue to chase Holiday Taxis in order to find out this information. I would like to apologise on behalf of Holiday Taxis for the experience that you had whilst in Costa Brava, as I can appreciate this is not what you would wish for whilst on holiday. In view of the above comments I would like to offer you a payment of £13.96. This is offered by Travel Republic and on behalf of Holiday Taxis. I have therefore arranged for this amount to be refunded back in the same format you made payment under our PCI Compliance regulations. Please note that this may take up to 3-5 working days to be processed. As well as this I would be pleased to offer you a 10% discount voucher which can be redeemed against a future accommodation booking with Travel Republic within the next year. This has been posted to you today. I hope you will accept this with our compliments and it will go some way towards alleviating any feeling of discontent. We do hope that you are satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, however if you do wish to provide further written correspondence in response to the above comments, please click here. This will take you back to the complaints form where you can submit your further comments. In closing, I thank you for taking the time to contact us, and for bringing these important issues to our attention. Obviously not happy, this has been handled appallingly by both parties involved. I have now lost the will to live. let's just put it down to a lesson learned. In future I reckon I may be as well making my own travel arrangements. I will donate the refund to charity so that at least some good comes out of this whole sorry saga.

A vile company whose customer service is virtually none existent. They keep you on hold for ages hoping you will go away,show no concern for your problems,ignore emails,their customer service is absolutely disgusting, they over book,double book,lie about facilities,put you in reduced starred hotels without compensating you, basically keep well away from this shoddy unprofessional scammers who will dupe you without a care in the world. They are only after ONE THING, your hard earned cash & nothing else!

I literally cannot score this company any lower or I would. I booked a hotel to find it wasn't even located as advertised so requested this was changed. Olivia agreed to this and I called the next day to have this verbally confirmed that my booking would be amended and in 48 hours receive confirmation, I didn't receive this by the Monday so I called again to find I had been lied to, this wasn't done and the hotel I needed mo longer available. Toby, Callum and Lauren then each transferred me to someone else so as not to deal with this. Lauren even pretended to put me on hold and actually put me back into the call queue. After 1.5 hours and requesting to formally complain (to be told there was no complaints procedure) I asked to cancel my accomodation and I went to booking.com. I came back to Travel Republic and spoke to Marcel who amended my transfer telling me this would be at no further cost. Lo and behold the following day I receive an invoice for the transfer. Do not use this company. The staff have no customer service skills, there is no proper complaints procedure and the answer to everything is "I can't do that/I cannot guarantee anything/I can't advise (this one was from the sales team when I asked what alternatives where available). Absolute shambles. Booked the Four Seasons in Cairo through them. Received a confirmation email. The next day I get asked to call them as something went wrong. They've taken my money and now I'm sat here , in a busy roadside cafe in Cairo on hold to them. It's been 20 minutes and no answer. Never ever again. Avoid at all costs.
