“Very comfortable and in a central area for exploring york city only downside was no on site parking . So parking at the near be multi-storey was £17 a day so you need to factor that into your budget”

“rooms good, fan in there for the hot weather and flat sheet on the bed, quilt bagged up on top of shelf. Great location. Just looks very grubby outside, stained pavements etc, and the reception could do with a refurb. DO NOT WANT TO BE IN A HOTEL ROOM THAT HAS HAD DOGS IN. REALLY OBJECT TO YOUR POLICY ON DOGS. NOT EVEN LIMITED TO CERTAIN ROOMS ONLY EITHER.”

“The room was clean and comfy. Reception staff polite helpful and friendly. The bar was a different matter as we were told no dogs in the bar only to find a couple sitting in the bar with their dog. Dogs were about the same size. Surely on rule on all! Hence only 4 stars”

“Stayed one night, we checked in late (about 11pm) and noticed that when using the sink there was no hot water. Didn't do anything about it as it was so late. The next morning, when we wanted to use the shower there was still no hot water. It wasn't just running cold, the hot tap in the sink and shower weren't running at all!! Went to complain and no-one on reception. Wanted to complain on check out but still noone on reception, so phoned as we were driving home, the lady said she would take a look and phone back, but we've heard nothing!”
