“Low level hotel perfectly situated for town centre n riverside”

“Enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed with clean linen and good pillows. Spotless shower room and lovely clean towels. We stayed with our dog and although the room was basic the most important things were covered, i.e. bed and bath. We enjoyed our evening meal in the cafe/restaurant. The hotel is in need of a little TLC in some areas. Staff friendly and helpful.”

“The booking experience was terrible! I was supposed to pay with Eurocard. At first the system refused to approve the Norwegian Post number after many attempts, then suddenly this worked. But then the system refused and approved the name on the eurcard. I never managed to do that, on several browsers. There is clear potential for improvement. Perhaps it is that Norway is not important in the system, or that the system lacks key information about Norway? Norwegian letters can also be a problem, as I have Å in my name. I ended up having to set up the card with Paypal. Then I finally got paid for the room. But this took several hours, and a lot of frustration! Far from acceptable, given that I was going to travel often.”

“Always go to Travelodge, while we are touring round seeing our favourite bands or shows, it always clean cheap and comfortable, and the staff are very helpful.”

“Hotel itself was great. However, the new policy of rooms only being cleaned once every 7 days, if you stay longer than a night is a no go for me. We were two ladies on a London trip in a heatwave. We could get new towels, but the damp ones piled on the bathroom floor. Bin in the bathroom was not emptied and depending on what you need to throw in there, you can imagine that's not always pleasant. Added to this we had a huge collection of empty bottles. I guess this is the result of Brexit and not enough cleaning staff, but this is not the way to go about it with Customers staying for more than one or two nights.”

“The Travelodge was excellent and in a perfect location. Very clean and close to public transport. One member of staff, CJ, was particularly excellent and she deserves a pay rise! She was very kind when I wasn't feeling very well one morning in the reception area and went beyond expected service.”
