Was a little dubious about the trustworthyness of TrustPilot after being directed to gasp in awe at a business energy/telecoms provider's amazing TrustPilot rating.... which contrasted greatly to their very poor rating on Google. My brief experiences with them suggested that Google's ratings were to be trusted and TrustPilot's were to be taken with several handfuls of salt. I had previously trusted TP's reviews but after this experience and reading some of these reviews I now understand the business model better and won't bother with TP's heavily filtered reviews.

Trustpilot is a scam, they charge businesses thousands of pounds a year for the privilege of allowing customer reviews on their website, that is why they protect "these paying businesses" and ensure that any honest feedback, that may be negative, removed in order to protect their own profits, how can anyone trust a review company that is structured in this way?

I will never do a Trustpilot review. Because, I put a very accurate review on a bad company and they blocked it. This company is a scam and their reviews should not be trusted.

Fast Software has an amazing Trustpilot rating, which convinced me to use it. But it sells software activation links that don't work, has an automated phoneline & chatbot designed to get you nowhere, so cannot be contacted. Don't rely on Trustpilot.

They remove opinions without any explanation. Looks like their goal is to pump up ratings for their payig customers. Won't trust anything I find on their website.

I have pointed out to trustpilot twice companies manipulating their system. Huge and obvious spamming to make these terrible businesses with multiple closed accounts or companies with multiple trading names that have exactly the same issues on both. Trust pilot assured me they take it seriously, however, nothing done. And this is where I see that if you’re a business and pay them for the advanced features, you can obviously get away with anything. So unfortunately, Trustpilot is not to be trusted! When I came on this page, it even warned me in a pop-up that some of the reviews have been made by trustpilot employees! So not sure if that’s employees trying to whistle blow, or spam this review site! Either way, Trustpilot is not to be trusted, which is a huge shame.

I left a legitimate positive review for My Heritage, a very good genealogy site and Trustpilot said it had been "flagged" for some unknown and undisclosed reason and decided not to publish it. My advice is to steer clear of this site, Trustpilot.

My reviews of a company, Jean-Patrique, which has taken my money, not delivered the goods I ordered and not provided a refund have somehow been deemed not suitable to be published. It makes a bit of a mockery of the whole thing doesn't it really? I will never trust anything I see on Trustpilot again. I suggest that you don't either.

For the second time of trying to write a review you're NOT letting me do so. What's the point? What the hell are you doing? I have an email and a password so WHY are my reviews not being posted - or are they just too tough for your sensitive eyes - I thought you appreciated the truth but obviously not!!! which means you are of NO USE to anyone!

posted a negative review about a company that had ripped me off, then trustpilot removed the review & wont reinstate it, or answer any questions regarding why they have hidden the review.

Rubbish Rating system. get 5x 5 star reviews and don't move up any points. Get 1x 1 star review and your score moves down.

Never have I seen so many fake reviews, so obviously fake and so conveniently timed, and so obviously written by the company getting the bad reviews. If a company decides to claim their listing, and pay these fraudsters, then any review that they don't like is eventually removed. One company who gets one or two reviews a month always seems to get 2-3 comments after a detailed bad review praising them and 'responding to the complaint' As if anyone is stupid enough to believe that 3 different unique individuals will all post conveniently just after the bad review, and attak the bad review in such a childish and obvious way. I as company would never list my business on any review site. They should be closed for mass fraud. And locked up

Can't say I'm impressed with trustpilot. I posted a negative review of a company that is clearly a scammers, lots of folk losing money, this can be seen from dozens of previous reviews and they removed them as unsubstantiated. What nonsense. Isn't this the whole point of this site? Who's pocket are you in?

I have seen on my own experience how they help businesses to report and remove bad reviews any time, despite you can send them contractually evidences. I have witnessed that with regards to several reviewers on the same company profile. Dont trust their reviews.

I lodged a bad review about an organisation called Hire a Hacker who I had contacted to get some location and other details on a company who scammed me. They put me in touch with a crowd operating as Derfcon Hub who took my money but delivered absolutely nothing and refused to honour their refund promises. Hire a Hacker did not assist me at all and simply ignored my emails, after their initial response, so I concluded that this was all a complete scam. Trust Pilot contacted me about my bad review on Hire a Hacker and Defcon Hub and said that they would not publish my review as it was not substantiated, even though I sent them copies of all of the relevant email correspondence. They only have positive reviews on Hire a Hacker, so I now doubt their independence as they seem to be protecting them. I used to trust their reviews but will now no longer use them.
