“Trustpilot has collusion with some of suppliers and any adverse review is removed by them by harassing a reviewer by asking them to provide all documents, invoices etc. Even after providing them they find some reason to remove. When asked about consistency of their process to ask for purchase proof etc for 'good/excellent' ratings they chose not to reply. I would rather not see review than looking at the dishonest reviews of Trustpilot”

“Quite simply cannot be trusted. When one of the worst cold calling mobile companies can get a 4.7 review you know there is something well wrong. This company is a paying customer so can flag and remove negative reviews while hundreds of suspect positive reviews stant.”

“Trustpilot works a little like mob insurance... their strong SEO performance and open platform allows anyone to leave reviews. So competitors use it for "negative PR". Trustpilot have no intention of fixing this as it allows them to sell their platform to potiental clients. The subtext is clear "we will not review malicious and slanderous reviews until you start paying for the service" or they encourage you drown-out the bogus reviews by encouraging geniune customers to start using their platform, rather than a platform you use that only asks genuine customers to provide reviews.”

“Trust Pilot (TP) are unethical. To explain, I had a series of skin peels at a skin clinic in London, which left me with dark pigmentation marks all over my face. I wrote a review about it, which trust pilot deleted. After doing some research about this clinic, I discovered that other people were also complaining about the same thing, but these bad reviews were being suppressed on the larger platforms. Tbh it's only a matter of time before TP goes away, because this practice of supporting bad businesses by deleting the bad reviews isn't going to end well.”

“I have tried to contact customer services at the email thames water have given and both times after putting in a great deal of detail it has come back NO REPLY. Does anyone know how you contact them other than facebook or twitter?”

“Contacted them thousand times, because whenever I posted a review after an hour they send me email our software has removed it. When I contact them back, they don't reply. They're handling their reviews & getting paid from big companies to show five stars because when I've posted one star review they removed it.”

“Deleted my genuine bad review. Strangely enough other people were leaving multiple positive reviews , Trustpilot cannot be trusted and can easily be manipulated by dodgy companies to look like a trustworthy company.”

“Persistently delete negative reviews (for their paid subscribers) so reviews are not representative. Same for their trust box widget which shows selected reviews so again totally useless if you want to see a representative sample of reviews. Why anybody would use this site I have no idea.”

“Trustpilot is the most fraudulent reviews platform. They allow persons who are not customers of a company to review. In my instance they allowed a person who was never a customer of my business to review. When we requested further details there was nothing provided. Steer clear, no legitimate proceses in place.”

“I have used Trustpilot to give a review. They just let the review be removed because they think my case is not real, based on nothing! So any bad reviews first need to be proven 'real' by a commercial receipt?? That is ridiculous!”

“I used to use and respect TrustPilot, but just of late I've had experience of them removing reviews for no other reason than that they give a company a bad rating. They send you an e-mail saying that they have reason to believe the review is not genuine and to please get in touch if you want to discuss it. However if you do then get in touch they immediately clam up and refuse point blank to discuss it. They will repeatedly send you one of several form letters saying that they can't discuss it for security reasons (which is nonsense), but won't engage with any evidence that the review is genuine. What the financial relationship is between them and the companies whose overall ratings they thus improve one can only speculate, but it means that they themselves forfeit any claim to be trustworthy.”
