I've used tyres on the drive for years, but not now, after replacing all 4 tyres recently, the guy ripped out our TPMS and didn't put a new valve in, causing us to have low pressure, flat tyre and eventually a puncture, I had to pay 2 weeks later for another new tyre, I rang and tried to explain to the customer complaints, Id have got more sense from my 1 year old Grandson and now its just failed the MOT, so now I have NO car, as I have NO MOT, great. Please dont use!!

In all honesty, I panicked post placing my order for my tyre fitting with “Halfords Tyres on the Drive” after reading absolute horror stories on this review website... I can confirm that, in my instance, - I am not speaking for everyone - that these are far from true, & not to be put off! I am Glasgow based & booked/paid for one new tyre to be fitted at my home with next-day fitting, & an “anytime appointment.” I received an email at 08:00 the following fitting morning (as it states in the booking instructions) notifying me of my allocated time slot for my fitting. Following this, all was well - the fitter turned up; fitted my tyre perfectly for me within 15 minutes, no hassle or issues or excuses; very kind & punctual; most of all, done a great job. No damages or marks to my vehicle or tyre either! Sadly, I didn’t manage to catch his name but I would happily deal with him again :-). Also cheap tyres, but this actually doesn’t mean cheap quality. This was NOT too good to be true for me. The only reason for 4/5/the missing star is because my time slot was 11:30-15:30 but, the fitter turned up at 09:30 with no phone call or text for pre-warning. However, this was fine as I was home to deal with it anyways & the earlier the job is dealt with, the better too! Brilliant service from Halfords which I recommend & would use again!

Disgusted with this company. Visit was ordered by my breakdown unit, I paid on the spot only to be phoned by a woman, who would seem absolutely stupid and without knowledge asking me was it an approved tyre I wanted. I sent a photo of the markings on my tyre only to be told she needed the whole tyre. I contacted Breakdown again who thought it all didn’t make sense and they would not be recommending them again.I still do not see the refund on my statement. Appalling customer service.

I had this company out to fit a new tyre they were professional did the job but they are very expensive to which there are very reputable company’s that are cheaper was charged twice aswell which was a bit inconvenient how ever there was 2 different prices why I don’t know cause it was the same job but they took the most and left the other one pending which is a bit confusing to why they were different charges for the same thing

Really expedient and flexible service. All fine except for tyre balancing, which pretty much didn't happen. Have had to take both wheels to my usual garage for rebalancing. Other then that a good service

Paid extra to book a time slot from 4-8pm because I knew I wouldn’t be in until then. Guy kept calling from 12.30 telling me I need to come back cause he’s here to fit it. Got kinda pissy with me. I ended up coming home early and he wasn’t even here, someone else came about 7 and wasn’t the guy that had been calling me all afternoon. Don’t know why you sell time slots if the guy just comes when he wants. Service was fine in the end but kinda runined my afternoon.

Paid up front for a puncture repair with replacement tyre (just in case). With guaranteed refund of unused service within 5-7 days Good communication and arrived on time, puncture repaired all good up to this point. However it’s now been 15 days and still no refined. No response (other than automated ) to email. 30 min wait on phone and still not answered. I would recommend only go for either or of these services or you will be out of pocket for a considerable amount of time.

Don't assume that when you pay for your chosen 2 hour slot that it means the job will be done within that time period. Turns out it's only when they expect to turn up and make a start on the work, so if you need to be somewhere using your nice new tyres you could well be scuppered. This is not made clear at all. My fitter missed the slot completely and ended up delaying me by almost an hour. He was polite and got the job done. Let down by the poor logistics.

This site was recommended to me but just be careful when you order tyres with a short lead time, I.e. 24 hours over the weekend; quote from their call site representative "the fitting date on the website is when we have availability to fit your tyres, it's not linked to whether we have that particular tyre in stock". I was offered an inferior tyre (in terms of wet and economy rating) or a tyre nearly twice the cost, with no possibility of movement on price for the inconvenience. The alternative was to wait another 48 hours for the tyres to be fitted...not an option in my case. In my experience with this company I would say choose a site that can honour the sale and not ones that does not know how to effectively match availability of two types of resources... The the whole thing was a total waste of time.

Absolute joke of a company! Booked a tyre change for Tuesday paid £18 for a slot between 8am-8pm phoned up twice and was left on hold for over 20mins each time without managing to get through to anyone and in the end the tyre fitter never showed up no warning or nothing. I'm self employed so I lost a day's pay for nothing. Phoned up the next morning and spoke to someone who quite frankly sounded like they couldn't care less. Told me she'd rearrange the booking for the next day between 6pm-8pm. And imagine my surprise the tyre fitting failed to show up again! No warning or anything!! This company is an absolute joke don't waste your time and money!! If I could give them 0 stars I would.

TOOK AN AMBULANCE OFF THE ROAD!! Booked a tyre to be fitted on an ambulance response car - got a text to call them the day of fitting… to be told we had a website error and they didn’t order the tyre from the supplier. Asked if they could fit a different brand of tyre - only to get told “we don’t hold any tyres at our hub” “If you want a refund it’s 3-5 working days” “We don’t know what other tyres we have - you will have to go-online and look and try and rebook but it won’t be today! Just dreadful service from a critical industry.

Tyres delivered and fitted, but afterwards I noticed the tyres supplied were not the ones I ordered? Halfords didn't contact me to check if I agreed to different tyres being supplied, but simply changed the order. Now I'm stuck with them, - my old tyres have gone, I've got to use the car for work so Halfords will use that to say I've accepted the tyres, and when I complained, they offered £20 discount for the inconvenience. How can a company breach consumer law and then basically say, your stuck with it, there's nothing we can do.

AVOID. I had a new tyre fitted as i thought it was a slow puncture. It turns out the valve was buckled and they did not even fit a new one when the tire was replaced. I am so angry, waste on time and money.

Had a tyre fitting booked between 12-4 Sunday but didn’t turn up. They tried to call at 8:15am but i missed the call, tried to call them back but phone line closed all day (even though message said it was open 10-4) Waited in all day and they really let me down and now I can’t get to work tonight. Didn’t even try to call me again to tell me so I could sort something else out. They did manage to send an invoice at 4pm saying job complete and take the money though!! Still no call 1 day later and now called them on hold trying to get money back as I to get an emergency tyre fitting and paid much more as needed it quick. Why take orders if you can't fill them and why only try to call customer once at 8:15 and then close your phone lines.

Although the technician turned up on the scheduled day, he only replaced one tyre (I paid for 2). He said I’d be refunded however it’s a week later and I have not heard anything from Halfords/Tyres on the Drive. They’ve marked my order as “complete” and the phone line is impossible. My emails are unanswered too.

Just awful. First the confirmation email didn't turn up. (Money already taken quickly!) There are also no tracking details available. So I had to ring them to get that sent out. (tried emailing first - no response). Then on the day (Monday)my tyres supposed to be done (8-12 slot - I get a phone call to say my tyres didn't turn up at the garage so they can't be done today, and rearranged for 10 - 12 Wednesday 27th (basically it's11.54, no show so far, and can't get hold of anyone at customer care). Shoddy. Avoid.

Booked an all day Saturday slot and waited patiently. Had received several emails and texts confirming but nobody showed up. Tried calling support line (based outside uk) and after 6 goes at 5-15 minutes on hold the line would drop as soon as anyone tried to take my call. Eventually spoke to 3 different people who all promised I would get tyres done that day. Finally at 6pm with no sign of anyone I called again and helpful chap offered to call Birmingham hub. He came back to tell me manager he spoke to said tyres out of stock. When I pushed him to ask why nobody called me he said I was never on schedule list for that day anyway. Absolute shambles of a company and I would say to anyone do not trust this business. I asked for a call back from manager and guess what……nobody has contacted me. Avoid at all costs

Appalling company. Quite happy to take your money and then ignore you. Not possible to track order in any way and not possible to speak to anyone online. A few years ago the service was not too bad but now I would avoid at all costs. They are clearly not interested in providing a quality service or building a reputable brand.

Just like all other companies that have anything to do with car services - con artists. If you require a repair it’s purposely made complicated so the technician can not bring a repair kit and then you have to have a new tyre. It’s then blamed on a technical issue where really they know they are highly unliking going to be turned away for not having a repair kit and know they will get away with putting a new tyre on the car. Repair kits should surely be a basic stock item on the van? Make a complaint - no one gets back to you via phone or email. It seems that customer support do follow your complaint up but do not tell you anything about it. Instead it’s multiple phone calls and then you have to then explain it to the garage/hub where it’s your word against a technician. So you’re dammed from the start. It’s all lies and then you are accused of being a liar. I’ve shown photos of the screw in my tyre to different companies and it seems the repair could have been carried out. But instead I’ve had to fork out for a new tyre. I used tyres on the drive multiple times over the years. Without any issues, thinking paying a premium for the services may make a difference. But this experience has put me off. I’d say go else where but everywhere is the same……
