“Their agents tell you all sorts of good things until you get the policy and find out what they said was free isn't. And your excess is £450 but when the policy shows up its £2000 . I think the FSA would have something to say about lying to customers. They still charge a fee when you cancel their misquote too. And say it takes 30 days to get a refund. Avoid this company and you will save a lot of money and grief.”

“VERY unethical insurer. I received an insurance quote from these cowboys online, it was significantly cheaper than any other insurer so I decided to take out the policy. After much messing around and a VERY protracted phone call these guys eventually suggested my policy should actually be around £200 MORE than quoted. I said I was going elsewhere and they subsequently changed their tune and agreed the initial fee. Since then i've received an email from them stating that my paperwork isn't in order (despite me sending them everything they requested) so, presumably, for this period, had I had an accident I presume they would have refused to pay out.. Ultimately I think they are so bad i am probably going to put this matter in the hands of the insurance ombudsmen as they very much feel like cowboys..”

“A very unprofessional company. To add my husband onto a policy which already has myself and 2 learner drivers was going to cost an additional £270. When I told them I am going to the insurers they have underwritten, they said nothing. Avoid at all costs. They took my £75 and told me they would process my refund in the next 30 working days. When I asked where the £75 comes from, they said in the T'c and C's. They come up on Compare the market. Be wary!!!”

“Absolutely rubbish insurance company, sent in the documents on the very first day of the policy start date and they sent me a cancellation notice without even checking if they have received the documents. I have never experienced this kind of unprofessional behaviour in 24 years of driving or with any other insurance company. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone”

“Totally disappointing , I paid for my insurance to be activated on a Saturday when I made the payment they said they would only activate after confirming some data during the week ! I managed to talk to them only on Friday 6 days later I was very poorly attended and asked for a refund that has been 15 days and has not returned to my account and I have no explanation!! Detail I was charged £75 to cancel a service that was never activated! I'll take it to court”

“Avoid at all costs. Conmen. They wanted nearly £300 to change car to a smaller engined, equal valued car. Now they have asked for over £290 to cancel the policy, as apposed to the admin fee normal insurance companies charge.”

“Not an insurance company they’re brokers! They took £250 deposit off me last Tuesday and cancelled my policy today saying I had a policy with them, but according to AskMID the car wasn’t showing on the database, now they’re taking £125 off my deposit, beware avoid at all costs, don’t let these disgusting thieves rob your money, pay the extra and get insured by proper companies, they shouldn’t be allowed on comparative websites, AVOID AT ALL COSTS PLEASE”

“I had a claim made against me and the insurance Company(u-drive) failedto notify myself about said claim. Also renewal insurance was over £3295 a year!! Absolutely will not insured again with u drive.”

“Unauthorised payments taken by a Trainee. This isn’t a service I would ever use again and the “only Kiana in U Drive Cover” was sarcastic, obnoxious and put the phone down on me as she was unable to resolve my situation. Disgusting treatment.”

“shocking customer care when you discuss leaving. Asked to cancel 5months early and they are with holding £550. and are even charging £75 to cancel. Greedy rubbish company.”

“I'll be going straight to the Ombudsman, I would advise against engaging the services of this particular broker, as my personal experience with them has been rather unfavourable. Regrettably, they have not only failed to uphold professional standards but have also engaged in unscrupulous practices that resulted in a substantial financial loss on my part. Moreover, their claim of providing insurance coverage during the period when the insurance company was allegedly preparing the necessary documentation turned out to be deceitful and baseless. Furthermore, I must express my disappointment with the telephone agent's unprofessional behaviour, as they consistently addressed me as "mate." Such conduct is entirely unacceptable. Overall, I find these actions to be a glaring display of incompetence and disregard for ethical business practices.”

“Absolute shower, couldn't add people, never got back to me with queries, ended up cancelling the policy and then they calculated the refund incorrectly and charged us more money! Money grabbing shower! Do not use. Insurance is based on trust, evidently not this company! Avoid!!!!!!”

“I took new policy 3 weeks before my old policy expired as I was going away. 19 days before my policy started, I contacted Dodgy u drive and cancelled my policy and they have charged me £75 for what???? It's understandable if my new policy started it hadn't still had 2 weeks before it started and they charged me £75 for what??? I am taking this further spoken to a solicitor, as charging £75 for policy not started is not appropriate. I would advise everyone to stay clear of dodgy Udrive.”

“Avoid at all cost this so called Company will rip you off I cancelled my insurance then they said I need to pay the whole year off = I don't think so I've looked at over 100 reviews of the u drive and all say the same thing , all they want is your money they don't care in any way shape or form they will lie and manipulate you in any way to get the money absolutly disgraceful I hate this company”

“CAVEAT EMPTOR - BUYER BEWARE Wow ! How does this company manage to remain in business with so many negative reviews on- line. I guess it shows just how people don’t review a company prior to buying with them. I fell victim to them and I cancelled as soon as I reviewed this company which I did as something just didn’t feel right about the process of buying car insurance with them. They ‘call back to validate’ your details within 24/48 hours, where they then up your price ! When you cancel, bang £75 cancellation fee even prior to insurance starting. Needless to say for a 15 minute mistake it cost me £75 for the pleasure of removing them from my life and …from what I’ve read, I got off lightly If you haven’t already purchased a policy, read the reviews on line on Google review summary”
