“Everything was working OK in my new home for 9 months, until my gas metre stopped sending its balance signal.
3 weeks on its still like this.
I've phoned, emailed, tried utilita s own links.... left my phone number in emails...... NOBODY GOT BACK TO ME AFTER 4 WEEKS OF TRYING NOW AND MY PROBLEM IS STILL ONGOING.
IVE MADE 9 ATTEMPTS TO NO AVAIL.
THIS IS EXTREMELY POOR AND A NEGLECTING CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.”
“Utilita are utterly dreadful to deal with, very difficult to contact them by phone or email. it takes a long time to get through, you get someone with an asian accent that is hard to understand and then they hang up on you. No other company in any other business could get away with it. Countless emails and phone calls and the problem still has not been sorted out. All energy firms customer services need a complete overhaul.”
“sorry to say but i have had all the same problems that a lot have had, they are dam right rude and do not care about your circumstances, they also rip you off with the tariff, we have disability problems and should have been placed on economy 7, we were told we are already on the lowest tariff, 8 years down the line its not the case, nor do i like talking to someone who i cant understand, its like phoning a SCAM centre in mumbai, in the words of anne widdecombe, were OFF.”
“The most rubbish company ever. I was left with my over 70 years old mum with medical issue for 2 days with no gas. Every time I called they said, the technical team will call you or they just hang up the phone on me. They never called and I had to keep chasing them. A real nightmare. NEVER SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY”
“I wouldn’t even give Utilita a 1 star I’ve been put in an iligal contract that I did not sign up for or even seen the agreement I was with sse to begin with and one day in 2018 I got home and the gas and electricity supply was off to find out I had been switched over to Utilita I have tried to leave this company and the keep rejecting the request to switch providers the are financially crippling me I have been topping up with £20 every 2 days they have also taken 20% of every payment and also said I’m in debt I hope everyone is aware there are legal actions you can take and have their meters removed once you have their meters removed you can the contact any provider and have their meters installed you are only paying for rental of the meter when the meters are only £44 brand new”

“Topped up our meter £80. The money left the bank, nothing was put onto our meter. Spent 2 days with no heating with our 1 year old as we didn’t want to go into the minus. Then spent hours trying to speak to a Human about this. The only way I got through was by saying I was leaving. Already got a new supplier. Utilita are a joke.”
“I am a vulnerable customer as I have long COVID and suffer anxiety. I am unable to speak to anyone at Utilita, and the problem is worsening. Utilita are not putting the £66 government help onto my account unless I contact them, I suspect that they are keeping hold of the cumulative "pot of government money" paid for by taxpayers, to accumulate interest, which is disgraceful and should be investigated by the energy Ombudsman.”

CAN NEVER GET THROUGH AND HOURS AND HOURS ON THE PHONE. WHEN YOU GET THROUGH CALL HANDLERS ARE IN AFRICA AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING. RECENTLY TOLD VOUCHERS WOULD BE SENT.......AFTER WEEKS WAITING 2 ARRIVED ONLY TO BE TOLD BY THE SHOP WHEN TOPPING UP THAT THEY HAD BEEN CANCELLED!!!!!!!
