Just like thousands of other people, I moved house in November and have been waiting for the return of my £400 credit. You can’t call them or talk to them, they promise to pay within 10 days, they send emails telling you it’s been sent to finance for payment but nothing ever materialises! These people are crooks and basically stealing money. It can’t be much longer before they go out of business.

I have closed the account with Utility Point following the death of my father and subsequent sale of his house. Customer After Service is non existent and trying to get back the £106 that they owe me is proving impossible, even though their £30 closure charge per service was soon enough deducted from what they owe to his estate. I cannot recommend them as a service provider.

Hi, I've an overdeduction of £568 and the reason is estimate vs actual reading. I've sent an analysis based on my current contract charges and rates. and Instead of a getting a response on my actual query they have replied on furture rates and the date when I joined. They completely ignore my overpayment query. UP sent an office in Spet 18 and since then my meter reading has gone up by 4x-15x. I've been waiting on call for 44+ minutes and then the call was disconnected. I am planning to go FInancial ombudsman to make them aware of this. Just because you guys have access to my DD that doesn't mean you can deduct any amount from my account. You should charge on the basis of units consume. My house hold members have reduced from 5 to 3 and meter reading post officer visit have gone 10x. - 09/02/21 Had a call with there rep. and now they are trapping me in engineer charges if the fault is not proven. Obviosuly, the fault will not be proven because the company that tempered my meter will never going to accept there is a fault. In oct 18 visit your specific purpose to send someone was that my meter reading was low.I was with Npower for 4 years they never sent anyone to audit meter reading. and since that guy visited my electricity usage per day has gone up from 31kw to 133kw. They have already stolen the money from my account and now they want to blackmail further that if I renew my contract only then the review of prior bills will take place. Also if you don't trust your customer why don't install smart meters or build an app that upload pictures of the meters rather than sending your enigneer to temper customer's meter. If I stay then they overcharge if I don't they want review prior bills.. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS. THEY OFFER THE CHEAPES UNIT RATE BUT YOU WILL END UP PAY 5x more. Meter readings for other customers to see after the visit in oct 18: Date Reading Monthly 07/02/2021 23408 2713 17/10/2020 20695 1156 22/08/2020 19539 3484 11/04/2020 16055 779 16/01/2020 15276 3215 30/09/2019 12061 1284 22/04/2019 10777 1493 13/01/2019 9284 1026 07/11/2018 8258 289 07/10/2018 7969 232 09/09/2018 7737 237 10/08/2018 7500 243 08/07/2018 7257 354 10/06/2018 6903 0

Like another reviewer I also partly blame ‘Look After my Bills’ for ending up with this horror show of a company. Took over the wrong electricity supply putting me onto a standard tariff with my previous supplier, who I couldn’t sign up to something cheaper as I was meant to have already switched. This lasted 2 months. So two months of standard rates. £££ Eventually gave up and decided to switch to a more reputable company. They took over the gas and electricity with no issues and had a termination accepted email from Utility point. This was in July. Been receiving emails from them for months, thought it was sales, but actually looked at this months one and it’s a statement. Claiming I owe over £200. That figure has been increasing slowly every month since the ‘termination.’ They actually have the audacity to charge for electricity, something they never supplied. To go back to ‘Look After My Bills.’ When I approached them, they couldn’t care and said it was between me and my supplier. A supplier they signed me up to. Surely there must be more regulation to an auto switching company, who people are trusting.

As many others have said, AVOID THIS COMPANY! I tried to switch to another supplier and they refused saying there was an outstanding balance on our account, even though we are on a direct debit. You can rarely get hold of their contact centre, and if you do, they promise to call you back and never do. They are hopeless.

I changed provider away from utility point in November 2020 . They owe me my outstanding balance of £211.25 . Still not refunded 3 months later . All I get is an automated e mail responce to my request of refund. An no answer on the telephone. Feel this company have robbed me , leaving a very bad taste . Please avoid unless your happy throwing money away. I hold the company “ look after my Bills”partially responsible as they changed me to utility point and then away from them , supposedly saving me money , but all they have done is cost me more 😡 ( that will be another review )

HOW TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. IF THEY DO NOT PLAY BALL AND REDUCE YOUR DD TO A REALISTIC AMOUNT, OR/AND REFUND YOUR CREDIT BALANCE. CANCELL YOUR DD AND RECOVER YOUR MONEY THAT WAY. I started with Utility Point in May 2019, my dual fuel DD payments, based on previous years power usage, after higher DD's I argued and it reduced to £54.17 for a 2 months, then it rocketed to £130.99 without any warning. I wrote and argued about this but they never replied. Over the next 6 months my account with them had a credit balance approaching £300. After many warnings without response I cancelled my DD and watched my credit balance diminish. Decide what you want to do when the balance is reduced to nil!

3 months after changing suppliers i am still waiting for my refund. I was originally told it would take 10 working days, it is now 28 working days and they said they can't tell me how longnit will take. I have taken to social media but because they didn't like the honesty of my post it has been deleted and I have been blocked. Terrible service

I am about to report them. My son who is 16 years old with SEN was talked into a contract. My son sent an email for them to cancel. They sent an email back stating there would be no cancellation. If this is not cancelled and monies refunded, I shall be reporting them to the ombudsman !!! Scammers

Left the service 4 months ago with nearly £300 credit on my account due to being overcharged each month. Still chasing up today to try and get my money refunded but have been told that they're struggling to make payments due to COVID? They never had any issues collecting payments from me so seems like a very convenient excuse! Avoid at all costs.

Used the 'Look After My Bills' website to find the best and most cost efficient way to potentially change energy supplier. Was paying £112 via EDF for dual supply .. imagine my delight when Look After My Bills said gas and electricity supply via Utility Point was only £69 a month !! .... lovely ..for 3 months ... now I realise due to Covid19 we're all using more energy at home ..but I was more than disappointed to see my new DD at £154 a month ?? ...wth?? Outrageous .. wish I'd never bothered ... and will start today the arduous task of arguing this..

Dreadful company -- perfectly fine while supplying gas and electricity, but the moment I switched to another company, they have withheld the £245.59 overpaid (taken by them via direct debit) and it has been two months trying to get it back, so far without success. Simply breathtaking that such theft can be allowed to carry on unchallenged. Do not switch to this company.
