i left utility point on the 7th September 2020 and the still have not refunded the £120 i was in credit. it is 21 November i have sent numerous emails with one reply saying it will arrive in 10 working days then another saying it will be an extra 3 to 5 working days and after 8 days i am still waiting. i will never use this company again.

The company should not be allowed to take on new customer's, until they have resolved all there problems for the customer's they have a present. They may be going bankrupt, they do not want to know if you are massively in Credit.

Prices were good, hence the one star. After six months they increased the direct debit even though the account was over £250 in credit. Promise to reduce it did not happen so I cancelled the DD and started the process of switching to another supplier. Supplied meter readings to new supplier and Utility Point on changeover date; new supplier acknowledged and set up account whereas Utility Point ignored the readings and carried on billing me using estimated readings. Fortunately, I have used up all my credit balance and actually owe them a small amount. I refuse to telephone and be kept waiting so I use email and receive auto-reply promising to get back to me in 3 to 5 days but they don't. I have had many different energy suppliers over the years but this is the only one ever to be a problem. If you are thinking of switching to Utility Point then DON'T!

Agree with all the bad comments about this company. They are awful. I switched away from them 32 days ago and they are still holding £160 of my money because they have been overcharging me through the year. They are supposed to refund within 28 days. Can't get through on the phone. Don't use this company!!

I dont even want to give them 1 star, If i could give less i would, do not join this company. They ask you to provide meter readings monthly to make your bills as accurate as possible, my direct debit started at £70 went up to £168, realised they cost a fortune once my contact was up, i let my direct debit come out and phoned to pay the remaining balance they advised they don't take your direct debits into account for remaining balance only future balance making it completely impossible to leave. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY - i wish i read the reviews....

Impossible to swap to another supplier. Impossible to log on. Over 45mins to so called customer services and still not answered. A useless company. Do not use them. Awful from the start and desperately trying to end the nightmare with them but it’s taken over a month. Help!!!

If I could give a nil star review I would. Do not touch this shoddy company. Only been with them since June 2018 started on £71.00 DDM and now increased to over £250 even though account is £462.32 in credit which they refuse to give back. They never answer calls and likewise with emails. DO NOT GO WITH THEM! I have paid over £800 in direct debits since June that's not right.

They can't process refunds as they have too many to do. I had been with Utility point for 12 months and was building up a large balance on my account. I asked for a refund (£300) and was told it would be 8 weeks! So I arranged to leave them & go to another supplier. Within minutes, I was telephoned and persuaded to stay and that they would process my refund - Still nothing. While it may be in their terms of business, this is causing me concern that they persuade you to stay and still keep holding on to your money. I called just now and was told nothing could be done to speed up the refund. I sad that I would take to social media to spread the word but that made no difference. I will not be staying with them next time -

The worst utility company I have ever had to deal with. They do not like my Gmail address its the only one I got. If I phone you have to wait 40mins. At nearly 70 years they want me to crawl on gravel for a reading. Last time I looked it is not smart anymore.

Don't get in credit with this company as you will be fighting a losing battle trying to get it back. I asked for a refund of my credit and was told it could take 2 months. Explained I needed it to pay an emergency bill, and renewed my contract with them, but they did nothing to help except keep telling me it will take up to 60 days to do a 2 minute refund. Asked for complaints procedure, was told in so many words that it wasn't worth complaining as I will just get told the same thing that I will have to wait, so basically don't bother. Appalling treatment of customers. Cheapest supplier but for a reason. Avoid.

This company is clearly going down the toilet. They switched our electricity only supply to Neon Reef on 5th Feb 21 - promised to refund credit balance to bank account in telephone call last week. After querying why they are still raising bills on UP account, they have today emailed to say the credit has been sent over to Neon Reef - IT’S NOT YOUR MONEY TO SEND!!!! Atrocious customer service, they don’t even acknowledge when a complaint is made. Will be escalating complaint to the Energy Ombudsman at 8 week point as they are keeping ££££££s of customer’s money (bad enough at any point, but during a pandemic when many people are struggling is horrendous). Just ridiculous the way they are treating people. Their directors should be locked up.

Evil company. Supplied a new house I moved into and blocked transfer to my supplier 4 times based on nefarious claims about being in arrears. Impossible to get hold of and just want to keep you against your will. Avoid at all costs

After switching supplier December 2020 I have been waiting for a refund of over £300. Despite several email exchanges and empty promises the refund has still not been made. So many complaints have been lodged against this company I have doubts about it's viability.

Hi, I've an overdeduction of £568 and the reason is estimate vs actual reading. I've sent an analysis based on my current contract charges and rates. and Instead of a getting a response on my actual query they have replied on furture rates and the date when I joined. They completely ignore my overpayment query. UP sent an office in Spet 18 and since then my meter reading has gone up by 4x-15x. I've been waiting on call for 44+ minutes and then the call was disconnected. I am planning to go FInancial ombudsman to make them aware of this. Just because you guys have access to my DD that doesn't mean you can deduct any amount from my account. You should charge on the basis of units consume. My house hold members have reduced from 5 to 3 and meter reading post officer visit have gone 10x. - 09/02/21 Had a call with there rep. and now they are trapping me in engineer charges if the fault is not proven. Obviosuly, the fault will not be proven because the company that tempered my meter will never going to accept there is a fault. In oct 18 visit your specific purpose to send someone was that my meter reading was low.I was with Npower for 4 years they never sent anyone to audit meter reading. and since that guy visited my electricity usage per day has gone up from 31kw to 133kw. They have already stolen the money from my account and now they want to blackmail further that if I renew my contract only then the review of prior bills will take place. Also if you don't trust your customer why don't install smart meters or build an app that upload pictures of the meters rather than sending your enigneer to temper customer's meter. If I stay then they overcharge if I don't they want review prior bills.. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS. THEY OFFER THE CHEAPES UNIT RATE BUT YOU WILL END UP PAY 5x more. Meter readings for other customers to see after the visit in oct 18: Date Reading Monthly 07/02/2021 23408 2713 17/10/2020 20695 1156 22/08/2020 19539 3484 11/04/2020 16055 779 16/01/2020 15276 3215 30/09/2019 12061 1284 22/04/2019 10777 1493 13/01/2019 9284 1026 07/11/2018 8258 289 07/10/2018 7969 232 09/09/2018 7737 237 10/08/2018 7500 243 08/07/2018 7257 354 10/06/2018 6903 0

I changed provider away from utility point in November 2020 . They owe me my outstanding balance of £211.25 . Still not refunded 3 months later . All I get is an automated e mail responce to my request of refund. An no answer on the telephone. Feel this company have robbed me , leaving a very bad taste . Please avoid unless your happy throwing money away. I hold the company “ look after my Bills”partially responsible as they changed me to utility point and then away from them , supposedly saving me money , but all they have done is cost me more 😡 ( that will be another review )

I changed suppliers in October, still through utility point, and am still waiting for the £300 odd pound refund that is due to me through overpayment to the last supplier. Dreadful customer service and they are leaving me with no option but to pursue my money through the small claims court.
