Underhanded tactics to regularly take money FORCING you to buy from them. Luckily I used Paypal and cancelled they "automatic" payment, filled a dispute, Paypal agreed, closed the case in my favour and got my money back. Two fingers to the CEO of Virgin Wines. Not 6-8 months of fighting to get the money back like others.

Ordered case of champagne and paid for day delivery. I was then emailed to say I had to sign for the delivery. I waited in all day then was informed the wine would arrive the next day when I wasn't in. They cancelled delivery and now I'm over £400 down to be reimbursed in 5 days. What a bunch of time wasters.

I bought a case of wine for a friend to say thank you back in January as a one-off to be delivered to their home. I have just realised that they have been charging £25 on my credit card every month since. I did not sign up or agree to any membership plan. They have set it as a default and purposely made it unclear on their website. Having spoken to the pompous manager, he was unhelpful and unprofessional and thinks it is OK for Virgin Wines to trick and mislead their customers. I did not receive any notification of being signed up to a wine club and no emails from them at all since my purchase back in January and yet still proceed to take my money for 8 months! This is deceitful and a con and have reported to the consumer watchdog. I will never use Virgin Wines again!

I ordered a case of virgin wine on the back of a voucher I received when I purchased a Russell hobbs blender - For some reason VIRGIN WINES have used my credit card details and processed another order and delivered ANOTHER case of wine to my house

Very poor customer service, lots of promises but no action. My order was sent to the wrong address. I informed Virgin Wines of their mistake, to which they were extremely apologetic, but six days later, I'm still waiting for my order. Terrible service, poor customer experience, as left feeling disappointed, and dissatisfied.. Would not recommend!

Let’s see. You fall for the attractive time limited offer on the printed cards you receive with Amazon packages. Seems a good deal, yes? Oh no. You’re part of the customer churn from the oh so clever CEO/CMO. You’re just a disposable asset now. Virginwines may get lucky and keep you as a subscribed wine club member. So what’s wrong with that? Monthly payments, so if you forget or don’t order often they build up. No problem though you can get a refund if you can get passed the “give us another try” customer services. You also get bombarded with texts and emails, temping offers for over priced wine. Worst of all? You’d be lucky to get your delivery. Delays, damages, lost boxes you name it. No problem, customer services can help. Nope, they haven’t a clue what’s going on. Support your local wine merchant, they’re knowledgeable and need the business.

Nasty metallic wine. Very low quality, and not worth the money.

I ordered a box of wine as a one off purchase as a birthday gift a few months ago. I’ve just looked at my bank account and they’ve taken £121 out without my knowledge, I never ordered any more wine as it was poor wine and poor value. The money taken from my account was set aside for a mortgage payment which is now unpaid thanks to this lot. Virgin Wines are really Direct Wines, I’m going to seek advice and maybe get it in the papers.

Virgin Wines Be very very careful what you click on on their slick website. I just had £25 take out of my account because I signed up for their WINE BANK. I didn’t agree to that. The £25 is set as a default. And I didn’t agree to that either. I can see I’m going to have a battle to get my money back. What is it the say a fool and his money is easily parted. Nice one Virgin Wines I didn’t see that one coming.

Do not sign up for Virgin wines with an introductory offer . Voucher clearly states you are not obliged to buy more wine but when you activate voucher it actually signs you up for their winebank . Nowhere does it state this in there terms and conditions so it is a deceptive way of locking people into a contract . Please note Bottom terms on this voucher which clearly states you are not obliged to buy more wine but what actually happens is you are enrolled into their wine club which means you contributing a regular ‘monthly savings plan’ to put towards purchasing wine . Very deceptive .

Wong orders arrive all the time! I’ve been a wine bank member for several years now. It was great at first, some really nice wines and orders all no problem. Over that last year my wife and I have regularly had the wrong wines delivered, damaged orders and finally today a completely different box to what I ordered. I know people make mistakes but something is wrong at Virgin Wines! Their solution was to ask me what they could do to fix the problem. Now I have to solve the issue for them? What I really want them to give me is trust, but every order that arrives now I honestly don’t know what’s going to be in it. So what I want they can’t give me. Goodbye Virgin Wines!

My son ordered a case of 12 expensive reds. Half of what arrived included 6 not-so-expensive whites. One start is one too many

I ordered wines to give to clients on the 22 August, 2021, this is 4-weeks ago now, I have followed this up twice and again today via email. Still, no wines/ products have been received. I have provided correspondence in my first follow up from the carrier that no products were received, I was told by Virgin wines that this is a mistake and they are on their way. This was not the case 2 weeks ago and nothing has been received still. I paid for this product and have had extremely bad customer service and poor follow up and am sick of getting the runaround. Please be careful when ordering online and follow up your order as I don't want anyone to be in my position with having paid money out, but o=nothing received and no adequate follow-up or resolution.

Conned into the 25 pounds a month payment, continued to order as it was difficult to cancel. At last it is now cancelled and I do not need to drink their poor quality wines again.

I thought I was simply signing up for a discounted box of wine and signed up so I could get discounted wines in future. Did not know that they would be taking £25 a month for absolutely nothing. I can go to my local shop when I want and get good discounts. I cancelled my account and requested a refund. They have quickly done that which is the only plus.
