Vodafone's digital assistant Toby is a complete joke and timewaster. It is basically impossible to get through to a human being and talk to someone. I keep being told I have a balance outstanding, then I paid it in the shop and Vodafone still say I owe them money. I then phone up and am told I have an outstanding balance of zero and must pay it. Is this a phone company or a rerun of Monty Python ? Can't wait to leave Vodafone as soon as possible.

The correspondence is appalling.Trying to sort out a contract at its end is an absolute nightmare. By law you need to contact people about the end of their contract. There was no correspondence by email until I cancelled my debit order, by then I owed more money and still had to give a months notice which now puts me more into debt! It takes 10 days to tell if you have paid off monies owed and then to cancel contract only AFTER the ten days. By then you owe more money and puts you more into debt. Other mobile companies you just cancel with one phone call!! This is pure extortion ! My family members have been with you for 5 years but will be cancelling their contract too.

I haven't been in this situation before Vodafone is really bad service provider "home broadband". I've been out of service for two weeks so far And the customer service they don't do anything about it the only thing they say we working on it when you ask to speak to a manager they hug the phone on you very terrible service I don't recommend anyone to join them.

My experience is very similar to the negative reviews below. I have been trying to get my Vodafone broadband to work for several months now. I wish I had gone with a different provider. Each time they promise to fix it and each time (idiotically) I believe them. On each occasion it seems that a new problem arises: first the router was not delivered (their delivery person had a faulty machine apparently), then the router did not work, then they unilaterally cancelled my contract, then (after promising to accelerate the process) I restarted with them and again the router was not delivered on time, when it arrived it did not work, they promised to send an engineer, and AGAIN they unilaterally cancelled the contract. Now I have (stupidly) given them one more chance and it is no surprise to me that they stopped communicating with me. I have no idea whether an engineer is going to come and assist. They repeatedly promise callbacks or calls and do not follow through. They have often repeated advice on fixing the router that did not work the first time (and unfortunately they are very bad at keeping track of the advice they have given to date). I would try any other provider.

Stay away - this company is the worst broadband company I have ever had the misfortune of being involved with. I switched providers once my contract was finished and went through a trade transfer so the new company Plusnet asked for Vodafone’s permission to take over the line and therefore cancel their supply. Vodafone agreed to this everything was cancelled and paid for, so new broadband and home phone number. Then Vodafone kept sending out bills saying we owed them money for a service they were not providing us. In short called then 8 times and had to talk to them for over 6 hours - every time they apologise and say it is sorted but then it just happens again. Then they have the audacity to threaten a £99 fine for not returning their router, although it doesn’t say anything in their terms and conditions

This is the first review I have ever written as I have never felt so passionately about warning people of the disasters ahead should they choose Vodafone. I bought a new phone and contract 7 days ago. Since then I have spent 6-7hrs in their stores and 2-3hrs on their online help trying to make it work, and subsequently trying to cancel the order and retrieve my original phone number on a working SIM. This has still not been achieved and I received the usual 'it might take up to 24hrs to resolve so come back tomorrow'. They've fobbed me off with that 6 times now. I have been without my phone number for 7 days, including for the whole of Xmas. They are truly hopeless. They breached the contract (as confirmed by Citizen's Advice) and have failed to restore my original situation on return of the product. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Have wasted enough of our day with Vodafone to go into too much detail, suffice to say all was ok until we had a problem with our phone, which was still under warranty. Must've spoken to 6 different departments and was finally told to phone the store. Rudest lady ever there (cwmbran store) was so bad we decided we would rather pay £80 excess and claim through insurance than deal any further with any of them. AVOID

I decided to switch to Vodafone from 3. The switch was supposed to happen over three days ago. I signed a contract 9 days ago. I have a business account. My phone number has been disconnected and is not active at all. I keep contacting Vodafone and they're doing nothing. My customers cannot contact me. They must think I closed my business. This is a joke!

Continuing poor call quality. Came to a head when I needed emergency help through the NHS 111 service and neither th operator nor the pharmacy could understand me due to pathetic call quality. Complained to Vodaphone but they want to charge me £287 pounds to cancel my contract which ends mid year anyway. Pathetic way to do business. Going back to EE!

Despite being with Vodafone for 15 years! i feel these days i am being taken more and more advantage of. I've recommended family and friends to them in the past only for those people to encounter issues such as Vodafone not apply a child data limit which racked up a huge bill for one friend despite this being set up in a store! It took hours of arguing on the phone to resolve this. Then the same happened to me despite having a data limit set up! I was happy to use some data but the bill racked up with no warnings. I recently upgraded to an S9 then 2 months later a deal has come out £12.00 cheaper for new customers??? Despite this Vodafone will not drop my price to match the new customers offer which i feel is really harsh. NO LOYALTY TO LONG TERM CUSTOMERS!!! I will be looking around now as i have heard plenty of good things elsewhere and nothing but being taken for granted by VODAFONE!

Vodafone used to be good many years ago but have now become very bad. i had my pay as you go number given to another customer after just under 3 months of having the sim card it then said limited service and could not be used . many phone calls later and they stopped me from going through to the complaints department. i have now made a complaint with Ofcom . i would avoid Vodafone and i will never recommend it to anyone anymore

Vodafone sent me a phone 6 days after I cancelled the order twice. The manager of the customer complaints team was extremely rude and lied to me about a conversation he hadn't had with the customer returns team. I think you need to audit your complaints team Vodafone and listen to the recorded conversations. My experience of Sky customer service has been fantastic.

This company is unbelievable, there customer service is beyond useless, you get passed around with nobody having a clue with your issues, they say they will ring back and never do, I even went to a store to see if I could sort my issues and was told basically no!! I have stopped my DD and they still don’t contact you, frustrated is an understatement

Worst experience so far in the UK. Unprofessional customer service, no communication when asking for managers. Money has been taken from third party companies through vodafone that I have never heard of or signed up for. This just shows how much they care for their customers. Never had a problem with these kind of situations. Very disappointed in Vodafone.
