“I have a series of Raspberry PIs that perform a variety of functions. I previously tried a variety of approaches to use a PI as input to a Sonos system without much luck. I then found Volumio and it works like a charm. I strongly recommend Volumio and odd as this may sound - it seems only fair to pay the small subscription fee for the excellent product and support.”

“Simple download and set up process … clear set up instructions meant I was up and running with a Pi Zero W 2 in no time. I also added an audio hat which was instantly recognised and working. The inclusion of plugins to add further functionality just increases the usefulness and although some are paid for, after using the software for I week, I think I will be supporting this project and going for the subscription based option to get the tidal integration.”

“Great app. Works well with Tidal And Spotify. Radios are nice extra. I have some troubles with adding songs to favorites and save playlists. Bluesound which I used before was a bit more intuitive but Volumio still works really good.”

“I was using squeezbox for a long time and as streaming of Spotify or Tidal is not working well with Squeezebox I decided to establish a Volumio setup. First I built a volumio setup with a raspi and a hifiberry digi+. The sound was pretty good and usability was also very good. But I was facing some problems with stability. Every now and then I had drop outs and sometimes it stopped without a visible reason. I had to restart the session. Every now and then it doesn't respond any more. I had to unplug power supply to reboot the whole thing. Thought it was a raspi problem therefore I decided to buy the Primo. But the problems are still there. I run Volumio for more than one year, but now I'm testing the roon setup. After 3 days I am really enthusistic with it. Concept and usability is much better and by now I didn't face any stability problems.”

“I use a RPI 3b+ and an IQaudio dac+ which sounds brilliant through my 100w 2.1 amplifier. I use a USB hub which i can access my mp3's mp4's without any problem whatsoever.”
