“First installation worked well. No issues at all. Decided to change as card in my pi and reinstalled volumino is on to a new one. And everything broke. I logged into my account however new volumio setup would not recognize it. So after spending few hours trying to make it work I just simply said EF it and installed something better.”

“I love the idea to have an OS for only music...no overhead... just functions which you need. I would give 5 Stars, but I had really trouble to get my optical output to work. This could be a little bit better. But overall I am very happy.”

“The software is very buggy and unfriendly. One must start a new search to change the search criteria. I found piCorePlay much more intuitive and bug-free. Sorry!”

“Confusing, immature and unattractive user interface. Its flexibility and modularity are neat but if you don't need a player -- if for example you plan to use Roon or Spotify as your user interface -- I think RoPiee is a much better option.”

“Very nice piece of software. I have used Volumio for more than two years. Volumio does exactly what I need - plays music. Managing music collection with Volumio UI is very easy if all files are consistently tagged. I have my music collection on local USB drive, but playing music from NAS and various streaming services is also possible. A lot of extra functionality is possible with plugins.”

“Scheduled appt for 8:00 am to have bugged version replaced came and went without any contact from Volumio.Appears to be little sense in making an appt between 2 parties if only 1 shows up at the meeting.This has been an ongoing issue with inability to update version for over a month now.Thought maybe this was a different minded company but appears not.”

“Too expensive and no option to buy the software voor about 200 dollar. I hate to pay gor software each month so i would love to see the option of buying a lifetime licence. App keeps crashing on my phone but once it is streaming, is sounds great. Other than that? It’s looking nice and works nicely”

“A lot of basic functions are hidden behind a subscription service. Even things that really shouldn't require it. I'd overlook the sluggishness of the experience if it was the only thing, but to pay to get these extra functions while everything remains so sluggish is a bit too much for me. I went back to using the equally terrible Denon Remote App. It's also slow, but at least it has better functionality.”
