“Very pleased with Volumio, is a robust product that continues to provide musical enjoyment daily. The sound quality is amazing through a capable usb DAC. Downloading and installing was fast and easy onto my Asus Tinker Board.”

“Constant sound crackling with Allo Digione & RPi 4 (4Gb) (No matter hi-res or standard resolution). Song indexing still too slow. From time to time loses entire library of my NAS. After listening fav.radio stations freezes over and over.Restart needed. Could you please fix that?”

“4.5 Stars. Quick responsive system on my Volumio Primo. The only caveat is that sometimes the iPad application freezes and you have to restart volumio on the iPad (hence 1/2 star is missing). My recommendation to the iPad programme developer is that the back button should always be visible in the menu to support easier browsing through larger libraries. Sayin that I like Volumio and Primo experience that makes listening to the music enjoyable.”

“Reliability with the current version is very very poor. Pre v3, things worked well enough (Although seeking past what is buffered does not work). But v3 is very broken. Specifically, it crashes often requiring a restart & loses connection to Tidal Connect while you are playing. I look forward to the issues with v3 being resolved, as Volumio is brilliant, when it is working.”

“I've been using the free version for two weeks now on a Pi2B with HifiBerry DAC+ with no issues. My favorite radio station .113FM Hits played for a few days and then suddenly it wouldn't no more. Consistency is the name of the game Volumio, fix this or be prepared to lose potential upgraders.”

“At first: I use Volumio in that version, coming with the miniDSP SHD STUDIO. The advertisement said, that I contains a licens for Volumio Premium, that means, the support for CD drive rip&play. So I bought the HiFi ROSE RSA780, the only USB drive on the market, dedicated to audio reproduction. Misfortunately the RSA780 wasn‘t recognized under Volumio SHD. And the plugin CD Sound by Nanomesher isn‘t listest there. The people from miniDSP can‘t explain, why. I have updated the old Volumio version on a RasPi3b, wich convinced me, to buy the SHD with Volumio, but now under the Thors release, the CD plugin by Nanomesher is dissapeared. Now I‘m confused, how to mary the SHD Volumio and the ROSE RSA780, which would, of cause, be a splendid couple. Best regards Martin”

“Briefly tried to see what Volumio is. I have tried with free membership, and was very glad with the product. Spotify works fine, both connect and browing app. I was happy with the gapless playback which works pretty well RPi 2, whose hardware is pretty weak. The only shortcoming is that Volunio does not read and sort songs as per tracks number. I noticed that playing music from Windows music library. I know that the issue is with Volumio, since all other platforms such as Kodi or BubbleUPnP read and sort songs properly. I believe this is something that developers can resolve easily. Otherwise highly recommended.”

“In the past i loved Volumio for being such a competent app. However, I am giving it 3-stars for now as i noticed the latest version doesnt work as flawlessly as in the past. I use it primarily for Spotify and NAS but when i dont stay inside the app it will no longer be able to show the Spotify related information anymore after a while. Volumio will be unable to reconnect to Spotify, it seems. I had to resort to multiple re-starts of the app or the ultimate would be to logout and then login again to Spotify. I dont recall it being so in the past versions. I have re-installed the app several times but to no avail. Due to this, i have to use another streamer which does not have this same issue.”
