“Hope the next update will solve the Tidal bug. I use Volumio from beta 3, it works fine with Virtuoso account. But it failed recently with latest update.”

“I have a virtuoso annual plan. After updating to volumio 3 the system does not recognize my subscription. Tidal connect is not working. Very disappointing.”

“Until now was using Volumio 2 and was excellent. After the last update to volumio 3 vilumio is useless. It freezes after 2 to 4 songs. It won't respond and won't play songs. When i make a restart it plays again and after some songs the same happens. I installed again volumio 2 and everything is fine. Volumio 3 update is not working for me and i am sure is software problem. I hope it will be fixed soon.”

“After installing Volumio3, a well-functioning player is almost useless! -The touch screen control is completely reversed. It was at the top and the top was at the bottom. After the second installation, the touch screen became completely insensitive !! -Additional functions have been completely eliminated, including non-automatic start after switching on !! I thought these plugins were integrated, but unfortunately not. The user should be informed that this will no longer be possible or limited during the upgrade !? Why aren't they officially given the option to downgrade even temporarily ??? I would love to send you a 2.7 .... Rasberry IMG file !! However, the playback quality has improved :)! Congratulations! “I installed Volumio 3.173 on Virtual Box 6.1 and it works like a charm. My hardware is AsRock Silver Pentium j5005 SBC (Single Board Computer) with 16 GB of RAM and a fast SSD. I really love the Manifest skin of Volumio and the fact it contains less greenies than the before ones. I come from Tidal part of the audio world and black/green means for me Spotify = non loseless sound. When I see green, I think poor quality. In Manifest only traces of green remained. I do use external DAC on Wolfson 8740 chip and in Windows 10 -> Settings -> System -> Sound -> Advanced sound settings I was able to dedicate my DAC output especially for Volumio on virtual machine. Works perfect, much more stable and faster than the Volumio 2 in similar config. All the best for hard working team in Volumio :)”

“I use Volumio Primo with Roon and after updating to version 3 the system is ustable. During last week at least a few times my Roon could not find Volumio and I had to reboot it.”

“Had this working nicely with V2. Now the plugins I was using have disappeared, so simple things like autoplay and gpio control are no longer supported yet. Haven't noticed much difference in the overall performance, but going back to the older version until useful plugins become available.”

“Wohaa. The new Volumio 3 is so much more responsive after some hiccups when updating. That alone is the best asset to Volumio 3. Highly recommended!! tip: don't forget to reconnect your RPi to your ethernet once after the update to get everything up and running again.”

“Really want to love this device, but the UI is limited. Need a way to filter results for big libraries. Why can’t I view my Qobuz artists by alpha instead of date added?too many restarts.”

“I am using Volumio for many years and I am really happy with it. I use it on three devices (Raspberry Pi 4 with Hifiberry DAC connected to amplifier and the Pi connected to LAN cable). With Volumio I listen to Spotify premium, Internet radio stations and my own music library from a Synology NAS. Volumio works perfectly for me, and I like the really nice browser-based user interface. Setup is easy. You just have to flash the SD card, power it up, open the user interface in a browser and do some basic configuration like selecting the DAC. Spotify setup is easy, too. You just install the plug-ins for Spotify and Spotify Connect and enter the account details. Spotify is actively maintained with frequent software updates. This is a big advantage compared to buying a Internet receiver box from some audio manufacturer where you rarely get updates after some years.”

“The set up was ( very ) difficult especially for the HiFi edition because the lifetime password was placed in a very un-intuitive place. But once set up the system works very well and I’m very please with the sound quality! There should also be a SMALL LED light so we know whether the set is on or off.”
