“I bought Alpha bumper plates, dumbbells, bars, and storage. Both quality and price were very good, and represented the best value I could get for reasonable cost. Love having good equipment, it makes working out easier and therefore less of a chore. Took them a long time to fill my order due to the steel shortage. But if you're looking for the best value, they're it.”

“Recently received my Vulcan Curl Bar. Purchased alongside a 500# set of Vulcan Alpha V2.0 plates and received an additional 5% discount on the bar, plus free shipping. Not that I can curl 400#, but the longer loadable sleeve (Olympic style inner hub) is a nice feature as it brings the weight in closer than the comparable Rogue bar at $195 (plus shipping). Plus, the needle bearing (while a bit more "loose" and noisy than Rogue's bronze bushing) offers smooth, effortless spin during movement. Knurl is light, but coupled with the black oxide finish and the damn perfect camber/alignment of the bar offers plenty of grip and all but eliminates the fatigue common on curl bars. 50mm sleeves means no oddball collars, and the bar feels well-balanced when loaded. At $140 shipped (and less if purchased as part of a bar/plate combo), this is a no-brainer. Box arrived damaged with a few nicks to the bar, and although not Vulcan's fault, Vulcan's customer service was top-notch in remedying the situation. Look forward to my next purchase.”

“Just received my 500# set of Alpha V2.0 plates. The photos and positive reviews do not do these plates justice. I was skeptical about the colors, but they are tasteful and easily recognizable. I debated heavily between these plates and the likes from Rogue, American Barbell, Fringe Sport, Rep Fitness and dare I say . . . Titan. Although thicker than a training or competition plate (but thinner than a "crumb" or other bumper plate), the lack of a center hub to come loose, the tight tolerance, dead bounce and $/lb (especially when considering the free shipping) offer a value that simply cannot be beat. Plus, they look unique without being obnoxious, and next to no odor, which is a real plus. Well done, Vulcan. I am so pleased that I am going to add another 500#. My only complaint is the production sticker adhered to the inner hub is a PITA, but can appreciate that it does not adhere well to the plate, so the hub is the only option.”
