I purchased a set of Competition Olympic Bar Collars from the company. The product was delivered in a beat-up box that looked like it came directly from overseas. Each 5.5lb collar was covered with a single little bubble wrap bag. There were no real issues with the first collar, which worked smoothly and as intended. However, the tightening handle of the second collar was rusted into place. This was not what I expected from a $100+ competition collar. After using a mallet to free the handle, I had to use my bench grinder/buffer to polish off all of the rust and corrosion so that the handle could slide back and forth as intended. Once this was complete and I could use the collar, I found another issue that is a bit irritating. The locking handle, when fully tightened to the bar, ends up parallel to the bar itself. This causes the change plates to sit at an angle and every time the bar is dropped, the handle pushes the plates a little farther to the outside of the bar. I am using a very popular IWF Certified “Euro Bar”. This is not what I was expecting for $120 collars, but I took a chance and can live with that. The main issue I have is that I took pictures and wrote an email explaining this via their contact form on their website, and not a single reply has been sent in return. I completely understand that products can have issues, which can be resolved. However, I am disappointed with the lack of response from the company. I hope that the company can address these issues and improve their customer service in the future

Very POOR description of the equipment they sell. Be aware if you buy and read all the specifications and make sure you go to Google and convert the metric into inches like they told me I should have done. Know I have DBs that don’t fit a standard commercial gym DB rack. There suggestion “ buy a new rack from us” Last penny they will ever get from me.

Thank you so much for your feedback Michael. We truly appreciate that you took the time to let us know about your experience. We are sorry that you weren't aware of the handle length specification listed on the product page and were unable to make the conversion from metrics to inches. Most exercise equipment specifications will be listed in metrics to be exact, as fitment may depend on a few millimeters or less. We understand how frustrating it is to realize that all dumbells will not fit all dumbbell racks. Please reach out to us at vulcan@vulcanstrength.com so that we may further assist you.

If there is ANY chance you will need to return or exchange an item purchased, DO NOT do business with this company. They have terrible customer service. It is impossible to reach a live person. All calls to the customer service line rolled to a recording that referred me to their website to complete a return authorization form to get the RA# required to return and exchange my weight training belt. That was 12/30/22. On 01/04/23 I received this review form to complete, which I put aside pending the successful completion of my return/exchange. On 01/12/23, I followed up on my RA as I had not heard anything from the company. As of today, 01/16/23, I still have not heard anything. My purchase was a weight belt that was a Christmas gift to my son. It appears that I may be out of the cost of this belt, and my son is without the gift he wanted.

I bought the new adjustable decline to incline. The unit wasn't packaged very well so a lot of the paint was damaged. Also the photographs on the website look like they're injected molded like the rollers actually are but they are not. They are inexpensive pads and I expected more for such a expensive product. I contacted the company and explained all this and the person was just argumentative. Disappointed

I will absolutely never purchase from this company again. To that point, I will ensure that anyone who is even thinking about buying weights or strength training equipment, that they buy it literally from anywhere but here.

Bought a bench and it will not sit flat no matter what we've tried. It has a significant wobble to it and is unsafe to use in our personal training studio. I own four gyms in Columbia, SC and won't be purchasing equipment from Vulcan again. I also bought a Kraaken light and currently trying to sell second-hand after having it for one week. It's unsafe to get on and off of. We've had two clients get hurt using it. The design is simpy terrible.

Hi Jason, Thank you for your feedback. We have spoken to you about your specific concerns with the Kraaken. We haven't received this feedback from any other users and the Kraaken is used in many gyms (Commercial and Home) without issue. It seems there is no malfunction with the item and it's a case of members not knowing how to perform the exercises on the apparatus. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the Coach or Gym Owner to ensure that the members know how to mount and operate the equipment properly and safely. GHR Raises/extensions and Reverse Hypers are complicated movements that require instruction and a certain basal level of strength and coordination. Ultimately, the Kraaken may not have been the best choice for your specific application. This is the first report we are hearing from you in regards to the bench. Please provide further information so we can assist with that. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

Vulcan Strength is refusing to pay for marketing services completed. I've contacted them numerous times but haven't heard anything back. Given the number of poor customer service complaints, I'd hate to know how many people they've ripped off. The return they received from the marketing far outweighed the costs of it. Unbelievable for a company of this size.

After carefully reviewing my options, I purchased Vulcan Strength J-Hooks to fit a 3x3 (1" holes) rack that I purchased secondhand. I was well aware that these are "not guaranteed to fit any non VULCAN racks" and that there is a restocking fee for returned orders, and I decided it was worth the risk. I placed my order on 7/8/2021 (#56321, verify it). On 7/12/2021, I received an email stating: "We do not have a history of you owning a Vulcan Rack/Rig therefore we are canceling and refunding this order because the attachment will not fit your current set-up. This will avoid the lengthy return process. Our Vulcan attachments are only compatible with Vulcan Racks/Rigs." It's strange how it changed from "not guaranteed to fit" to "WILL NOT FIT your current set-up" - as if they know what my current set-up is. For all they know, my secondhand rack could be Vulcan-made. And there are other reviews which indicate that customers were able to purchase and use these and other attachments on non-Vulcan racks without Vulcan canceling their orders, so I don't know why mine was singled out. An email to ask me about my setup, or even to restate "hey, this might not fit! Are you sure you're okay with that?" would've been received and appreciated. But since this is the route they chose, I'll never purchase another Vulcan product again.

Vulcan sent me a bent glute ham roller, refused to fix it claiming no warranty. Then fought my charge back on the credit card. Allot of effort on their part for a $69 that took them three months to ship. I’m sure they will delete this review. I have documentation proving my claim.

I recently purchased the three tier dumbbell rack. The rack is built very well but the finish work is horrible. There are sections of the rack where the paint is completely missing down to the bare metal. The rubber were the dumbbell sits is also torn and rub through to the bare metal. I would include more photos but it will not allow me to upload them.

In my experience, the description for the GHD is misleading and inaccurate for what I was expecting. Vulcan's product description states : "Fully adjustable dual pads with a slight angle. Easy pull pin and dual bearing slider for quick adjustment. Will accommodate any user 5ft to 7ft. Every feature that could be wanted in a GHD (Glute Hamstring Developer) has been incorporated into the Vulcan Glute Ham Developer" I found this machine to be tremendously difficult to adjust. The pull pins are not easy, they are basic screws that you have to completely untwist and remove, then use two hands to move the foot rollers/ down separately, completely guessing if you line up with a hole as you can't see due to the plastic rectangle holder, then try to re-screw the pin in--while still holding the roller in position. It's a 10-minute juggling process to try and get the correct setting. The dual bearing feels impossible to adjust. I'm 5'4'' 112 lbs and have to completely stand behind the machine, lean in, and push as if I'm doing a sled push to adjust the length. Then, need to repeat the guess and check process lining up the screw with the hole. The fixed crescent moon pads do not accommodate a smaller athlete. They go beyond the distance of my hip/pelvis to my ribs, limiting me from being able to do a full rep at 90 degrees- barely able to fold forward 30 degrees. The fixed roundness and size completely limit the range of motion. I tried fixing this by adjusting the length, but it either puts harmful pressure on my knees or above my ribs-- Leaving my hips unsupported and unable to engage the muscles properly. I feel this purchase was a complete waste of $599 for me. The description set an expectation that this could work for glute ham and hyperextension exercises, which is not the case for me. Unfortunately, the return policy results in losing more than half of what I paid after return shipping and the 20% restocking fee. The customer service team does not answer the phone and takes 3 business days to answer an email. I will not buy from Vulcan again and would not recommend their products to anyone.
