“I bought a pair of cast iron 45lb plates and got another pair weeks later. Hard to compare this item with a rival company's; 45lbs = 45lbs. What matters to me is price AND availability during the COVID shopping crisis. When I began assembling my home gym last year, I fell into the trap of going with that rival whose prices are low and come with free shipping. That rival's supply lines have dried up more than everyone else's, however, and I discovered I live so close to Vulcan that shipping was dirt-cheap. My advice to anyone is to check out shipping to your home. Vulcan's actual price was cheaper than that T company; with minimal shipping added, the total was literally pennies apart, AND Vulcan has a livelier supply line.”

“Phenomenal knurling, it’s aggressive, not sharp, and grippy. When I used the Fray beater bar I had to chalk up for every movement. With this Vulcan Absolute I only have to use it for deadlifts. I do front squats and power cleans so the passive center knurl is a thoughtful detail. The bar is stiff. No whip at all. It’s great for bench and squat, but took a little getting used to for DLs. I don’t think it has a negative impact on performance, though. I am not convinced that the ribbed sleeves actually generate enough friction to keep plates on, but either way I love the mat finish and overall aesthetic of them. Also the delivery was super quick. The website says there is a lead time of over a week. I got my “shipped” notification within 3-5 days and the bar arrived the next day. The packaging was bulletproof. 7/5 would recommend for serious lifters.”

“I was excited to get the notification that dumbbells were back in stock. I ordered quickly and received the shipment soon after. The rubber hex set is great. Grip feels good. And the dumbbells fit perfectly with the rack.”
