“I ordered the 160 lb Alpha Bumper Plate set. The customer service was outstanding. I had to use a Visa gift card, and they worked around it to utilize that as payment. They said they would call me back regarding the payment, and did so very quickly and promptly. The customer service was professional and very welcoming. Shipment was sent in 1-2 days, and arrived a day earlier than anticipated. I was very happy with the CS and would deal with them again! Regarding the plates: I used to use Rogue Comp plates and Hi-Temp bumpers. I work in a medical office and use the PT space (very confined with a lot of equipment all around). The loud bang and unpredictable bounce led me to search for new plates. After scouring the web, and reading several reviews of Vulcan and Alphas, I was skeptically sold. I reached out to people who owned Alphas and called some Crossfit gyms asking their feedback. All had very positive reviews. I just tested them right out of the box today. The plates were not smelly at all. Slight residue but nothing compared to other rubber plates. The bounce was low and noise was reduced compared to the Comp plates (when I dropped the comps it would sound like a gun shot went off). I use them indoor/outdoor (and drop them on 3/4" rubber mats, but when I train outside it is on concrete with the mats). After the first test, they fit great with my Rogue Ohio Bar, and bounce in minimal. My only concern over time is if they get scuffed on the cement. The rubber is a bit softer than I anticipated. Overall, I am fairly happy with the order and CS.”
