“I recently purchased a very nice bar and wanted to get some rubber-coated or all-rubber change that would not scratch the sleeves. After comparing prices, I decided to go with the Vulcan all-rubber V-Lock change set. The V-Lock set is functional and seems like it will be durable. The only real comment is that I had no idea that the plates themselves would be THAT much larger than standard metal or rubber-coated metal change plates. To give you an idea, the 5 kg plates are almost as large as a standard sized bumper plate. Not a problem or complaint, just an observation, in case smaller-sized change is an important consideration for you. I've trained in a gym that uses the Vulcan bumper plates that have held up really well and I fully expect that I'll get the same kind of reliability out of these rubber change plates. Thx.”

Hi Scott, Thanks for your review. Yes, the V-Locks are of a larger diameter than iron plates or rubber coated iron plates. Due to the V-Locks being solid rubber they have to be a bit larger in diameter to attain the listed weight . There is no IWF standard for change plate diameter so it's mainly up to the individual manufacturers and retailers discretion as well as being contingent upon density of materials used in manufacturing. They should give you years of service and we look forward to serving your equipment needs in the future.

“I love the 45lb bumper plates, why did I wait so long to get them?!? I utilize them for deadlifts, no oly lifting or dropping from overhead but I can't believe how much smoother my reps are now. It's great to be able to hold my last rep as long as possible with no worries about dropping and damaging my platform or subfloor.”

“If there were stars, I would give five out of five! I have a friend with rogue bumper plates that cost more and I think these are even better quality. The inserts definitely live up to the high standard they claim. Second, customer service was fantastic. After I ordered they verified my address within hours (because I share a zip-code with another town and it just always makes things confusing). I didn't receive my two 15lb plates in the shipment but when I called, I think her name was Amanda, and she immediately put in the shipment for me and I received them a couple days later with no hassle. The two different people I spoke to at Vulcan were pretty cool and very helpful and the product is very high quality.”

“The Vulcan One barbell has been good overall. I do have an issue with the black coating coming off so easily. I do understand that it has to be ultra thin for the knurling not to be affected too much. Also the knurling on the middle part of the barbell is very weak. The outer part is perfect. I almost returned it for this reason but decided it was too much trouble. All in all good product and follow up customer service. -Michael C.”

“I've been weightlifting shy of 2 years and finally decided on investing on a oly barbell. Really liked the stats on this bar vs what I saw on other sites, so I went with V3 Elite Oly bar. The bar looks, performs, and feels great so far. Knurling on it is what I was looking for and the bar is real smooth. Snatches and Cleans feel solid vs what we have at the box. Ordering from the site was simple and delivery was great! I would suggest this bar if it's in your budget it a steal at this price.”

Hi James, We reviewed your order from earlier this year. A 20lb Med ball that was on clearance due to discoloration and discounted at 40% along with a V-core wedge at the normal price were ordered. Are there any issues with these products?

“This was my first and last competition KB. I love it. I am a big guy, and I can do two handed swings on this bell. My kids love the look and it is sharp and gets the job done. When I purchase my next KB, it will be a Vulcan Absolute. Before them, I had only used the Iron bells, but no more.”

“Absolutely amazing bar. Very whippy, if you're aggressive enough you can even feel it at oscillate at 60kg, but not so much so that its like a limp noodle, you can very much feel how sturdy it is once you start throwing more weights on there and the spin is amazing, goes for days! The knurling is very aggressive but honestly i wouldn't have it any other way. The only other bearing bar I've lifted on before was with an American bearing 20kg barbell, but the vulcan standard is miles beyond that. Best money I've spent on my home gym so far. Would definitely love to get more barbells in the future from vulcan!”
