Just returned from Alvaston . standard of the hotel as really gone down. The bathroom had cracked shower tiles to the base also hadn't been cleaned underneath the sink & radiator. Empty bottle of shampoo was left in shower holder from the last guest. Dirty stain on chair in bedroom. We have been going to Warners for 22yrs several times a year we have seen a big change to many to mention. Having said all that we had an excellent waiter called Jamie he went over & above to make our dining experience pleasant.Highly commended. We also had an excellent afternoon tea, good selection of sandwiches and cake.really helpful polite staff especially Dee who was so knowledgeable . The entertainment was fantastic this weekend. So come on Warners up your game & let's have more of how it used to be Really Good Value, & a really friendly atmosphere.

Everthing except the Dining room set up. What has happened..? No menus, few staff, mucky servery, waiting times for water etc, the list is endless. The lovely people serving us did their best but meal times should be a good experience but at Gunton Hall it certainly was not. Before guests start to vote with their feet, can we please get back to how it was as my husband won't go back? and after listening to other comments neither will a lot of others. Along with that, the general maintainance of the pathways around the site neet attention, cracks and pot holes and unlit areas are becoming dangerous. On a positive note, the entertainment was good and we especially loved George.

Just returned from 4 nights at Gunton Hall. The grounds are very nice, staff very friendly and entertainment good. However, the standard of the restaurant has taken a low since last visit. It is now a complete buffet service. Very little choice of starters and desserts, only two hot staters offered each evening and these are repeated during the week. Only one hot dessert each day, poor cold desserts same every day, raspberry trifle did not contain any raspberries. There used to be at least four choices of high quality staters and desserts, not any more. Personally do not mine buffet service for mains but found again a restricted menu, for example only one fish option now instead of three. You need to be early in for meals before too many people have served themselves and spoil the food because many elderly people have difficulty with the large serving spoons. One elderly gentleman used his hand to pick cut strawberries from a bowl. The powers that be need to take a further look at this as it is not working for the type of clientele Warners caters for , but doubt anything will change. Have given four star review as over all we enjoyed our stay but the lowering of standards really deserves lower rating in future.

Just returned from Heythrop Park hotel. A family weekend break to celebrate a special birthday. Fantastic weather, surroundings and the beginnings of what will surely be Warners flagship when all the facilities are up and running. Due to what I suspect are the usual shortcomings of relying on contractors promises to finish building work on time ,Warners are left with the unhappy task of making apologies for this, however a 33% discount given as a sweetener did help. A stunning location with its grand approach, being a majestic tree lined drive over a mile long. A short walk from the car park with buggy assistance offered for those unable to do, this reveals the splendid architecture of the old mansion with the newer facilities adjoining. Attractively styled the newer parts lead to the old house with its beautifully furnished rooms and its decor with hints of William Morris in its design. Bedrooms are just as you would expect of Warners high standard and would grace most 5 star hotels. When all facilities come on stream it will leave little to be desired. Having said all this, alas I do have to add a negative that hopefully will be addressed before our next visit, and that is in the catering. The stunning restaurants appearance aside, some of the food left room for improvement. May I suggest the hot food being brought up to proper temperature and it’s retention of heat assisted by hot serving plates. Both of these detracted from what could have been a nice meal.which unfortunately ended up only half eaten. Another criticism was a poor rendition of a king prawn curry containing , not the afore mentioned, but tiny shrimps, and an abundance of peas. Not my idea of such a curry.Reference to a good Indian chef for advice would be my suggestion. Oh! and one other suggestion would be fresh bread rolls served with the meal not the reheated ones we were served. That said the desserts were nice and the waiters always polite and friendly. Have to mention yet again ,the outside activities which so many guests opt for, but are frequently disappointed, there not being enough slots provided for all. Despite Warners implying that all activities are available and suggesting that these are booked online with your hotel reservation all to often one is disappointed. This particularly apples to clay pigeon shooting which has to be booked on arrival. First come first served ,which is particularly disappointing as it’s an activity offered to encourage hotel bookings. Despite both positive and negative comments made in this review, it won’t deter our continued breaks at the many Warner hotels we have visited and in the main, enjoyed.

Our last evening of our 4 night stay at Littlecote House Wiltshire. Have had a very pleasant and restful time. All the staff have been courteous and helpfull.Entertainment, amenities all great. Our accommodation was very comfortable, the bathroom a little tired,it was situated in nice quiet spot and were able to park the car nearby which was a bonus for my husband. I was however disappointed that the garden’s were not able to be kept in better condition.

We went to CORTON. I am concerned that the food was good, nice place. Chalet was good.Entertainment...Butlin style. Staff very welcoming and helpful. BUT The HUGE let down is the shower . DO WARNERS THINK ALL LADIES CAN DO A HANDSTAND TO WASH THEIR LADY BITS IN SHOWER! !! There is a fitted shower which cannot be moved. We used bottles to spray water in that area! Come on Warner you letting the side down!!!

Stayed at Studley castle the first time staying at a Warners hotel. I was very impressed with how lovely it was inside with the refurbishment it has gone through. You get a very warm welcome on arrival and everything explained at check in. The hotel grounds and amenities are lovely and kept clean. The rooms are beautifully decorated and with the balcony the view is amazing. we soon got chatting to people . Lovely large walk I shower with fluffy gowns which are great to use in the spa. The cafe area and bar are very spacious. The staff there are very friendly. We were given a table in the restaurant for our 2 night stay and I must say a mention to Jasmine Crane who manages her team of waiter/ waitresses well under busy circumstances. Our waitress Sarah Kennedy served us with a smile and explained everything well nothing was too much trouble if we asked then she helped. It is a very large restaurant to serve so many . The buffet had good choice although I found the food mediocre. The entertainment was good with the resident band. Liked Ami Vasari her voice was amazing. The spa area could do with more loungers as we had to wait to get to use it to relax. All in all I enjoyed my stay here all the staff were lovely and friendly from the manager Graeme to the room attendants. Would stay again.

First time of visiting a Warners, checked in at 15.00 and after the first 15 minutes of problems at reception went to our room and was impressed with it. Hotel was clean, majority of the staff were friendly, nice grounds and entertainment was okay. Entertainment team were brilliant both throughout the day and evening. Motown & 60's night was disappointing but the entertainment teams Queen Rock night was superb. Problem with restaurant on first night made the wife want to pack up and leave at around 19.00 but the Hotel Manager and myself came to an agreement and we did stay and enjoyed ou 4 night break. To Senior Management: Big Bright Signs on either side of drive to hotel to make it easier for guests to find? An email 1 or 2 days before arrival to tell guests to pick up their keys and information from the hut on the left hand side of the driveway? Also in that email explain to guests that that upon entering the restaurant for the first time you "HAVE TO BE ALLOCATED A TABLE" by the restaurant manager!! In spite of this we would go back again.

Entertainment was great,Gavin Elllis, very talented, made me laugh,Garden room well equiped but could do with a repaint. On the whole food was very good , only probs. cod and chips, cod was awfull, and breakfast sausage could do with a better quality. My main problem was getting in touch with your customer services, terrible service and very very long wait too speak to a human, you must be aware how bad this service is, has put me off coming back again.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Studley Castle. Rooms were spotless, large and very comfortable bed. Activities were limited due to Covid but lovely relaxed feeling everywhere. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and service was prompt in the restaurant. The food in the Market Garden was not very inspiring but the quantity was adequate. Decor very whimsical in the public areas! Lovely setting. Only problem for us was the distances we had to walk, in common with all Warner hotels. A good break.

Food and service good, maintenance call very quick to attend, staff friendly and professional. Bowls facilities excellent. BUT. I was in TM604, the bathroom was bordering on dangerous. Cracked WC bowl, towel rail (if that is what it is)was unusable due to its location over the WC and visible electrical connections. You may say “ What do you expect for the price? “ My reply is “ Not 1950 standards”

The staff were always helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel and grounds were beautiful Only thing spoilt the stay was bathroom smelt foisty when we mentioned to receptionist it was deep cleaned but after couple days smell came back. The extractor fan was on more or less constantly during night and the noise kept us awake. We did tell receptionists but didn't help.

Excellent friendly staff nothing to much trouble had wonderful stay . Reviews I read quite unsure been going to warners 30 years never had problems. But few issues with wait times for meal but things could be improved by looking at booking we was a table for six and our 5able was always ready but had to que behind people waiting for smaller tables so maybe that could be looked. Ques were very long at times . But we did ask to go thro and was aloud . Food Excellent only 1 complaint first nght fish over cooked . Entertainment brilliant

Five of us enjoyed our break at Corton BUT the following are irritations. Decent furniture outside the chalets. £5 added to the price of a bottle of wine and general increase in drinks prices. Poor quality wine list. Diet lemonade on tab for diabetics. No coasters. No shop - come on we need a shop. More entertainment during the day. Don't touch the plates-where is the sign. Staff have trays to clear the tables. £60 for a patio, come on make you money up some other way.

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 day break at Littlecote House Hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay; the grounds are lovely with plenty of quiet sitting out areas and the roman remains are well worth a visit. The included activities are a definite plus point. The breakfast and dinner menus offered a good variety of choice, the food was well cooked and presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, while overall masks were generally worn indoors and arrangements generally provided reasonable distancing, this was not the case for the late evening entertainment in the main theatre. Very few people wore masks and spacing was at best minimal. This was made significantly less safe when the audience was encouraged to stand up and join in the singing, which large numbers did. We felt unsafe and left. As a consequence, and for this reason only, we will not be visiting a Warner hotel again during the present pandemic.
